One Good Thing

My birthday schedule:

Woke up. Stared at the ceiling. Got up. Listened to music as I read over emails and scoured the net for anything of interest. Pete Yorn started my music off. Tried to squash the urge to workout. I feel like I've been over training lately. I want to take at least five days off. Had some breakfast. Tried some TV. Nothing on. Messaged back and forth with Volkan. The poor sexy darling is ill. Had lunch. Played some Wii. Donated to the Invisible Children fund. Felt good about that. I'm good people. Heard some sad news about someone I kinda sorta knew. Now craving chocolate. Deciding next year that I will not have a workout break and a No Writing Week at the same time. Makes for a very boring time.

A Straight Reader Reviews 'Woke Up'

A few weeks back I sent out a call to see if there were any straight readers out there of the male persuasion who would read and review my book Woke Up in a Strange Place . I got two replies. Here is the first from a very kind reader named Gerald. He posted it on Amazon as well:

I great story of a man's life: told through his journey in the afterlife. It is a love story, about the kind of love everyone hopes to find. In reading this I kept thinking about books I have read by Emma Bull & Neil Gaiman. It stretches your imagination and ask you to believe in wonderful and strange beings, surroundings and people. A refreshing look at life, death, and rebirth. A book that shows we do not move through life without touching the lives of others and being touched by those we pass.

One Good Thing

My sister Amy took me out for sushi today as an early birthday present. We've never had sushi in this town as long as I've known it, and now, in the span of a couple of months, there are two of them. Yummy stuff. I don't make it a habit of eating like this everyday, or even more than once a week, but for my birthday I make an exception.
