One Good Thing
Cleaning Day. I'm on a mega cleaning kick today. Maybe it's the spring in the air. I went through my toiletries and wardrobe and got rid of a bunch of stuff. I also learned a couple of things. ONE: I SUCK at folding shirts. SUCK at it! They're all wrinkled. I need to start hanging all my shirts whenever I get a big enough closet. I once had a two bedroom apartment and one of the bedrooms had TWO walk-ins. It was marvelous! My brother even stored some of his clothing there. The second thing I learned about myself today: I love lotion. I had no idea I had SO many bottles of face lotion and cleanser. It's ridiculous. I have enough to last me till the end of forever. I don't even remember buying some of these. Next up, the book shelf. Oy!

One Good Thing
I've been so lazy today. Haven't really done a thing but watch BIO. They're showing a ghosty show marathon. I admit that ghost reality programs are a guilty pleasure. Some of them are pretty silly, some would be creepy if it weren't for the hot but annoying host, and some are genuinely eerie. I was talking about ghosties one night a couple of years ago with my sister. We were in the living room, and I was sitting in a rocking chair beneath an old picture. We were talking about our dad and how my niece (her daughter) said she talked to him all the time. Dad's been dead for over 15 years. In the middle of this convo, the picture leaped - I mean, leaped -over my head and onto the floor right in front of me. Weird. Anyway, back to BIO...

Vintage t-shirts. I love them. But they have to be made from a specific blend of fabrics. That polyester/cotton blend that makes them so soft and comfy. Actually, I don't know if it's the blend that makes a tee feel that way. I'm not a textile worker. A textilian, if you will. I'm just a man. A man standing in front of a mirror asking it to love him. There are tons upon oodles of vintage tee stores out there, both on-line and otherwise. Not all the quality is the same, though. I have a weightlifting Snoopy tee that I adore. It's soft and fits just right. On the other hand, I have a M*A*S*H tee that fits fine, but the material is harsh. No good, Robin Hood. I still wear it, but not as much. Vintage tees are too expensive these days to buy and never wear. And that's another thing: What is up with old t-shirts being so damned expensive? If the price goes above 30 bucks, forget about it! I got a family of house mice to feed. All the same, vintage tees: real good stuff!

Listened to this song and had to watch the video again. A lot of people didn't care for this video, but I love it! Madonna, "Nothing Really Matters", off her masterpiece "Ray of Light."
