Audio: Tony Perkins, unable to refute gay Eagle Scout, spins like a top; claims Girl Scouts promote homosexuality

Tony Perkins admits that he doesn't want "other scouts who might be homosexual that would be in my environment with my son," proving that his fears are not all about the adult/child fear lines that he and his fellows are using to support their anti-inclusvity. This admission is just one link in the chain of canards that the FRC president uses against a bona fide gay Eagle Scout—the very kind of human being who Tony marginalizes and discriminates against for a living:

Video: FL pastor vs. Sam Champion, 'Modern Family', spectrum of human normalcy

And now listen in as Florida pastor Gordon Godfrey Jr. talks to his congregants as if they are visitors to a new planet called 2013, with gay people the alien inhabitants whose existences are sustained by pumping propaganda rather than blood:

(*Clip is cued to right point; you can stop listening at 13:25)

Sam Champion's wedding made you "'bout fall of your chair," pastor? I can honestly say I've never had the sort of reaction to any heterosexual marriage, anywhere, at any time. Sure, I might be...

My legally married gay husband continues to photobomb NOM; I'm so proud

NOM is in love with the back of my husband's head! This makes twice this month that Andrew's adorable little noggin has appeared in a NOM propaganda photo:

That's right, baby—get on up in there and turn your back on those who are trying to take away your marriage!

Laurie Higgins finds our marriages inconceivable, our acceptance 'pernicious'

More insight into the Illinois Family Institute's aggressive myth-making, here one day before the organization's big lobby day in Springfield:

"If we say and do nothing as homosexuals and their ideological allies vigorously push to legalize what should be inconceivable, we bear significant responsibility for the presence of pernicious, fallacious ideas in elementary schools.

If we say and do nothing while the government becomes complicit in the destruction of marriage, we bequeath to our child...

If NOM believes its own Facebook post, then NOM is exceedingly cruel

It always blows my mind when anti-equality organizations post claims like this:

[NOM Facebook]

The claim is debatable, in and of itself. But if NOM really does believe this claim to be true, doesn't it make NOM's day in, day out war on same-sex marriage that much worse? I mean, if their own claim is true, wouldn't this be proof positive of the harms that they are bringing to the lives of otherwise qualified same-sex couples who seek the freedom to marry? Aren't they just giving the Supreme Cour...

Bryan Fischer says gay couples committing 'infamous crime against nature'

Please remember, this is a talk show host to whom top Republican lawmakers still cater:

Please also remember: He talks this way because he wants people to believe it. The American Family Association employs him to do it.

36th book review might just be my favorite

This book review, from a parent of a teenage son, kind of sums up what I sought out to accomplish. Thought I'd share:

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I bought this book, as I had never heard of Jeremy-but it sounded interesting so I thought I would give it a go. I am so glad I did-it was exactly like having a conversation with a friend (albeit one who loves to go off at a tangent and goes from A-B by way of C,D,E,F and of course G!) I finished the...

NOM lifts pro-gay blogger's personal travel photo

David Simmer II has written eloquently about his support for full LGBT equality:

The simple answer [why I support LGBT equality] is because I am a human, and believe that nobody should be treated differently because of how they're born. Whether it be because a person has blue eyes… or freckles… or is tall… or is short… or is gay… or whatever. That's how they were made, that's how they are, and that's how they're going to be. To punish somebody or treat them as a lesser person because of who th...

Do not be deceived—tomorrow's anti-#ILequality lobby day is all about 'rescuing homosexuals'

Linda Jernigan wants to "convert" gays just like one might convert gamblers, drug addicts, or liars:

Linda Jernigan has written a book that seeks to "rescue" gay people:

And tomorrow, Linda, who has been working hand in hand with the Illinois Family Institute, will be at the Illinois state capitol telling lawmakers that they too should "save" gays from ourselves. But she'll do it in the "nice" way, of course:

And some of us just call you wrong, Ms. Hoffman (#NotTheVictim)

Former Family Research Council intern Anna Maria Hoffman is the "victim" in this whole fight to deny civil marriage rights to taxpayers like my husband and me. Don't believe me? Well here, let her tell you herself:

Yikes.

(1) If you see this civil marriage debate as anywhere close to on par with a popularity contest, you're doing it wrong. Step one: stop focusing on whatever ancillary noise you seem to have empowered and instead focus on the actual matters at hand.

(2) Stop blaming loving same-s...
