Updatery Updateness

The Kickstarter, ermagersh. I just cannot BELIEVE how well it is going. Thank you so much to all of you who have checked it out over the last couple of weeks

In other news, writing has been slow (as expected) since Ive returned to in-person work. That is gradually settling back into a rhythm though, so hopefully I can get back to regular writing this week. The plan is to work on Define Good, a novella from the point of view of a couple of key minor characters from How Not To Acquire A Castle...

Wow, What A Campaign!

The Kickstarter for A Fox Of Storms And Starlight is drawing to a close: 43 hours to go as of writing this. Its doing better than I could ever have imagined I was just really crossing my fingers for ten people signing up for Fan Kits so I could afford to produce a few of those

Fail To Success: A Timely Repost

I was trawling my archives the other day (because occasionally I check my stats for website views, and invariably someone has found a random article in the archives to read and Ive no memory of what it is, so I click through to remind myself) and found the post below. I think, in this day and age where we are so tied to the notion of productivity as worth, in the current climate where productivity is so damn hard to come by some days, that this is worth the reread.

I hope you enjoy. And...

Go to https://wmg-publishing-workshops-and-lectures.teachable.com and use the code SummerLearning2020. Note that you can only add one item to your cart at a time, but that you can use the coupon code as often as...

The Most Beautiful Book Boxes

Im so, so excited. Last night, I got the first glimpse of the Inkprint Press Fan Kit boxes, and oh. my. goodness. They are SO beautiful.

If just three more people sign up for these boxes, then the exclusive black hardcovers of A Fox Of Storms And Starlight that come in them will have dust jackets! (And the dust jackets wont be available outside of the Kickstarter, theyre surprisingly expensive.)

In other news, I survived all my zoom classes today my kids only interrupted five times, ha...

Okay, so, not going to make the 10 stories in 20 days. Thats okay. I ended up taking like 6 of the 20 days off writing, so thats hardly surprising, really

Made-it Monday: IT’S MY FAAACE!!!

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something Ive made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something youve made in the last week (ish; lets say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things weve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

Totally cheating today and posting the video from the Kickstarter...

Friday Video: Laugh Out Loud

So, Spouse & I sat down to watch a movie last night and just zone out a bit. I needed something light-hearted and non-emotional, so when the second Johnny English movie popped up, I was like, SURE, GO WITH THAT.

It was exactly as youd expect, which is to say exactly what I needed.

This scene in particular had me laughing so hard I cried. Content mild action-movie violence.

Enjoy.

What have you found this week thats helping you stay sane?
