GET JESUS INTO THAT SITUATION
When you serve others, you look like Me. When you serve those who despise you, you act like Me. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
GET JESUS INTO THAT SITUATIONHave you ever heard me say, “Serving is power because serving is demonstrating Jesus”? Well, I’m going to say it again today.
First, you get Jesus into any situation by serving Him in that situation. If you don’t learn anything else here today, that right there will change your life. We have to learn how to let certain things impact us.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. – James 5:16b
What does it mean when it says “effectual fervent?” It means passionate – you’re passionate because you’re taking it personal. You let things affect you and when you do this, you get Jesus into that situation.
You also have to determine how less than positive things affect you. For example, how your haters affect you is on you. It’s not on anybody else.
That’s been a hard lesson for me because I really want to win people over. Trust me, there’s a lot of people you just cannot win over so stop beating yourself up trying.
By the way, you’re fighting the wrong battle if you’re trying to win your haters over. Your job is not to get them to love you. Your job is to demonstrate the love of Jesus to them. When you do that, the results are not yours – they are the Lord’s.
Serve the Lord. Demonstrate Jesus and be passionate about it. You’ll have real power in your life to love those who hate you and to overcome the obstacles life throws at you. I guarantee it.

JESUS WILL MEET YOU THERE
I Am a good Father. I know your faults and failures. I understand your needs. Come into the living room. Sit and talk in My presence. Only there can I give you right standing and victory.
JESUS WILL MEET YOU THERESeeking proves you want it. What is it? The Kingdom! The Kingdom of God is where Jesus rules and reigns. When you seek the Kingdom, you’re also seeking the King.
As a Christian, the most important thing you can do is seek the heart of King Jesus.
“But Pastor Troy, you don’t understand. I need to get cured of my disease or addiction. I need better relationships and my finances are a mess. I need more faith and understanding of the Bible, and I want to speak in tongues. If Jesus cares about these things, shouldn’t I be talking to Him about them?”
Well, yes and no. Yes, Jesus cares about all those things and more. But this is the key to answered prayer: When you seek Him and the right standing He gives you, you’ve qualified for upgrade.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33
You see, seeking qualifies you for the thing you’re looking for. A seeker is somebody who pays attention to spiritual things. It’s somebody who looks for the Kingdom and goes to the next level in everything they do.
God meets people in the place of seeking. Here’s an example: Any time that you see Jesus say, “Lo” in the Old Testament, He’s saying, “Look for Me.” When He says, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the ends of the earth.” He’s saying, “Look for Me when you get off your map.”
Jesus will meet you in the place of seeking – when you’re out of your element and your comfort zone has been left in the dust. Is this where you are today? If you’re not, get off the couch. Go after the Kingdom. Jesus will meet you there and add all these things that you need.

SEEK AND HIDE?
I gave you My word because I want a relationship with you. Learn of My ways, My heart and know you are loved. You are my dear child.
SEEK AND HIDE?If you will get before God and get consecrated to pursue a certain thing – God will bless your pursuit. The Bible says the Lord had sought for someone to love Him with their whole heart. Enter David.
“…The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart…” – 1 Samuel 13:14
That word “after” literally means “in pursuit of.” David was blessed not because he was a Marvel comic superhero, a Jedi or because he learned more Scripture than anybody else. He was blessed because he was a man after God’s own heart.
The power of God shows up in the things we pursue concerning the Kingdom. Kingdom power shows up in Kingdom pursuit. If you consider yourself someone who loves God, seek His heart. Seek His ways with a passion! He has given us His thoughts and wishes in His word, the Bible.
Most people these days have one and that’s nice, but it truly is just a book until you open it and begin to indulge in the very word of God. Read it. Study it. Memorize it. Write it down on scrap paper. Matthew makes it pretty plain for us:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7
Seek Him then hide His word in your heart as David did. Not only did David know God’s word, he kept his commands and in those times when he fell, David threw himself on the ground and admitted his sin. He begged forgiveness then got up and did the right thing. He repented and went on loving God in a crazy cool way.
