Envisioning NOM board member's contribution to the comic canon
DC Comics has hired incendiary National Organization For Marriage board member Orson Scott Card to write two digital-only editions of Superman. Artist Ben Bates and writer Ryan Sohmer imagine what that might look like

To be fair, Lex Luthor does kind of sound like a gay couple.
And now for your Ash Wednesday message of unity: Springfield Bishop says pro-equality Catholics 'harm the common good of society'
Thomas Paprocki, the Illinois Bishop who has most actively pitted his personal faith convictions against the shared public policy of his supposedly church-separated state, is using the date of tomorrow's planned senate vote on the Illinois marriage bill to position his cause as the "martyred" one. This before he comes right out and says that Catholics who disagree with him (i.e. the majority of Americans Catholics) are both against the church and harming society.

Just in time for V Day, Peter Sprigg denigrates every gay person's marriage
Yesterday afternoon, Family Research Council issued a press release pushing media to book Senior Fellow Peter Sprigg as an "expert" on same-sex marriage. Because of astute commentary like this:

Oh. And here I thought my marriage was beneficial to me, my family, and the community that benefits in a number of ways from the general welfare that my marriage instills with me. Good thing I have a straight man—one who has admitted his desire to both "export" and criminalize me, even—to te...

Brian Brown: Orson Scott 'I will bring down government if it supports gay marriage' Card is a victim
Orson Scott Card isn't a mere supporter of "traditional marriage." The National Organization For Marriage board member, who also once wrote a nasty treatment of Hamlet that portrays the king as evil because he was gay, has pointedly declared that "any government that attempts to change [marriage] is my mortal enemy" while stating his intent to "destroy that government and bring it down, so it can be replaced with a government that will respect and support marriage, and help me raise my childr...

Video: Anne Heche's mom refuses to 'celebrate' homosexuality (or alcoholism)
We haven't heard from Anne Heche's "ex-gay" advocate mom in a while. So here, let's catch up with this new Christian television appearance all about her work "saving" LGBT from ourselves.
There are a few LGBT-specific chunks, but this cued-up section about LGBT peeps "misusing" the word "celebrate" tells you what you need to know:
And now for another fair, measured, totally astute legal analysis from Liberty Counsel's Matt Barber
Oh why oh why can't Matt be the one arguing the Prop 8 and DOMA cases before the Supreme Court? Pretty please?
