Minha culpa. Leitores por favor voltem)
- Próximos posts: Mais sobre o novo livro; novidades e novos conteúdos no site e no Blog; e... umas surpresas...
Até lá!

"The Darkest Kiss" (Lords of the Underworld, #2) by Gena Showalter
The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Oh, I loved this book!
I should've write my review right after finished reading because I'm certain that would be much more easy to say how much I enjoy it.
But... let's see what I loved the most...
Definitely Anya!
Much of the times, my opinion on the female character is not the best because (I don't know why) they have a way to get in to my nerves, but Anya was so funny, I laugh with her dialogues so many times that I don't remember that ever happen to me with a female character.
I loved Lucien as well. Tormented.
Their love story is one of those "Beauty and the Beast" that I can never resist!
The end was a little bit predictable but... nothing is perfect!

"The Darkest Pleasure" (Lords of the Underworld, #3) by Gena Showalter
The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
After read "The Darkest Kiss" (the #2 on the series) and loved it so much this book was such a disappointment!
I really had a sympathy for Reyes and was curious about how his story with Danika will be but... that was not enough to make me enjoy this book.
I hated Danika! She was so annoying!!!!
"My family", "My family", "My family",
"My mother", "My mother", "My mother",
"If you hurt the I'll kill you", "If you hurt the I'll kill you"... For the love of god!!! They are immortal warriors that contain demons inside their body! How can a stupid human girl hurt them, much more even kill them!? Oh, I remember! She had self-defence lessons!!!
Stupid woman!!!
I really like the main plot on this series and I don't want to give up. After this book, I was very tempted to do it.
So, I'll just give a break to forget about the torturous reading experience of this book.

"The Viscount Who Loved Me" by Julia Quinn
The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I liked "The Duke And I" (Bridgertons, #1), so as usual I picked the #2, "The Viscount Who Loved Me".
In the end, I was not certain about the number of stars to give to this book.
I'll explain.
Muck like the #1, I liked the story and the characters.
But.
To many similarities with the first book! And they where so many and in so important moments of the story that I ask myself if Julia Quinn think her readers have a so short memory.
I became disappointed! As a reader and as a writer, I didn't like it.
So I decided for 2 stars "It was ok".
If I didn't know the #1 book, this would have 4 stars, because I like the story as much, but... I read the #1, and lack of imagination in a writer is fatal in my opinion.
It made me remember of Carlos Ruiz Zafón and the similarities between "The Shadow of the Wind" and "The Angel's Game".

"The Duke And I" by Julia Quinn
The Duke And I by Julia Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
About a year ago I was obsessed with historical romances. Today I'm in Paranormal Romances and love stories.
So, it was good to find a nice combination of both in Julia Quinn novels.
"The Duke And I" is the #1 on "Bridgertons series" that tell us the stories of a family of 8 brothers and sisters in England middle XIX century, trying to find love in a conservative society.
This first book is about Daphney, the older Bridgerton girl, and Simon, a Duke recently returned to London, and best friend of her older brother.
Their story start with a pretend engagement that obviously turns to be more real than they expect.
I liked the characters and all the scenarios around them, that made the reading very enjoying.
Two points I like to comment :
- the nice writing in the beginning of each chapter by "Lady Whistledown's Society Papers" was a really nice touch and puts a mysterious character that nobody knows who it is, but can't ignore.
- "Marriage is not the end". I loved the fact that the story don't end with the marriage of Daphney and Simon, that happens somewhere in the middle of the book and many things still happened after that.
It was a nice book.
I'll definitely continuing to read the "Bridgertons series"

"No Rest for the Wicked" (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole
No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This series is getting better and better!
I loved the way this story turned to be as adventurous as sexy.
The girl was not one of my favourites but it was ok. On the other hand, Sebastian was with no doubt my kind of hero! I love a gentleman, and if he is also tormented, is even better ;)
For those who like J. R. Ward or Karen Mooning... this author will certainly give you some good hours of reading.

"The Darkest Night "(Lords of the Underworld, #1)by Gena Showalter
The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Continuing my quest for new authors and series... this time: Gena showalter with "Lords of the Underworld".
I really liked the general idea in the series and the way the characters where created. After all, I can't resist a tortured hero ;)
For those who don't know this series, in few words, this is about a group of warriors that in a (obvious) bad decision decide to kill Pandora and stel the famous Box, releasing the tormented...

"Night Play" by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
His nothing new, I love Sherrilyn Kenyon books! And I also loved to read "Night Play".
This story of Vane and Bride was one of the most lovely and truest in all DH series.
Thought is a fantasy book, the relation between this two characters and the way their feelings for each other grow page by page is sweet and believable.
The action / fights where a little bit missing this time, but largely compensate with funny dialogues, especially when...

"Pleasure Unbound" (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione
Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
In this last days I'm picking new authors to read... this time was Larissa Ione.
I confess that I became curious about this series because of the high rate in Goodreads, and I was expecting a little bit much than what I found.
Right in the beginning of the story it all happens to fast!
In the first dialogues almost every characters are in it, lots of information that weren't need in that moment and it should be given in other further...

"A Hunger Like No Other" by Kresley Cole
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was my first book by Kresley Cole, and thought it didn't amazed me, I really enjoyed the reading.
The story had much more flaws than should be expected, things that didn't make sense and were clearly put without many concern in a further explanation... but character were ok, enough torment Vs self confident. Things were always "moving" what give the story a good rhythm and made this book a page turner.
I recommend to all S...