God blesses pursuit, yes, but all the more so when you’re pursuing His kingdom. God’s word also tells us in Psalms 23 that goodness and mercy will follow us. Ironic how they will follow us when we seek His heart.

5782 / 2022 WORD: CONSECRATED TO HIS PRESENCE
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 3, 2022 – LIVE ON DAYSTAR
PASTOR TROY BREWER, OPENDOOR CHURCH, BURLESON, TX
LETS JUST START OFF BY TALKING ABOUT WHAT WE ARE SHOOTING FOR HERE
Exodus 32:29 – For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD,….. that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.
THERE IS A SPECIAL BLESSING THAT ONLY COMES FROM TIMES OF WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS CONSECRATION
IF YOUR GOING TO GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND IN THE POWER OF GOD THIS YEAR
THERE ARE 2 WORDS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND LIVE OUT AS PART OF YOUR KINGDOM VOCABULARY
Consecration and Contemplation
Consecration is about an intentional posture towards Gods presence
Setting your self apart in a specific way for God to bless you in a specific way
Some of those ways are going to be common among all christians
for example in
Matthew 6 – When you pray, When you fast, when you give…
and some of those ways are going to be totally unique to you
Jesus went to a mountain, Jeremiah went to a cave, Ezekiel went to the river and Daniel went to the window david danced before The Lord Moses wrote Solomon thought
Hearing the trumpet blow
I love calendars and timelines because the Bible is filled with them. If it makes Father God happy to set dates and make appointments, I’m on board with that. I hope you are too.
WHY DO WE SEEK THE LORD AT THE START OF THE YEAR AND WHY SHOULD YOU?
People who live life at a much higher level In Christ live a life committed to consecration
psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me;
Psalm 84:5 – Blessed is the man whose ……Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
Luke 6:38
…..For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
The other thing we need to be dedicated to is contemplation
We will remember the things God is Speaking to us and we will. Meditate and think on it until we have come to supernatural and holy ghost conclusions that only the lord could take us to
Psalms 1:2 – (a blessed man) has his delight on the teachings of the lord and he meditates on it day and night
You have to want to think God thoughts
It is good to have so many friends and family members here tonight there’s a since of expectancy in the room
GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU, RIGHT NOW A WORD THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING. A word in direct contrast to the what the world is saying and we must develop a huge value for the voice of God .
A HIGHER VALUE HIS VOICE
John 10:27 – My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
Romans 10:17 – So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Jeremiah 33:3 – Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
John 8:47 – Whoever is of God hears the words of God.
John 16:13 – When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Romans 8:14 ESV – For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Hebrews 2:1 ESV – Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.
Psalm 32:8-9 – I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.
You can get still and get small and you can hear the still small voice of he word of God as described in 1 Kings chapter 19. If your going to seek after God then you have to want more of HIM.
A HUNGER FOR THE VOICE OF GOD
BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HUNGER AN THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THEY SHALL BE FILLED
A readiness to find his voice
I am ready to hear your voice no matter where you want to speak help me Lord to find you even in my busy places, help me to hear the music and recognize your greatness in my life.
A READINESS TO HEED HIS VOICE
James 1:22 – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
As I do every year i have spent the first part of this year fasting and praying and seeking an asking and knocking and as Go does every year He has been way more faithful than me and hr has given me a word for this year.
God loves to reveal to us secret and prophetic things
Proverbs 25:2It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.
Amos 3:7 – Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets
I love calendars and timelines because the Bible is filled with them. If it makes Father God happy to set dates and make appointments, I’m on board with that. I hope you are too.
God not only speaks through the calendar, but He literally shouts at us through numbers in scripture.
GEMATRIA: HEBREW, LIKE THE GREEK AND ROMAN LANGUAGES, DOES NOT HAVE SEPARATE NUMBERS FROM LETTERS. THE LETTERS LITERALLY ARE NUMBERS.
