Tom Jeffries, Chair of the Northern Neck Patriots, Shares Remarks on the Anniversary of January 6th | The Gateway Pundit

Tom Jeffries, Chair, Northern Neck Patriots

Guest post by Tom Jeffries, Chair, Northern Neck Patriots

While the mainstream media tries to hide the plight of J6 political prisoners, the nightly “Freedom Corner” vigil is held outside the DC Gulag to share their stories with the world.   Although the establishment is trying to silence them, this is a daily opportunity for them to know they are not alone.

The vigil was started in August of 2022 by Ashli Babbitts’ mother, Micki Witthoeft, and continues every night come rain, snow, blazing heat or freezing weather.

David Valentine (Freedom Express Media) and 1791Stormtrooper have been live-streaming the weekly vigils since the very beginning.

** Please support their work here. And here.

They are passionate about helping share J6er’s stories with an even wider national audience. They also provide ways for Americans to support the political prisoners by sending letters of support through patriotmailproject.com and highlighting important issues, including shining a much-needed light on the abuses taking place against J6ers inside prison.

Tom spoke yesterday at a rally and march in protest of political persecution outside of the Department of Justice Building and the FBI Headquarters.

Here are his remarks:

I’m going to talk today about Unintended Consequences. There are many consequences that came out of the events on January 6th three years ago. I’ll focus on just a few.

But first, a definition:

“The law of unintended consequences, often cited but rarely defined, is that… actions of people—and especially of government—always have effects that are unanticipated or unintended.” – Rob Norton; a previous editor at Fortune magazine.

So usually, unintended consequences refer to the negative outcomes from an otherwise well-meaning decision or plan of action.

Often, legislation that was enacted to fix a particular problem ends up creating new problems or worsening others.

We see it all the time. Especially in government. Do they assume no one is watching? Are they too distracted to think it through?

Even if unintended, should some consequences have been expected by the planners of this particular false flag?

I say that with January 6th we’ve seen UNEXPECTED consequences that have tremendous significance, that is positive.

But why unexpected?

Because the power brokers assumed they were dealing with a giant, Basket of Deplorables, when they set up and entrapped, otherwise peaceful and law-abiding Americans on J6.

Protesters at the Stop-The-Steal rally on January 6th came from all walks of life. with varying levels of formal education, yet they have proven to be, some of the most intelligent, common sense, patriotic Americans amongst us.

Their basic understanding of our Constitution and our God Given Rights is truly impressive.

Their core values that define the differences between wrong and right, are unshakeable. They know it in their hearts and souls.

These were not malleable, flappable, go-along to get-along kind of people. These were Patriots with a firm belief in Freedom, the rule of law, justice, and The First Amendment above all.

They had the courage to Stand up for their rights. They came to DC peacefully but with conviction that their voices would be heard.

So, what are some of the Unexpected Consequences of the heavy-handed abuse by the Department of Justice on these Deplorables?

1. Tenacity. These men and women and their supporters will never stop, never give up, never give in.
2. Resolve. The more they are trampled on, the more they will fight back, because they are fueled by the Truth.
3. Transparency. These people have been shoved down, and dragged through, the Judiciary Industrial Complex. In doing so they have shone a bright light on the flaws of America’s broken Court System and Incarceration System.
4. Courage. They are driven to the breaking point, and yet they find strength in God, in their brethren, in their families, and in all their supporters who know, that if our government can do it to them, they can do it to any one of us.
5. Patience and Hope. Which they would not have if we simply forgot about them, which we will never do for an instant!

GOD BLESS YOU PATRIOTS AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Far Left Pro-Hamas Host Mehdi Hasan Leaves MSNBC Following Cancellation of His Sunday Show (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Mehdi Hasan announced during the final broadcast of his Sunday show that he is leaving MSNBC.

“It’s been an absolute blast doing this live show on MSNBC for the past three years with an amazing team of producers behind me and with all of you watching at home, it’s been a privilege,” said the far-left host at the end of his show Sunday.

