(By the way - I'm Canadian - so colour has a u in it.) This is probably the last week of Dancing in Circles for a bit - I may switch to a new story as I have a new release coming out soon.

He ran his fingers through his hair and said, "We're the same colour and nationality. Religion isn't a factor here, so that leaves social or economic standin'. Ya live in rich Westland and I'm from North Shore. I expected you'se guys to hate me. I was hopin' maybe somebody'd get to know me before they found out what I am."

Saturday night was supper and a movie with Shamus and Reginald, the sheep dog. Sometimes dinner was lavish, and dessert decidedly decadent; Madagascar vanilla ice cream drizzled with a hot fudge sauce made with fifteen different kinds of cacao and the whole thing is presented in a solid gold goblet topped off with edible gold! We aren't going to talk about the coffee. Seems it doesn't come from coffee bean, but a civet cat.Then there were the less formal affairs – takeout pizza and beer.It didn't matter what the food was, I really didn't taste it. All I focused on was Shamus.

With Jacobs being sick today, I had to hurry to get the last of the flower beds cleaned and prepared for spring plantings. The past winter had been bitter. It seemed tree branches and mouse damage wreaked havoc on every one of the one hundred and sixteen different flowerbeds.I slipped my key into the lock, opened the shed door, stepped inside and shut it behind me. Closing my eyes, I allowed myself a moment to indulge in the beauty of his eyes. Emerald green. As brilliant as the gems locked among the diamonds at Tiffany's. Not that I shop there. Couldn't possibly afford anything on a junior gardener's salary, but I do fantasize when wandering the aisles.What would it be like to be with a man like that? For those few moments in his presence, I was unable to think. My breath caught in my lungs. My palms were slick with beads of sweat. I shook my head, opened my eyes, and tugged the ever-present hair tie off my wrist. "Get over yourself, Darcy. A man like that wants a super model who can slink around on eight-inch heels. Not someone who digs in the dirt all day."

Hi, I'm Daryl Devore and I'm excited to be here with this fabulous boxed set - Crashing Into Love. Six super-talented authors and myself banned together to create a series of romance stories around plane crashes. We had some rough patches as we sorted out the details of the stories, but it was eventually decided that the stories would not originate from one plane crash but from seven.
The stories take place all over the world - D'Ann Lindun's Falling Hard is based in the Canadian Wilderness, Jenna Jaxon's Crashing Through Time is based in England and mine - Braced For Impact - takes placed on a tiny tropical island off the coast of Venezuela.

Lori gagged on the bile rising in the back of her throat. She inhaled sharply to calm her stomach. Isolated way back here in no-man's land at the back of the plane. No one's hand to hold for comfort. Alone. Scared. Please."He turned his head, glancing at her. Lori blinked. She'd noticed him as she did her rounds of economy class. Sexy tousled hair. An unshaven chin. Gorgeous smile.Focus on your job. "Sir. Please. Sit. Down."He grabbed a bag out of the bin, slammed it shut and returned to his seat.Her heart raced as she shouted out the words she'd practiced in flight attendant school a hundred times and prayed she'd never have to use. "Head down. Brace. Brace." She hoped the sound of her voice could offer a moment's relief to the terrified passengers in economy. They were her passengers. If she could hold each of their hands, she would. "Head down. Brace. Brac—"The plane dropped and shuddered.Lori's professional calm shattered. The passengers under her care were going to die. She was going to die. The sensation of utter loneliness swamped her. She clenched her fists until her short nails dug into the palms of her hands. Pressure built in her ears. She tried all the tricks she knew, but the pressure wouldn't release. We're dropping too fast.