This means every word in the Bible is also a number and God speaks a mathematical lingo to those of us with “an eye to see and and ear to hear
NOT NUMEROLOGY – POWER IN GOD’S WORD
2021 IS NOT OVER YET! STILL WALKING IN THE REVELATION…
This is the 21st year of the 21st century
3×7=21 – When the Spirit (7) has perfectly completed (3) His work, everything is seen for what it really is. Exposure of hearts.
21 represents the spirit of the Lord being made manifest in His fullest extent in order to confront the enemy and to bare good fruit
Connected with manifest darkness and revealing it for what it really is.
There are 21 hidden sins brought out into the open in 2 Timothy 3 for the last days.
Israel entered the land of Canaan after 21 sins were recorded against them in their wilderness wandering.
The tabernacle had 21 coverings to cover all of Israel’s sins (Ex. 26:3, 7); God’s provision in the midst of this distress.
Jacob’s times of distress ended after 21 years when he went to Bethel and “called on the name of the Lord.”
A year of incredible angelic warfare and supernatural battles
For 21 days the Prince of Persia, a demon, prevented an angel from bringing a message to Daniel. The Archangel Michael finally arrived and helped the angel so the Spirit of God could be manifest for Daniel.
Daniel 10:13 – Jesus said the word “angel” 21 times, always to the plural.
2021 SCRIPTURES
Exodus 20:21 – So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.
HE IS SENDING YOU OUT AS LAMBS AMONG WOLVES
John 20:21 – So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
THE ONE NEW MAN OF JEW AND GENTILE TOGETHER IS RISING.
Acts 20:21 – … testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
1= ALEPH
Pictograph: Ox, strength, leader
Aleph: Master, Lord
Numeric value is not only 1 (unity; fullness), but 1,000.
THE OPEN HAND: A THOUSAND-FOLD BLESSING
Deuteronomy 1:11 – May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you!
SPEAKING OF ALEPH & 1000, THERE ARE EXACTLY SIX ALEPHS IN GENESIS 1:1 – EACH ONE SPEAKS OF 1000 YEARS OF HUMAN HISTORY BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF KING JESUS TO SET UP HIS KINGDOM ON THE “7TH DAY.” (GRX ALEPH 1000 IF YOU CAN USE JUST BOTTOM PART)
END OF DISTRESS – 2021 HAS BEEN A YEAR OF DISTRESS!
2022 & 5782
As a guy who loves numbers and the voice of God through His mathematical lingo, I can tell you I am so excited about the year 5782 on the Hebrew calendar & 2022 on the Gregorian.
As the calendars converge, so does the voice of God to His people in these last days.
So, what is God Almighty speaking through the Hebrew year 5782 or 82?
Check this out and see if it makes your baby leap:
The Hebrew letter/number for 80 is “Pey,” which has a prophetic symbol of a mouth. (GRX PEY 1)
It’s all about the power of the spoken word.
If God literally creates with His words, what does that say about ours? They, too, are powerful.
Add that to the Hebrew letter/number for two, which is “Bet,” and the year 82 explodes!
Bet is the first letter all of Hebrew scripture. (GRX BET)
“Bereshit” means “in the beginning.”
Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning (time), God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter).
BET
Prophetic symbol of a tent or house.
“House of creation” or “beginning of the universe.”
The Jews see an opening on the left of the Bet as a window to let light and revelation in.
22 is all about light and revelation as we will see in a minute.
Now, here is the best part, so wait for it…
PEY HAS A HIDDEN BET INSIDE IT! THE YEAR 82 IS A DOUBLE BET! THE HIDDEN AND THE EXPOSED!! (GRX OF HIDDEN BET)
Romans 4:17 – (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did
My friends, 5782 is all about speaking life, creating with your words, declaring and decreeing things into existence.
You can set the atmosphere in your home, your work and relationships with the words you speak this year and it will be doubly anointed and doubly blessed!
TESTIFY TO JESUS—DAVID DID BEFORE JESUS WAS EVEN BORN!