“It’s been a pleasure. But as we begin 2024 with an election coming, a war still ongoing, and too many Trump trials, honestly, to even keep track of, and with this show going away, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to look for a new challenge,” he added.

“Tonight is not just my final episode of the Mehdi Hassan show, it’s my last day with MSNBC. Yes, I’ve decided to leave.”

“To be clear, I am so proud, so, so proud of what we’ve achieved on this show, on this network. And I can’t thank you all enough for tuning in and for your support and for your feedback. But as I say, new year, new plans.”

Last November, MSNBC canceled Mehdi Hasan’s program as part of a broader shakeup of its weekend lineup.

While Hasan will no longer have his weekend show or his program on the Peacock streaming service, he remained with the network in the roles of an on-camera analyst and occasional fill-in host.

This decision comes after Hasan’s antisemitic remarks in the wake of Hamas’ brutal attacks against Israel, Semaflor reported.

It’s actually context for the coming (ongoing?) slaughter of innocent Gazans who had nothing to do with that barbarism at the festival. But the fact that you only care about unarmed people in Israel, and not Gaza, and I care about both, says more about you than it does me, David. https://t.co/7y3WroTmLe

Semafor reported:

MSNBC has quietly taken three of its Muslim broadcasters out of the anchor’s chair since Hamas’s attack on Israel last Saturday amid America’s wave of sympathy for Israeli terror victims.

The network did not air a scheduled Thursday night episode of The Mehdi Hasan Show on the streaming platform Peacock. MSNBC also reversed a plan for Ayman Mohyeldin to fill in this week on the network for host Joy Reid’s 7 p.m. show on Thursday and Friday. Mohyeldin, an Egyptian-American journalist and veteran NBC News correspondent covered the conflict from Gaza for two years. In 2021, he aggressively questioned Israeli leaders on strikes on the territory. Two network sources with knowledge of the plans told Semafor that the network also plans to have Alicia Menendez fill in this upcoming weekend for Ali Velshi, a third Muslim-American host who on Sunday interviewed a spokesman for the Palestinian Authority.

President Trump Calls on Biden to Fire Lloyd Austin | The Gateway Pundit

President Trump posted a statement on Truth Social Sunday night calling on Joe Biden to fire Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for “improper professional conduct and dereliction of duty.”

Austin, 70, has served as secretary of Defense since the start of the Biden administration in January, 2021. Austin has come under fire after the Pentagon revealed Friday he had been secretly seriously ill in an ICU since Monday without informing Joe Biden, White House staff or Congress for three or four days, respectively.

Austin’s job is reportedly safe for now, with Biden having spoken with him by phone on Saturday.

Trump posted, “Failed Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin should be fired immediately for improper professional conduct and dereliction of duty. He has been missing for one week, and nobody, including his boss, Crooked Joe Biden, had a clue as to where he was, or might be. He has performed poorly, and should have been dismissed long ago, along with “General” Mark Milley, for many reasons, but in particular the catastrophic surrender in Afghanistan, perhaps the most embarrassing moment in the history of our Country!”

Austin had an elective medical procedure on December 22 and was taken to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland because of severe pain according to a Pentagon statement released Sunday evening to reporters. The statement also said Austin was treated in the ICU and is remaining in the ICU for “privacy” even though he no longer needs that level of care.

Three days after his December 22nd medical procedure, pro-Hamas protesters staged a dawn protest on Christmas Day at Austin’s Falls Church, Virginia home (it is not known if Austin was at home then):

— DC Young Communist League (@DC_YCL) December 25, 2023

Politico reported on Biden’s phone call with Austin and why his job is considered safe (excerpt):

…Still, Biden held a “cordial conversation” with his defense secretary on Saturday night, per one of the U.S. officials. “The president has complete trust and confidence in Secretary Austin,” the official said. A National Security Council spokesperson echoed that sentiment, noting Biden “is looking forward to [Austin] getting back to the Pentagon.”

