Robert's curiosity is peaked from Dancing in Circles on Weekend Writing Warriors #8Sunday
Welcome to another weekend of Weekend Writing Warriors. My 8 sentence snippet this week is from my first release from my NA contemporary romance – Dancing in Circles- Book 1 of Circles Trilogy.
Scene Set - Julie and Robert are at the vegetarian restaurant. Julie threw some unknown salad fixings onto Robert's plate.
Robert stared at his meal and said, "If I die eatin' this I'm comin' back to haunt ya."Julie chuckled. "Get caught up on all your homework?""Gawd, I hope so. Between school, homework and work, I've got about six hours sleep this past week." He rubbed his face."Did you hear the rumours about you and Mr. Parks?"Robert scrunched his brow as he eyed something hanging off the end of his fork and asked, "What's this?"
Blurb – One born into privilege and a charmed life surrounded by love and family. The other born to a life of violence on the streets as the solemn gang leader of the notorious Shoresmen. A young, idealistic co-ed, Julie, meets a jaded, cold gang member, Robert, and cracks his icy shell, allowing the warmth of her love to awaken his soul.
AMAZON
What people are saying about Dancing in Circles5 stars - Julie I liked, but Robert, loved that guy. He's thrown some insurmountable circumstances to overcome, but he manages a way around it all quite nicely. While he may be the 'bad boy', he still has a heart of gold. The author did a nice job expressing that while we may not all travel the same paths in life, we still are essentially the same people and deserve happiness alike.
5 Stars - I loved the cover, as well as the story. I liked the school setting, and the description in the beginning of Julie and her friends. Julie is the dreamer, searching for a happy ending. I also liked Robert, who is a "bad boy" gang leader. "from the wrong side of the tracks," etc. One of Julie's relatives says he has a heart of gold, and he does. He's smart and practical and I think he's great.
5 Stars - Author Victoria Adams does an excellent job at bringing characters to life. I really enjoyed living through Julie's dream of becoming a dancer and her connection with Robert. Yeah, Robert may have gotten himself in the wrong crowd, but he really does portray a compassionate person and in the end he really does grow on you. Can't wait to see the next one in the series!

Contemporary romance- Circles Interlocked on Book Boyfriend Cafe #HotForFriday
');
A swoon worthy line from Circles Interlocked - Book 3 of Circles Trilogy.
scene set - Julie and Robert are in bed.
In the faint moonlight, Julie could see Robert's dark eyes had turned from exhaustion to lust.He wanted to finish what'd been interrupted in the barn. He lowered his face to her lips, savouring the sensations that electrified his body. His kiss was soft as it grazed her skin, just enough pressure to tease - to make her desire more.She trickled the tips of her fingers up his back. Her hand paused. Memories flooded her mind; laughing in class, kissing, eating supper together and being wrapped in each other's arms. How could she have driven him away? She had loved him. He'd loved her. She should've guessed what he'd done and not so many years hating him. She should've trusted him. Trusted those eyes, hands and lips. "I'm so sorry."He slid his body up hers. She could feel his hardness pressing against her belly. "You wanna talk?""I...I...feel...""You feel soft and feminine and decidedly sensuous. You feel and smell like the woman I love. She loves and forgives me for all of my faults and misdeeds and I had forgiven her long ago." He rolled over to his back and settled Julie on his stomach. "You sound like a woman whose head's lost in a whirlwind. Unable to focus on what's important."His hands roamed across her, leaving a trail of tingling sparkles in her flesh. "Forget about the past. Don't think about the future. I'm here and I want your attention. I want to make love to you." Julie felt her insides grow hot, her skin flushed and her toes curled in excitement. His voice deepened. "What I really want to do is to shatter your evening. To feel your heat and passion as your control gives way to an animal lust."Lost in his words and his touch, Julie's head swirled with the sensations swarming through her body. Her chest heaved with desire. Her heart pounded in anticipation. She was unable to respond verbally to Robert. She could only react by instinct. Willingly she released herself to his hands, lips and body and let herself be consumed by their animalistic passion.
Circles Interlocked - Having been betrayed by the man she assumed she was destined to be with forever; Julie Anderson slapped Robert Holiday in an angry ending to their brief love affair. Heartbroken that her love affair didn't end with the fairy tale Happily Ever After, Julie leaves town to pursue her dream of being a dancer. As fate has a curious sense of humor, eight years later, they wake up in bed together. Now it is up to love to fix what time cannot mend.