David’s Prophetic Vision of the Cross
Psalms 22:22– I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.
Speaking of doubles, this will blow your mind.
82nd verse of the Old Testament
Genesis 4:2 – And she again bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Now, the 82nd verse in the New Testament also speaks of brothers:
82nd verse of New Testament
Matthew 4:18 – And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
While Cain and Abel opposites, a farmer and rancher, Andrew and Peter are both fishermen.
Cain started his own false religion while Abel followed the instructions of the One True God.
Here’s the difference Jesus and grace make: brotherly love and brothers like Andrew & Peter coming together!
This moves us to the Gregorian year 2022.
When we look at the 22 of the Gregorian calendar year, this verse jumped out to me.
It’s the Prophetic intersection of what the Lord wants to do this year in both Abraham’s natural children (the Jews) and his supernatural children (us bacon-eating Gentiles) to make the
One New Man of Ephesians 2:15 Paul so longed for.
Job 22:28 – You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you (5782); So light will shine on your ways (2022).
BOOM! The number 22 in scripture is all bout personal revelation and light being made manifest.
It’s about things hidden in darkness being exposed and the Light of the World showing up and saying, “Ta-Da! Here I am in this part of your life!”
The word says God’s Word (Jesus) is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, right?
22 IN SCRIPTURE:
There are 66 books in the Bible – 3×22
New Testament—the New Revelation of Jesus as the Light of the World.
There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet—every word is a revelation or light to mankind.
There are 22 chapters in Revelation, revealing Jesus as the Mighty Warrior & light of the world.
Revelation 22:4-5 – They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
“Light” is used 22 times in the Gospel of John.
The 22nd time is John 12:46 –“ I have come as the light of the world…”
Psalms 22 is titled “The Prophetic Portrait of the Cross.”
There were 22 bowls to hold oil for the candlestick in the Tabernacle.
There were 22 almonds on the seven branches of the candlestick in the tabernacle (Exodus 25:31-37).
There were 22,000 priests of Levi that redeemed the firstborn sons of Israel and brought the light of Scripture to the Jewish nation.
22nd BOOK IN BIBLE: Song of Solomon
Jesus calling to His Bride, the Church. The Promise of a wedding!
I’m not making this stuff up.
When God uses the number 22, the light of Jesus and His personal revelation to you is all over it!
Paul is a perfect picture of personal revelation through the light of Jesus.
Saul is mentioned 22 times in the New Testament – all in the book of Acts.
The 22nd time Saul is mentioned in the New Testament, he is telling King Agrippa of the revelation light of Jesus blinding him at his miracle conversion. No joke!
Acts 26:14 – And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’
What is a goad? It’s what you prick an ox with to make him move.
The Aleph or 80 part of 82 is an ox, which stands for strength and leadership.
22nd Element – Titanium – Strong as steel but weighs 40 percent less
When you look at these verses, you see both the promise of 82 and the light of 22 for this year:
22nd verse in Old Testament
Genesis 1:22 – And God blessed them saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas and let foul multiply in the earth.”
22nd verse in New Testament
Matthew 1:22 – So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
John 20:22 – And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Psalms 22:22 – I will declare your name to my brothers; in the assembly I will praise you.
And finally, Psalms 22 is King David’s prophetic song foretelling his “son” Yeshua (Jesus). While David is crying out in the natural, he is supernaturally seeing Jesus on the cross of sacrifice, hearing the words Jesus says and those of the crowd around Him. When you compare this to the Gospel accounts of the cross, there is no other explanation.
I believe David is seeing the Light of the World be snuffed out to save us all.
Amazing! I also like to think that Psalms 22 is a prophetic prayer for Jesus. Everyone who has read or prayed this Psalm throughout time has been literally praying and interceding for Jesus on that cross. Read it! Declare and decree it in this amazing year of 5782 and 2022.
EXTRA INFO IF YOU NEED TO FILL MORE TIME: The 22nd time that Abraham is mentioned is in Gen. 25:5 when he gives all he owns to Isaac.
