“We are in a long-distance relationship with the sun, everyone just keeps rollin, it is like we are all the most beautiful toilet paper.”
it would be cool to throw a bunch toilet paper off a cliff and hold onto one end or not hold on to one end and just have a bunch of toilet paper in the ocean getting soggy and picked at by birds or fish

“When you’re not yourself you’re Tyler Gobble. When you lose your voice, it’s in Other People’s Poems. Infusing the oracular into homage, these poems writhe on the fault line of their temples, channeling and challenging their contemporaries. Such fearlessness and range is a rarity. ‘What are your eyes doing over there?’ You ask yourself. Look to Gobble to find out.”
-Roberto Montes, author of I DON’T KNOW DO YOU

“If I regret anything about love it’s not doing whatever I can to be the stupidest man alive.”
i’m working daily to become the stupidest man alive. i actually haven’t worked all week since georgia had an ice storm and then all the schools decided that it’s still too soon. meanwhile, we’ve been referring to grandma’s house as the slushlodge because that’s what we’re surrounded by. before that it was the sledlodge because all the kids in the neighborhood have been really into sledding down driveways and across cul de sacs. i even saw a dad pulling kids’ sleds through the streets behind his luxury, off-road golf cart. we’ve been sleeping late, watching the olympics, and yesterday we watched magnolia while drinking mimosas and coors light. i’ve been tucking my sweatshirt into my zubaz. i feel close to achieving my goal of being the stupidest man alive.