New Release - Hans M Hirschi's Willem of the Tafel and Guest Post
Willem of the Tafel by Hans M. Hirschi
Willem of the Tafel byHans M. HirschiPublished byBeaten Track PublishingGenres: Adventure, Fantasy, LGBT, Post-Dystopian, Young Adult 194 pagesRelease Date: May 28, 2015
Why I wrote Willem by Hans M. Hirschi
Willem of the Tafel was not a given book. I never set out to write Sci-Fi. But when I saw that dance performance at the Gothenburg Opera House last fall, a dystopic future with lots of plastic and misery, something triggered my mind to give it a shot.So I needed a backdrop, a story around which my dystopia would revolve. And out came a world in which, at least initially, the world population was reduced to a mere 417 souls, living underneath the famous Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. In that mountain, the surviving population of the city had sought refuge from the “Great War”, an all out nuclear disaster that would strike Earth about a century from now.Naturally, I had to explain why, and I had to create this underground world, a world which had sustained itself for four centuries after the war. My initial thought was to write the entire novel about Tafel, as we meet it in the initial chapters.But hey, there’s the slight complication of my brain, right? And so, somewhere along the line, my hero gets in a jam and is exiled, to certain death on a surface the Tafelians believe not to be habitable. It would have been the end of the story. They toss him through the gates and Willem dies, from suffocation, radiation poisoning or at least starvation.While some people are saved by the bell, this particular story was saved by my subconscious, which, after I had done some very conscious research into nuclear winter and post-apocalyptic scenarios from the cold war era (these days, no one cares about the effects of nuclear war), shows that life on earth should once again be possible after four centuries, and so Willem leaves the Tafel and the real adventure begins. I hope you’ll join him on his wondrous adventures on a planet, given another lease at life.
The world we know is gone, destroyed by greed and ignorance. On a post-apocalyptic Earth, centuries into the future, few have survived the Great War. Some have taken refuge deep inside a mountain. One of them, Willem, is exiled to the surface... Alone and struggling to survive, Willem embarks on an epic journey, making a discovery that could once again alter the future of humanity. Willem of the Tafel is an epic tale of survival, second chances, hope and undying love.

She dropped a couple of strange looking brown things beside his radishes.When they returned to their booth, their waitress asked, "What can I get for drinks?""Lemonade, please," Julie said as she settled into her seat.Robert put his plate on the table and sat. Do places like this even have a liquor licence? "I'll have the same."

Spotlight on Fran Lee's latest - Changing all the Rules
Haley has a husband she still loves, but who has the Saturday-night, three-minute orgasm—his—down to a fine art. She has been married for over ten years, but her bedroom experience is virtually nil. She wants her man to try something exciting, something new. Like actually giving her an orgasm instead of falling asleep. But Harry seems to be quite content with their once-a-week, damn near choreographed, and very vanilla sex.
When her closest friend tells her she should think about livening up her pathetic sex life, and offers a swap...or maybe a threesome, Haley is utterly shocked, and in total denial that there is a problem with her marriage. Yet despite her amazement that she has been so naive that she had no idea her best friend was interested in taking a test drive on her husband, or that her friend's husband had expressed his wish to get into Haley's pants, another more intriguing suggestion catches her off guard.
When her best pal suggests she hook up with her younger brother, Josh, Haley can't get that totally shocking idea out of her head. Josh! The hot, younger kid she'd had a "sorta-crush" on back in high school?
The last time she'd seen Josh was before graduation. The kid had followed her around like an overgrown puppy through high school...three years her junior, but already showing the delicious promise of what he would become as a man. And her pal tells her that her little brother still harbors his X-rated teen-aged crush on her, and hopes she might be interested in renewing old acquaintances. Oh, my...
Josh has been crazy about Haley since he was just a kid. But he isn’t a kid anymore. He’s come back home for one thing only—for a shot at the girl he'd fallen for when he was too damn young to do much about it. His big sis has told him that Haley's husband isn't exactly taking care of his wife's needs...and he is more than ready and completely willing to step up to the plate when the stupid jerk strikes out.
But Haley has been laboring under a major misconception about the man she married right out of high school...and they both have one hell of a lot to learn. An amazing one-night stand with beautiful, delicious Josh Barnes opens Haley's eyes to what a man needs...and what sheneeds in bed. The "kid" takes her for a hot, delicious ride beyond her wildest dreams, and opens her mind and heart to what she has always thought was out of her reach.
The rules have been changed...and now she has two hot men who are willing to give her anything...anything...she desires.

Chelsea's morning after on Book Boyfriend Cafe #HotForFriday
');
Chelsea didn't have the best morning after.
"Chels. Wake up. Hi. You awake?" She yawned. "With me here or do I have to do the whole who's-the-president thing?" Hunter chuckled.She sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. "You have clothes on.""I have to go. There's a big forest fire at home. Lightning strike started it. It's burning in three different locations.""How'd you find out?""A crew's getting ready at the main house. I went for a run and stopped in for a coffee. They are leaving in..." Hunter looked at his watch. "Fifteen minutes. I'm going with them. It's the fastest way to get me back. I marked home in the GPS. It's really easy, just follow..."An idea filtered into her mind. "You're leaving?""Yea. I have to go back and help. The forest is pretty dry this time of year and this could really get out of control. It rained here, but not back at home. They're going to need every available body.""But what do you know about fighting fires?""I grew up in a conservation park. Think about it. I have to go.""But what if I don't want you to?"Hunter stuffed his clothes into his duffel bag. "I know this sucks. I hadn't planned on abandoning you, this is important."She crossed her arms and leaned back on the head board. "And I'm not.""Quit being childish. You know you mean everything to me, but this can't be postponed. I can't call up and say I'm busy and can they hold off the fire 'til next week." He dropped his bag and sat next to her. "I'm really sorry. But you have to understand.""If you were really sorry you wouldn't leave. How am I supposed to get home?""I said I left directions. It's pretty straightforward. I also left Mom's phone number." As he leaned over to kiss her, Chelsea pulled away. Hunter blinked. "I don't know what your problem is, but I have to go. You have two choices, follow those directions to my parent's place or get on a plane and go home. Your choice." He picked up his duffel bag and walked out.
