A Night Of Grieving
Im sitting upstairs in my new office space, quiet piano music and rain sounds playing to block out the TV below and to help my son block out the sounds of his mind, because hes having trouble getting to sleep lately (arent we all? I slept through the night last night and it felt like a miracle).
Its a strange, liminal kind of space. Im not in a room, but Im in the house. (My office space is the upstairs landing, with my back to the linen press and my front to the stairs and every other side...

Made-It… Tuesday?
Yeah, its been one of those weeks, and its only Tuesday night >.< Never mind. Next week is shaping up to be much, much less frenetic, and then there are two weeks of school holidays. Phew.
But! We did make things last week!
In particular, we made something ridiculous like 20 or 30L of grape juice. (5 or 6 gallons, for my USian friends.)

Alive
Schools essentially closed to all but necessary students on Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon my school announced that staff could (and should) work from home unless rostered on for supervision. So today was my first day trying to sort out what this all-four-of-us-at-home-all-day thing looks like.
My husband has a desk downstairs in the main living/kitchen area. Theres a little one he built out of pallet wood a while back upstairs in the landing, but its been covered in boxes of crap to sort out...

I started publishing my work seriously in 2017. Now, in 2020, I have my 19th title up for preorder, and one of my novels won the state prize for best...

If youre a writer, or an aspiring writer out there, I highly recommend this great new course.
(Actually I highly recommend a lot of Deans courses there on Teachable, but this is the only free one

Made-It Monday: BOOK STICKERS!
Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something Ive made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something youve made in the last week (ish; lets say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things weve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
Mostly line edits, this week, tbh. So many line edits. Change Of...
