Twelve of 2012
It wouldn’t be the end of the year without a “top” list post, would it?
Some of these are firsts for us, some are exciting, some are unwanted. But here are twelve diabetes-related things that have impacted our family.
Top 12 of 2012

{Kids First & Other Places} December
ReviewsThe Motherhood
“This book will tell you everything that doctors and specialists will not. Leighann doesn’t explain how to manage the medical aspects of diabetes, but rather, how to avoid allowing the medical aspects of the disease to take over daily family life. {There is More to Life Than Diabetes} Rapping Mum
(Not about diabetes today, but I love these videos.)
You know I like some rapping mamas, especially ones who drive a swagger wagon.
Watch this rapping British mum. I love the line about sleep deprivation and the one about her designer couch.

I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time in my mini. And by mini, I mean the used mini van we purchased earlier this year.
Thanks to new mom Gina for the video.

{Our Story} What A D-Mom Won’t Do
Sunday night I started readying the kids backpacks for the week. I knew I had several things I needed to remember before we left the house Monday morning.
Snack for my son’s class (frozen yogurt tubes).
Small cooler by the garage door so I wouldn’t forget said yogurt tubes.
Two bricks of juice boxes in Q’s backpack because the teacher mentioned on Friday that they were running low. (Oh, just made a pun!)
Library books in each kids’ backpack because heaven forbid they not get to check out a new on...
