One Good Thing
I was bumbling hither and tither on the interweb today, checking in on some sites I hadn't visited in a while, and came across Pubmatch. This is a site which claims to match authors, agents, and publishers up with one another. We'll see. Match me up with Penguin and I'll give them a glowing review.
But anyway, I found that another member of the site is Hydra Productions, a small press located right here in Madison, Indiana. I had no idea there was a small press here. It's definitely pretty new and looks to be mainstream sci/fi, etc. I sent them a note on Facebook. I don't think any of my work would be a fit for them, but we build bridges where we can, right?

Rambles & Jam
I'm experiencing a bit of a strawberry jam in my writing, so I'm just going to ramble for a bit. Maybe I'll come across something here that will inspire.
Heard yesterday that Robert Pattinson is very likely to star as Jeff Buckley in a new biopic. This made my jaw drop. I have nothing against Pattinson, but to think of him as Jeff Buckley is...well, odd. Who knows. Maybe he'll pull it off. I was horrified when I heard John Travolta was going to be Edna Turnblatt and that turned out to be his best performance. But then, I'm not a big Travolta fan. Never have been.
Speaking of casting, I'm still waiting for Hollywood to cast Joseph Gorden-Levitt as Nick Drake, Paul Rudd as silent film gay William Haines, and James Franco in a new version of Jean Genet's QUERELLE. I wonder who'd they get to play Haines' best pal, Joan Crawford, if they made a bio about him. I was also thinking QUERELLE might better be made as an adult animated film. The book has always reminded me of Tom of Finland. Think of some animator with the skill of the guys at Disney getting their hands on that! Woof!
Listening to Mary Beth Maziarz. I really enjoy her. Like most, I discovered her music through DAWSON'S CREEK. I wish she'd put out something new.
I don't know if I'll be putting up that new blog as Logan Brandish tomorrow. So many things going on. And I haven't really gotten into a flow about my new batch of characters yet. Gotta know 'em before you can write about them, you know.
Birthday is coming up. I think I'll get myself something from Slick It Up or Rufskin. I might not be able to wear it out around here (conservative Hoosier townage), but I'll wear it when I'm at home. It'll make me feel all sexaaay.
Should I grow a beard? Maybe I should grow a beard. I had one when I was in the hospital. My sisters said they liked it on me. I think I looked like Jesus.
My friend Volkan comes back from Turkey next week. Woot! I need to look into plane tickets so I can go visit him this summer. He told me if I ever dyed my hair blond again he's bitch slap me. I like it rough. I'm gonna head to the beauty shop before I go see him.
Oh, well. This hasn't really helped. Guess I'll just go back to staring at the computer screen. I suck at this blogging thing. I'm just realizing that and I've been at it for three years.
Later.

'The Help' Trailer
I'm really looking forward to seeing this, despite the bland trailer. The book was wonderful. Aside from that, two words: VIOLA.DAVIS.
