Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

I promised crayon drawings today, but instead you get books,...

Coming March 17: Trust Issues

Years ago, when I was on maternity leave before I had my daughter, I wrote half a book. It was fun. It was a mess, and I skipped from the first third of the book straight to the last third, as I was wont to do in those days, but it was a FUN mess.

The book was called Secret Breaker, and it’s about Becca, who has the ability to sense when people are lying, and to passively glean/hear anything that they are actively trying to keep secret at that moment in time. The story has shapeshifters and...

A Fox Of Storms And Starlight Available For Preorder

Yay!!!! THE FOX BOOK IS DONE!!!!!!!!

Yes, all the exclamation marks are warranted, TRUST ME.

Six years ago, Mina saved a fox in the bush. As thunder growled and lightning flashed, she thought she saw… something.

Now, as graduation draws near and Mina plots her escape from backcountry Jilamatang to big-city Sydney, the town trembles. Two children, stolen from near their school. An elderly woman, missing. Mina wants to ignore it all, to focus on leaving her mother’s depression behind for...

Colour Theory Like Whoa

I’ve been kind of binge watching art videos this last week, I’ll be honest. I mentioned on Monday that I’ve really been missing making physical art in the last year or two. I used to draw A LOT in high school (in years 11 and 12, I carried a sketch book around with my notebook to all my classes – you can see a couple of my old things here on my very old, rarely used DeviantArt account!) and the urge to learn digital painting has been building and building the last few years, not least because...
