IFI pushes tweets calling Obama 'evil', attacking 'sodomy-based marriage'

The following comes from the official Twitter account of the Illinois Family Institute, the organization trying to stop civil marriage equality in the Land of Lincoln. Note the two retweets of Bryan Fischer's reliably hostile views:

@profamilyIL

That our constitutional rights are still up for debate is frustrating enough; that this is what passes for oppositional argument is downright enraging.

This week, Illinois' House Executive Committee is expected to vote on the marriage bill. May the IFI's...

Does NOM want the SCOTUS to see gays as 'against Mother Nature'? Because NOM's #marchformarriage speaker does

Another reminder from March 4 Marriage, the page we have set up to challenge NOM's planned "March For Marriage" outside of the Supreme Court:

AUDIO: NOM Exposed

There are only twenty-nine days before SCOTUS takes up the marriage cases and NOM marches outside in protest. Help us build momentum for our side—the one that thinks Mother Nature is quite fond of her LGBT creations, thank you for very much. Go LIKE: https://www.facebook.com/march4marriage

Freedom for 'flee'-dom: 'New York' looks at divorce equality

It's not as enjoyable to talk about, for obvious reasons. However, one important component of being able to enter into a legal marriage is the ability to exit from said marriage in the (hopefully unlikely) event that the need arises.

This week's New York magazine takes on the important topic of divorce equality:

DivnySNIP: Divorce, one lawyer tells me, “provides a forum with rules and guidelines to keep people from giving in to their very worst impulses.” For gay couples, though, the Byzantine chao...

Matt Barber: Gay activists 'use' gay kids as 'pawns'

The ever-measured Matt Barber, star Liberty Counsel attorney and Liberty University course instructor, has penned a particularly reprehensible "open letter" to gay teens of the world. A snip:

God’s word also says that when we sin sexually, it’s particularly egregious because our bodies are the temple of Christ. This separation from God – a natural result of sexual sin – can lead to depression and even despair.

If you feel such despair, know this: it is not “homophobia” causing it, as adult enab...

In which Scott Lively makes First Lady guffaw, tap hubby's arm, exclaim 'honey, look at this bull…'

Because he starting to seem just too mainstream…

Scott Lively, 'Kill The Gays' Bill Supporter, Pushes Claim Obama Is Gay, Dating Reggie Love [Huffington Post]

Although considering Mr. Lively's record, perhaps the biggest shock is that he didn't claim the President is dating Bo Obama.

NOM's Communications Director: Marriage is more than law; is supernatural and natural

This is one of the top surrogates for the organization working to deny us CIVIL marriage, the National Organization For Marriage (so-called):

FULL CONVO (with awesome activist Rob Tisinai)

A deeper reality than law? Hmm. Well I, for one, hope the Supreme Court sticks to the, um—law.

NOM is now a joke. Seriously, a joke. Like we should all laugh at them. Because they're a joke.

In 2012, the National Organization For Marriage launched an ad called "Compromise." The whole thing claimed that civil unions were a "common sense compromise" in New Hampshire. Flashback:

But get this. NOM is now trying to stop civil unions in Colorado. And now? Well, look what the ever-disingenuous NOM has to say about civil unions

It is jaw-dropping, this hypocrisy. This is not a different NOM than the one that gave its campaign in favor of New Hampshire civil unions the "Compromise"...

Always the 'victim' (cc @RickWarren)

That fast food CEO said gay people's marriage bring on God's judgement.

That pastor said that homosexuality is a malfunction and said gay people need to be "changed."

That church has a pastor who, in addition to being very anti-gay, has also gone after Mormons, Catholics, Jews, and Muslims.

Oh, and as for that Rick Warren? He's directly compared homosexuality to incest or pedophilia, as well as likened the gay "struggle" to anger or having multiple sexual partners:

YOU. ARE. NOT. THE. ONES. BEIN...
