Marilyn Musgrave now opposes Prop 8? Wait, what? WHAT?!?!? (**UPDATED! Musgrave denies it all)
Marilyn Musgrave was like the Maggie Gallagher of Congress. She was the co-sponsor of the so-called Federal Marriage Amendment and claimed marriage equality to be "antithetical to our national character." The former congresswoman (who was once ranked as the House's most conservative member) spent part of 2012 on a bus with the aforementioned Gallagher (seen at left) encouraging voters to support Rick Santorum precisely because of his stances on things like marriage.
Folks, this is a truly shoc...
NOM's Roback Morse: 'Ex-gay" testimony 'knocked my socks off'
At last night's Illinois House Executive Committee hearing, the National Organization For Marriage's Jennifer Roback Morse had a front row seat to hear Linda Jernigan, the professional "ex-gay" with a penchant for saying truly nasty things about LGBT people and our "cause" for being, testify about how God "changed" her:

Republican operative Brian Brown forgets politics' 'do not harm' axiom
Make no mistake: Brian Brown is a Republican politico. He's a partisan. Not only is his National Organization For Marriage a GOP-centered group, but Brian also runs a side project called ActRight, which has a mission of electing conservatives to office.
That being so, it's astounding to hear Brian's willingness to piss off his own party just so he can direct his single-issue myopia toward bully candidates to have a differing view. Speaking to Capital New York, Brian says of pro-equality Congre...

BREAKING: Illinois House Exec. Committee advances #il4m bill!
By a vote of 6–5 (and after anti-equality testimony from two "ex-gays" and one Jennifer Roback Morse), the Illinois House Executive Committee voted in favor of the marriage equality bill. Now on to the full House!!

NY state senator Rubén Díaz bussing crowds to NOM's #marchformarriage
When Rev. Senator Rubén Díaz tried (and failed) to stop marriage equality in New York, he headed up a coalition that bussed people in from all over the area in order to create the illusion of a local crowd supportive of the National Organization for Marriage. Now Díaz is using those same "skills" for NOM's upcoming march in Washington:

Person who's about to testify against IL equality: Gay men want marriage to 'feel better' about 'deeply wrong' sexuality
Following up on the piece I wrote for GLAAD, here now is NOM's own Jennifer Roback Morse giving us more insight into what motivates both her employer and the opposition movement in general. Carlos Maza brings us the shocking clip:
NOM’s Morse: Gay Men Are Desperate To “Feel Better” About Their “Deeply Wrong” Homosexuality [Equality Matters]
Ms. Roback Morse will testify before the Illinois House Executive Committee in just a few hours. I dare her: "BRING IT! ALL OF IT!"

Video: Margaret Hoover makes conservative case for equality (#RightTurns #WellRounded)
Not so long ago, NOM branded a new phrase: "Margaret Hoover Republicans." This is what they're scared of:
