{Beginning the Insulin Pump} Boo to Injections
As I was looking at old posts I realized that it might be helpful to share our thought process and experience as we decided to go from multiple daily injections (MDI) to an insulin pump. My daughter “Q” was diagnosed at 3 (almost 4) and started using an insulin pump about 18 months later during kindergarten. Join me each day this week as I share posts about beginning the insulin pump.

{Snack Find} Popcorners
The grocery store had these out as a sample. Since Q liked them and they are milk-free, I threw some in our cart and have been putting them in her lunch all week.
It’s 22 carbs for a 1-oz serving, but half a serving is more than enough for the lunchbox.
Ingredients: yellow corn, sunflower oil, sea salt.
Gluten-free
Milk-free
They come in several flavors, which you can see on the Popcorners website.

{Diabetes Management} Treating Lows While Sledding

We live in the flat Midwest and we have one hill in town. I take that back, there is another good sledding hill across town, but this one man-made hill is the sledding hill th...
