"Fantasy Lover" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #1)Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I'm a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon books. I've lost the count to the number of books I have from her, and it seemed natural the I read the first one.

Though Fantasy Lover is not a novel from "Dark-Hunters" series, the story and the characters follow the "Greek mythology" style that we use to find in Kenyon novels and that kept me reading her work.

This book is what I call a " traditional love story", very heart felt and moving at some...

"The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas

The Count of Monte Cristo The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a long, long... long reading!
For the most distracted, I start reading this book in March... yes March, there's no mistake.

I'm one of those readers who like long stories and are not get intimidated by the number in the last page, but this one (I confess) put my faith on the line.

The story of Edmond Dantes was not new for me, as the rest of of you I saw the movie (my favorite is with the one with James Caviezel), but this...

"Pretties (Uglies, #2)" by Scott Westerfeld

Pretties (Uglies, #2)Pretties by Scott Westerfeld
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I loved "Uglies" when I read it some days ago, but unfortunately, "Pretties" was not a match.

Tally is now a Prettie and I still genuinely like her, as well as all the new characters like Zane. What made me low was the annoying slow motion in the story line.

I think Westerfeld just tried to hard to made it all seemed exciting to make the characters "bubbly" as was necessary for the plot, and things just didn't work out as well as it should.

"Uglies (Uglies, #1)" by Scott Westerfeld

Uglies (Uglies, #1)Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was my first by Scott Westerfeld... and what a start!

The story is great!

A new vision of the future, were everyone is turned extremely beautiful at the age of sixteen, is the scenario for Tally adventure.

The plot is very interesting and catch our eyes since the first page.

All the characters are amazingly realistic for a YA novel and not at all the usually types.

I'll definitely read the next number "Pretties (Uglies, #2)" that's...

A escrever, a escrever...

Vejamos….

O que não mudou:

- O titulo do livro. Continua a ser "7...

"Night Pleasures" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #2)Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the #2 of the "Dark-Hunter" series and I'm finally getting to the firsts numbers on this series.

I've started with #17, some months ago and since them I'm always going forwards and backwards and trying to get to the beginning.

I'm getting used to the characters in the main plot and it's becoming more and more interesting to follow the series, though It was a little difficult to get the books I wanted because not all of them...

"Unleash the Night (Dark-Hunter, #9)" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Unleash the Night (Dark-Hunter, #9) Unleash the Night (Dark-Hunter, #9) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another good story! What else can I say that I hadn't said yet?

I love this series. Love Sherrilyn Kenyon writing.

By this time I already assumed to myself that in time I'll buy all books in this series... just can't help it!

As for this book in particularly, the characters were great, Wren was the tormented kind of guy that I love and Marguerite was well humoured, together they made another well told story.

Great...

"Wings of the Dove" by Henry James

Wings of the Dove (Wordsworth Classics)Wings of the Dove by Henry James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jane Austen is my favourite writer of all times, and for me, Henry James is the male version of her.

Love them both!

"Wings of the Dove" is such a great story!!!!

Love, money, conspiracy, friendship, idealism, hope, life and dead... name it,and this book has it.

I simple can't believe that is possible for someone to read this story and don't like it.

That's how good it is!

"Goddess of the Sea (Goddess Summoning, #1)" by P.C. Cast

Goddess of the Sea (Goddess Summoning, #1)Goddess of the Sea by P.C. Cast

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a lovely story. :)

Although it's the #1 on the Goddess Summoning series, is the third book I read.

Not the best one in my opinion, because I really loved "Goddess of Spring" but he gets the second place no doubt!

Unfortunately P. C. Cast didn't explore more of the life in the ocean has I really wish she had done. The story could be so much magic than what it was...

Never the less, it was a nice book, perfect to add to the...
