One Good Thing

Finished the final draft of my horror novel, "The Rascal," today. Now to see if it raises goosebumps. I sent it to my agent, Keith, for a read. Keith has written quite a bit of horror in his life. He's written for filmmaker Dario Argento, as well as a few popular TV shows, including Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The X-Files. If it passes the Keith test, we'll send it out to a publisher I've had my eye on for a while. Until then, I shall celebrate its completion with a cookie.

Saw this at Slick It Up. I love the arm guards. I'd feel all fancy and sexy!

A favorite Moby song and time capsule of a video.

One Good Thing

Early spring showers. Sitting on the porch. The trees are still bare and the wind is rattling them something fierce. We're under a tornado watch until 7pm. The world has that late fall look to it. Melancholy, but with the knowledge of newness in the air. The rain starts falling harder. The wind blows the rain in on the porch. On me as I sit in the rocking chair. I smile as I close my eyes and feel the cool mist on my arms and face. It almost tickles. That's a good thing.

"Dolce Far Niente"

I love this scene from "Eat Pray Love." It's so true. My inner Mediterranean was skipping with glee when he heard it.
