What to Wear...

I'm still trying to figure out what to wear for the TV interview and discovered: I like prints. Which is a no-no for the camera. LOL

Now, if he could go in my place, no one would even notice what he had to say, you think?

Have a super wonderful Happy Hump Day!

I'm off to figure out clothes some more. *sigh*

A Peacock or Not?

Okay, so yesterday I talked about peacocks and I think my readers were looking more for someone like this! :)

So here he is!

Off to write before I've got to run to work. I remember my dad talking about feeling like he was on one of those hamster spinning wheels. I feel like that this morning.

Oh, and the story above? Someone called his she-wolf something unforgiveable. So he's ready to take him on.

Or, someone called him a peacock and he's going to show him what this peacock's got! :)

Your version?

Will the Real Peacock Please Stand Up?

I had a white standard poodle and black one also, but it was hard enough keeping the white one white. I can't imagine beside keeping her trimmed myself, giving her a sculpted trim like this and and a dye job too! But isn't she adorable? Cearnach mentions something about poodles and trim jobs in A Highland Wolf Wedding...

Everyone's getting in the act. From babies to...

toddlers to...

women.

From hats to...

makeup to...

 tattoos!

And then there are the social parties with a peacock theme---

and peacock treats...

cupcakes!

And cookies, but who could eat them! They're works of peacock art!

A peacock and Sam Beam!

And here we have the peacock!

Have a glorious Monday!!

Glorious Earth Day

I love having greenery that makes me feel as though I'm in a jungle protecting me from the hot rays of the sun in the Texas heat. I think of planting trees or plants for earth day, but there's so much more to it than that!

Recycling! Clean out your closets and cabinets and storage spaces and give these things to charities rather than throwing good stuff away! If you have books that you don't want anymore, think of donating them to your local library. I've brought in new clothes I've never worn and traded with a couple of co-workers...one gave me a Scottish wool sweater that I cherish, but it was too scratchy for her. And someone had given it to her!

So recycle among your family, and I've done a lot of that too, or friends also!
Conserve water and electricity. I had another wonderful $91 electric bill. I'm all electric, so getting that low of a bill for any month is a miracle. But I've got several appliances on power strips and turn them off when I'm not using them. This includes the TV and VCR, the microwave oven and the convection oven. They're all vampires when it comes to sucking in electricity even when not in use. The telephone charger for your cell phone is another. Unplug it when you're not using it. :)

Because of the water restrictions we have here, I always empty water filled glasses that I don't drink during the day into plants either outside or in. I had to soak some dishes that didn't get clean in the dishwasher, so the water in the bowls will go outside also after it's done its job. I don't run the water while I'm brushing my teeth. I turn it back on when I'm ready to rinse. Do you realize how much water runs down the sink while you're not using it?

Oh, and I don't use tons of water cups either. One tea cup for the day. One water glass for the day...oftentimes used for several days. Why use tons of glasses when I need only one?

I love how green everything is in the spring, mainly because we've had so much rain lately. You can see the corn growing beyond the yard and it will be a jungle landscape soon. I love it, until it turns to paper and is a fire hazard!

Enjoy a day outside, enjoying the life all around us, the green earth, the trees, the birds twittering about, enjoy our earth. It's the only one we've got! :)

Happy Earth Day! What do you do to help conserve or are you planting anything this year?

I'm off to write a book! :)

The Wolf--Fighting for the Underdog...Kitten!

They have changed the format of blogger...again, so trying to figure out this new way of doing things. I thought my blogger was broken this morning. LOL

But here you can see that wolves can be very protective of the underdog and...underkitten.

In this case, the kitten's best friend is--the wolf!

This next picture reminds me of the kitten that's looking in the mirror and seeing a lion.

Well, this cat has the heart of a wolf!

And just in case anyone needs a reminder, a Highland wolf is definitely the protector of anyone who needs his protection!

A Howl for a Highlander is up for preorders!

Have a super great Saturday! I have a lunch date and then a date with another friend to go to the movies. Girls' day out.

Off to work on my word count so I won't feel too guilty!!! Have any plans for the weekend?

Tomorrow is Earth Day. I hope to get something to plant for tomorrow. I used to plant trees every year. Dozens of them. But we have such a horrible problem with droughts here in the summer and with working all the time, and with water restrictions, it's hard to keep new plants alive. But I'm going to find something to plant. Maybe more ground cover to choke out weeds...

Are you going to be doing anything for Earth Day?

Reading is Sexy

Yeah. :) He's reading Heart of the Wolf, but frowning when they are in a real pickle of a mess.

He's pretending to read an Army manual, but hidden inside is A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing, just to see how Finn worked at it to get the girl.

Cpt Picard...yep, not only is he reading Heart of the Highland Wolf, behind the facade of another book, he's wearing pink...he's too cool. I wonder if this was from a holograph world in Star Trek! Even the sexiest of men, who have galaxies to conquer, take a break to read!

Okay, no book. He's lost the copy of Seduced by the Wolf and he's not happy about it. That's the problem with not having a book to read when you want to read it. Makes you really grumpy.

But even so, he's darned sexy!

Wouldn't you love to curl up with one of these guys, all of these guys, and share a book or two with them?

Shewolf before Shifting!

Thanks to Cindi for sending me a tweet about this photo. It's lovely. :) I'm not sure if she's getting ready to shift but enjoying her male wolf's company first as she remains human, or if she's just changed and he hasn't yet. :)

What do you think?

It's happy Hump Day!!! I'm running really late. What is new, eh????

Have a great day!

A Howl for a Highlander

Yum!!

What do you all think? Duncan MacNeill is the dark warrior of the Heart of the Highland Wolf pack, but when he meets up with a gray she-wolf, suddenly, playing in paradise seems like not such a bad idea!

Love the cover! Would you want to cheer Duncan up in the Grand Cayman Islands?

Daring Trio of Kilt Teasters

Notice the most daring, the higher the kilt...the least daring, the kilt is sill around his knees!

Does that mean the first is more alpha?

Or that they just planned it that way... :)

Okay, so I didn't get enough. Too much of a tease. Here's the real thing!

I love the scenery in this next picture as much as the man who's wearing the kilt. But take a look at that sporran, would you? Talk about splashy and big and it makes me wonder why he has to have such a big one! :)

Enjoy the kilted hunks and have a happy Sunday!!!

I'm at Stories of Romance today also!
