One Good Thing

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! ... Wait. It isn't Thanksgiving, is it? No...

It's just Cheat Day - Arvin Style!

Seriously. Today was RE-DONK-U-LUSS. There were chocolate muffins, homemade biscuits & gravy, sausages, eggs, jams, cheesecake - And it's not over yet. I don't eat like this every Sunday...just every OTHER Sunday. How am I not a house?

The truth is, though, I'm pretty strict with my food intake during the week so cheating this sweetly on Sunday is a nice reward. And it gives me the need...

My Calendar of Debauchery & Fasting

TWO WEEKS in Florida in September, or, as the French say, Septembre

then FOUR WEEKS to work all that food and good times off and fit into my sexy pants for a wedding in Octobre

then TWO or THREE weeks for a possible publishing party in New York (money and time allowing)

The major difficulty, I fear, is the time between Florida and the wedding. I'll need to improvise my workouts in Florida without a gym, and I'll really need to watch myself in the eats, because there are some serious ass pants I ...

One Good Thing

In the spring and summer months around here there are always these cute little lizards that come up from the flowers, under which I suppose they live, and sun themselves on the porch. They're interesting to watch. Very quick, and, when you don't move, you can see them sit there for the longest time, seemingly wagging their brilliantly colored tails (mostly blue or violet) like puppy dogs. Today, the tiniest one I've ever seen came up on the porch. An itty bitty thing. It was all curious, runn...

One Good Thing

This will be the strangest post all year. If you are my sister (who are the only ones in my immediate family who read my blog), LEAVE NOW!

You know those days when you're bored and the boredom leads to horniness and all you have is the internet? (Face it. We're a nation of intersexuals.) Those days are rough.

But for me, on this particular horny day, that was a good thing, for I have a feeling if I had acted on my lust today, if Pete Kuzak or Francois Sagat or Caesar or any of the other many u...

Cabaret Life: Life of Brian

A perfect way to end this feature. I thought these last four weeks have been fun, aside from the fact that Youtube didn't allow me to post two of my favorites ("V For Vendetta", "Blazing Saddles"). This is the ending from my personal favorite Monty Python film. I don't think religion has ever been called out better.