Four officials said Austin’s job seemed secure for the moment, especially after the phone call with Biden. They argued that it was a rare blemish in an otherwise strong tenure, namely cajoling Western nations to send advanced weapons to Ukraine, though Austin critics note he oversaw the chaotic military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The officials also noted that it was an election year, that Biden and Austin are very close due to the former general’s friendship with the president’s late son Beau Biden — they attended Catholic services while serving in Iraq — and that it would be hard to get another Defense secretary confirmed by the Senate.

Sunday night, the Washington Post also reported Austin’s job is safe (excerpt):

A senior official, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the situation, noted what he described as “an exceptionally close relationship” between Austin and Biden, whose son Beau served as military lawyer under Austin when he was a top commander in Iraq.

“There’s a lot of trust there on both sides, and this episode has not diminished that trust one bit,” this person said. “The president is looking forward to the secretary’s continued service.”

A White House official said Biden had “full confidence” in Austin and was looking forward to him being back at the Pentagon.

…If Biden himself was frustrated or concerned, he took little noticeable action as a result. On the evening of Jan. 6, after news of Austin’s condition was made public and consternation spread around the capital, Biden spoke by phone with Austin in what officials described as a warm conversation and the president wished him well in his recovery.

Biden has also long felt a sense of loyalty to Austin. After Austin’s return from Iraq, where he attended Catholic Mass with Beau Biden, he and the younger Biden stayed in touch.

The House Armed Services Committee issued a ‘sternly worded’ joint statement on Sunday by Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Ranking Member Adam Smith (D-WA):

U.S. Representatives Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Adam Smith (D-WA), Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, issued the following statement regarding the notification of Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III’s recent hospitalization.

“While we wish Sec. Austin a speedy recovery, we are concerned with how the disclosure of the Secretary’s condition was handled. Several questions remain unanswered including what the medical procedure and resulting complications were, what the Secretary’s current health status is, how and when the delegation of the Secretary’s responsibilities were made, and the reason for the delay in notification to the President and Congress.

“Transparency is vitally important. Sec. Austin must provide these additional details on his health and the decision-making process that occurred in the past week as soon as possible.”

Donald Trump Jr. cut to the heart of the matter in a Sunday afternoon post, “The deep state doesn’t bother telling Biden that his Secretary of Defense was hospitalized and out of commission for 4 days because they know he can’t comprehend what that means anyway and they think they’re the ones in charge and don’t need to follow the legal chain of command!”

Samsung confirms Galaxy S24 reveal, Microsoft faces big AI lawsuit

OPINION: We’ve officially entered 2024 which means it’s time for us to name our first winner and loser of the New Year.

With CES on the horizon, we expect to hear plenty of exciting tech announcements over the next week, but what about the last seven days? Keep reading to discover our winner and loser from the first week of January.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus rear held in handWinner: Samsung

This week has been packed full of Galaxy S24 rumours as Samsung officially announced a date for its next flagship smartphone launch

Samsung Australia tweeted a GIF teasing the next Galaxy Unpacked event on December 28. The GIF included the phrase “Galaxy AI is coming” alongside the date January 18 2024 with the event scheduled to kick off bright and early at 5am AEDT (that’s a slightly more reasonable 6pm GMT for those of us here in the UK).

This wasn’t the first we’d heard of Galaxy AI however. Samsung announced Galaxy AI back in November, calling it “universal intelligence on your phone”. One feature the company highlighted was AI Live Translate Call, a tool that will offer audio and text language translations in real-time in the phone’s native phone app.

We’ve also heard whispers of what might be in store for the new S series update. These include rumours of a flatter S24 and S24 Plus with straight edges, 4K/120fps video on the S24 Ultra, in addition to a big focus on AI

We’ll have to wait until January 18 to hear all the official details.

