"Beyond the Highland Mist" by Karen Marie Moning

Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1)Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After I put down "Darkfever" with 2 stars, I felt that I had to give another chance to Karen Marie Moning.

"Beyond the Highland Mist" was my choice to start again with the author and I must say it was a good choice!

In the beginning I had some difficulties with words that are not common used in now days, but page after page I got used to them and it turns to be a plus in this book.

The characters were not a turn head but...

"Darkfever" by Karen Marie Moning

Darkfever (Fever, #1)Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I cant explain why, but I have some king of prejudice against book written in the first person... the fact is that I don't like to have to have always the same voice from the beginning to end.

So, since the first page I new that this book will not have 5 stars.

The story went well but the writing... not at all!
The time use in the writing was a mix of past and present that made me dizzy. One point she was "telling a story" another she was...

"Seize the Night" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Seize the Night (Dark-Hunter, #6)Seize the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was so anxious top read this book that it turns against me.
Valerius was a Dark Hunter that always touch my heart since "Devil may Cry" when Zarek dreamed about is childhood and the only brother that ever look him like a person and not a slave.

I can say that Valerius didn't disappoint me, he was everything that I was expecting and much more, and really is my favourite DH till today. I loved his polite manners, the fine way he...

"Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1)Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I finished this book with an odd sensation... I liked the story and the characters but something was missing (I honestly don't know what!)

At the beginning everything was fine, a really love Sam and I don't remember finding more "good boy" than him in other book; the story was not very original, nothing new that we haven't already read or saw before, though enough to keep my eyes on the story that (unfortunately) in many points was slow and...

"Kiss of the Night" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Kiss of the Night (Dark-Hunter, #4)Kiss of the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Continuing my Sherrilyn Kenyon maraton...

This one was so good!
Who can resist to a impossible love between enemies!? I cant!

The story is very much what is presented in the book description and Kenyon write it as well as always!

Recommend it to all!!!!

"Goddess of Love" by P.C. Cast

Goddess of Love (Goddess Summoning Series #4)Goddess of Love by P.C. Cast
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

This series is my favorite from P. C. Cast but this "Goddess of Love" was such a deception!

The book was so poor that I'm really here trying to know what to say about it and nothing seems to pop up...

I know that this is just a story and all but... what was P. C. Cast thinking to put the main character farting in a restaurant (yes "fart" is not a typing error) and expect us to believe that Vulcan (God of Fire) sees it and likes the girl!!!!
For...

"Acheron" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Acheron (Dark-Hunter, #15)Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finally I get to read Acheron story!

After so many books about the Dark-Hunters where their leader Acheron plays an important roll on the happy ending, we get to know all the stories and mysteries behind this incredible character.

The book is split in two parts.
The first tells us the "human" years of Acheron and all the suffering, rejection and tormented days, that make us cry in disbelieved of so much cruelty.
The second part is a story much...

"Night Embrace" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Night Embrace (Dark-Hunter, #2)Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Now I'm definitely getting in to the right reading order of this series.

Thought, I have to disagree with the number given to this book... in my opinion this one should be the first number of the Dark-Hunter series because in it, are presented to us almost every characters that would lead the stories in all the following books.

As for this story.
It was not one of my favorites I must confess
Everything just happened to fast for Talon &amp...

"The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1)The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have no idea what to expect from this book, and now that I'm finish, I'm glad I hadn't.

The story was very original, remember some how Scott Westerfeld in the fast rhythm of the action and humanity of the characters.

In the last page things where left open and clearly inviting for the second book.
I say "yes" to the invitation, and soon I hope to start "Catching Fire"

"Beastly" by Alex Flinn

BeastlyBeastly by Alex Flinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a good surprised!

I should say that I was with some good expectation about this book, but this contemporary retelling of the classic "Beauty and the Best" was much more! Much more funnier and lovely...

All the characters where familiar and new at the same time, and maybe because of that it was so easy to get in the story, always with the curiosity to now how they would turn to be in the contemporary NYC.

The chat group of "cursed humans" was...
