One Good Thing
My boyish figure and single chin have found a new enemy in the form of strawberry pie. I had never even heard of strawberry pie until my sister Amy mentioned that she was making it this weekend. Lord, that's some good pie! I am a fan of pie. Pies of all kinds. They are very near muffins and brownies in the realm of perfect foods. And I love strawberries. So, why have I never thought of the two combining forces in one supremely awesome entity of bad-assiness? Why, I ask you? Let me just say, strawberry pie is a delicious treat and if you don't have some you are missing out. So...good... Gross. I just drooled on the keyboard.

One Good Thing
My novel Woke Up in a Strange Place was marked as a "Must Read" on GoodReads. I love that! I'm not very good at promo. I accept this about myself, and I do try harder. Yet I've always liked the idea of a book gaining fans by word-of-mouth. The only problem with that is my patience and its lack of existence.
Anyway, I can hope and dream that word-of-mouth is what is happening with my book and/or books.

Life-affirming, poignant, insightful, and at times hilarious, this story took me in from the very first page and wouldn't let go until the last secret was revealed. - Reviews By Jessewave

I found out this morning that the docmentary "Stonewall Uprising" is going to be on "American Experience" on PBS April 18. I've been looking forward to seeing this.

A Question For The Ages
Every time I see this painting by Caspar David Friedrich I see the representation of life. Notice the boats disappearing on the horizon. I notice the figures of the children seated by the sea and farther away than the older person walking toward them. It's a very poignant statement. And I have to ask myself:
Is that Maggie Smith?