ChatGPT logoChatGPT logoLoser: Microsoft and OpenAI

Microsoft and OpenAI are our losers this week after it was reported that the two companies are currently facing a lawsuit from the New York Times

The New York Times is suing the two companies for their “unlawful use of The Times’s work to create artificial intelligence products that compete with it” when developing ChatGPT.

According to the lawsuit, ChatGPT, which was trained on large amounts of online data, was fed articles published by the New York Times without permission from the news outlet, or offers of compensation.

ChatGPT can now generate excerpts from New York Times articles usually stuck behind a paywall in response to questions, while Microsoft’s Bing browser has been spotted producing results from the New York Times without linking to the original article.

This information being readily available on ChatGPT and Bing has reportedly cost the New York Times money in subscription fees and advertising views, causing the news outlet to seek billions of dollars worth of damages.

We’ll have to wait and see how this lawsuit goes but if the New York Times is successful, it could certainly set a new precedent for how large language models are trained going forward.

Media Watchdog Finds 81 Percent of Political Late Night Jokes Targeted Conservatives in 2023 | The Gateway Pundit

The Media Research Center has looked at political late night entertainment in 2023 and found that 81 percent of the jokes were made at the expense of conservatives.

This isn’t surprising to anyone who has ever spent two minutes watching the Colbert show. He can’t make it through more than two or three sentences without mentioning Trump.

The reason for this is simple. These late night hosts are uncreative and they’re cowards. Conservatives are the only safe target that they know they can ridicule without getting into trouble with the left, who they fear.

FOX News reports:

Watchdog finds 81% of all political late night show jokes in 2023 targeted conservatives

A new study from the Media Research Center found that 81% of all political jokes told on major late night comedy shows in 2023 targeted conservatives.

The media watchdog analyzed each of the 9,518 political jokes told between six major daily late-night shows from January 3 through December 22, 2023, and found that 7,729 of them took aim at “someone or something on the right side of the political spectrum.”

The shows analyzed were ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (until its cancelation in April).

MRC also put together a video of some of the “worst late night moments of the year” to showcase several examples of late night comedy’s bias against conservatives.

Breaking down the data further, the watchdog found that some shows were more aggressive towards right-wing subjects than others. Kimmel’s show had the highest rate of anti-conservative jokes for a single show out of the six.

This is one of the reasons for Greg Gutfeld’s success. He is the only alternative. The only host who is willing to make fun of Biden and Democrats.

The rest of late night is so predictable, it’s boring.

Professor Jonathan Turley: The Biden Administration is the Most Anti-Free Speech Administration Since the Administration of John Adams (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley recently appeared on FOX News to comment on Biden’s awful speech at Valley Forge where he framed Trump and Trump supporters as a threat to democracy.

Turley was not impressed by the speech and reminded the audience about Biden’s awful record on free speech.

According to Turley, the Biden administration is the worst on free speech since the administration of John Adams who left office in 1801.

Townhall reports:

Jonathan Turley Criticizes Biden’s ‘Anti-Free-Speech Administration’

Turley suggested to Fox News that Biden’s speech was hypocritical by talking about the freedom to vote despite his own party attempting to strip Trump’s name from the 2024 ballot.

During his speech in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Biden said that defending democracy was a “central cause” of his administration. However, Turley pointed out that the Democratic Party has gone to great lengths to suppress the constitutional rights of Americans and their freedom to choose who they want running the country.

He lost me in the specifics. He talks about democracy being on the ballot but the ballot isn’t very democratic, his own party is trying to strip ballots of Donald Trump’s name to prevent people who want to vote for what appears to be the leading candidate for the presidency from doing that. So when he’s talking about the freedom to vote and have your vote count, his party is actively trying to prevent that and saying, really, you’re not just voting for me, just think you’re voting for democracy.

For those people, they really feel like, if we vote for you, do we get democracy back next time? Are we going to have all of the candidates on the ballot? I don’t think that effort will succeed. It’s worth noting when he talks about the freedom of speech, the Biden administration I have written before, is the most anti-free-speech administration since the administration of John Adams. I mean, his administration has carried out what a federal court called an Orwellian censorship program with the help of social media companies.

