No Rest For The Weary

It is no coincidence that my views on running are repeatedly manifested in the collections of my running brand Willpower. Just as I share with you here in a brutally honest way what running does to me, I also want Willpower to speak the same blunt language.

The latest design from Willpower is called "No Rest For The Weary" and is available as an exclusive pre-order until Saturday, July 6th.

The promotional text for this collection goes like this:

My Western States 2024 Moments

What a race!

I can hardly believe what I witnessed last weekend. Western States has delivered.

I'll leave the detailed race reports about who won when, how fast, against whom and why to the lovely people at irunfar.com (English) and alles-laufbar.de (German). Yes, the elite race was undoubtedly as exciting as it rarely is, but for me, it is just one of many facets that make the Western States 100 so special.

(SPRACHNACHRICHT #79)

What is this "passion" thing actually?

Running is my great passion. That much is certain. After music and writing, nothing in my life has inspired and fulfilled me like running. But what exactly is it that makes me so passionate about running? Since I can't indulge in my great love right now, it's a good time to reflect on it more closely.

Your Slow is My Fast

In my articles, I often give pace and distance details to describe my running experiences. I always have a slight feeling of uneasiness in my stomach when I do so. I'm afraid it might trigger unpleasant feelings in readers. What do I mean by that?

Compare and Contrast

One of the most positive aspects of running is its simplicity. This applies not only to the act of running itself, but also to its measurability. The dimensions of time and distance are the same for everyone and make us all equal. A...