Here’s the video:

Biden is a tyrant. He is everything the left falsely claimed Trump would be.

Toronto Police Defend Delivering Hot Coffee to Hamas Supporters Blocking Bridge Near Jewish Neighborhood | The Gateway Pundit

Police in Toronto, Ontario were caught on video hand-delivering a to-go box of hot Tim Horton’s coffee to Hamas supporters on Saturday who were blocking a bridge near a Jewish neighborhood. The coffee was brought to the bridge by protesters who were not allowed to join the blockade. Two police took the coffee and a bag of snacks and delivered them to the Hamas supporters blocking the bridge.

Laura Brabant, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, posted twice on X Twitter to defend the coffee delivery to the anti-Semitic terrorist supporters:

“Our officers are managing a dynamic situation. In performing a helpful act today, our officer’s motivation was to help keep tensions low and should not be interpreted as showing support for any cause or group. Our officers continue to work to de-escalate these demonstrations”

And:

“Officers in Toronto are often publicly criticized for heavy handed tactics used during demonstrations. Today, given a very dynamic situation, officers continued to work to de-escalate these demonstrations and maintain calm and the public’s safety”

Liberal MP Marco Mendicino, who represents the area of the protest, criticized police, posting, “Good intentions aside, police serving coffee and food to protestors will just embolden more deliberate obstruction of traffic, undermine public safety, and add to local frustrations. Laws exist to prevent this. They need to be enforced!…Given the persistent disturbances, the City should look at using s.214.1 under the Highway Traffic Act to designate a community safety zone at the intersection of 401 & Avenue Rd, and other neighbourhoods that may have been impacted.”

Fellow Liberal MP Anthony Housefather also criticized police, “Police bringing food and coffee to demonstrators in the current context of the protests in Toronto was a very poor decision by @TorontoPolice. Unless the goal is to further undermine confidence in the way the force is handling the demonstrations.”

Far Left UC-Berkeley Has Built A WALL to Keep Protesters Away From the Construction of a New Building | The Gateway Pundit

The University of California-Berkeley is building a new residence hall and leftists aren’t happy about it for some reason and have been protesting at the construction site.

In response, the school has built a wall at the site to keep the protesters away. But how can this be? Democrats and the media have been saying for years that walls are racist and don’t work.

The school apparently involved the police, too. Why would Berkeley do this?

The College Fix reported:

UC Berkeley builds wall, calls in cops to stop construction protestors

University of California Berkeley officials have built a wall using cargo containers and barbed wire to keep out protestors of a proposed residence hall.

UC Berkeley deployed at least 100 police officers to guard People’s Park, the proposed site of the new residence hall, according to the student newspaper. The university plans to operate 24-hour dining to feed law enforcement Berkeleyside also reported.

“While the university is unable to start development of the park pending a decision by the California Supreme Court, the university is allowed to place fencing around the park,” The Daily Californian reported on Thursday.

The park has been the site of protests from students and local activists who want to preserve the park for open use. In August 2022, activists mourned the loss of trees cut down with a Sunday memorial service, as previously reported by The College Fix.

The university previously used fencing in August 2022.

Trees were removed and cars will be towed to allow the university to build a cargo container wall, much like the one Arizona built along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Around 2:30 a.m., crew began taking down trees along the perimeter of the park, as permitted by a city public works permit issued Wednesday,” the student newspaper reported. “However, multiple sources have reported that cars along the park’s perimeter streets — Haste Street, Dwight Way and Bowditch Avenue — have been towed.”

Will Democrats condemn Berkeley as racist for doing this?

Police ousted dozens of activists and homeless campers from the People’s Park in Berkeley, California, the site of counterculture protests in the 1960s, to make way for a wall of shipping containers to block entry to the park. https://t.co/6fTRb7Vjbs