Isaac was the inheritor of the promise, and he was a type of Christ in this regard, for after He died and rose again, He ascended, and the Father put all things under His feet (authority). And the sons of God are co-heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17).
Genesis 25:5 (5+5+5+5+5+5 = Grace over 6/flesh of man) – “Now Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.”
The 22nd time Joseph is mentioned: Genesis 37 – Joseph, a type of Christ at His second coming, was given authority over all that Potiphar owned.
Genesis 37:4 – So Joseph found favor in his [Potiphar’s] sight, and became his personal servant; and he made him overseer over his house and all that he owned he put in his charge.
Christ, the Head and the Body of Christ, will be given authority over all that He owns—the creation itself.
This speaks of ruling as Sons.
Joshua is another type of Christ, since he had the same name as Jesus (Yeshua).
The 22nd time Joshua is mentioned: Deuteronomy 31, where he is given authority over “the church in the wilderness”
Deuteronomy 31:7 – Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.”
The 22nd time David is mentioned: 1 Samuel 17, where he tells Saul that he delivered a lamb from both a lion and a bear, so why should he fear Goliath?
1 Samuel 17:34 (17+17+17= triple overcoming victory) – But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock”
As a type of Christ, David delivered the lambs from death.
Jesus delivered the lambs (people) from death as well by giving His life for them on the cross.
There is so much more, but it will have to be for another time. Until then, I pray these prophetic words and pictures will speak to your heart this year and draw you closer to the Light of the World, the Creator and the Word—King Jesus, the Bereshit of all things!

I Am the Church 1: Worldviews
Sunday, August 1, 2021
Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX
One of the big challenges about getting old is eyesight. I’m not Catholic. I’m looking for my glasses… I hate to wear glasses. It’s like an act of rebellion for me. When they tell me I’ve got to have glasses to drive, I’ll just go out and get a prescription windshield. When I first started needing glasses to read, Leanna got so tired of me stealing her glasses that she started getting these outrageous and ridiculous glasses.
“Troy, what are you going to do when people see you wearing those glasses?” I’ll warn them to shield themselves from my awesomeness.
“You look really different when you don’t wear glasses.”
That’s funny because you look really different when I don’t wear glasses! How we see things, our perceptive and our lens matters. That is called a Christian worldview:
Biblical worldviews and Kingdom paradigms are crucial to being victorious today.
Worldview: “The filter through which you look at all experiences and information, and decide how you’re going to respond.”
Because worldview consists of a person’s most fundamental assumptions and beliefs about truth, it is central to how humans experience the world and interact with one another in society.
Your world view is developed between 18 months and 13 years old.
Do you have a biblical worldview? Answer the following questions based on claims found in the Bible which George Barna used in his latest survey:
1. Does absolute moral truth exist?
2. Is absolute truth defined by the Bible?
3. Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?
4. Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today?
5. Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
6. Is Satan real?
7. Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in Christ with other people?
8. Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings?
Did you answer yes to these? Only 9 percent of “born- again” believers did. But what’s more important than your yes to these questions is whether your life shows it. Granted, we are all sinners and fall short, but most of our gut reactions will reflect what we deep-down, honest-to-goodness believe to be real and true.
Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Colossians 2:8 – We then are taken “captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.”
Matthew 24:3-14 – Do not be deceived and do not be troubled (alarmed or freaked out)
Paradigm: A framework of how you think about something. How you make a decision and how you solve a problem.
Your lens is not your worldview.
It’s your framework of how one thought goes through another.
Every single one of us has a paradigm. We all have a belief system through which we judge all aspects of life. We judge speakers, authors, and entertainers. We judge events, churches, and workplaces. We judge family, friends, and co-workers all through this framework. We may not like the word “judge” but we all do it.
That brings us to the subject of identity…..
I’m starting a whole new teaching series today called “I Am the Church” and it’s going to be on who we actually are, how God sees us and how we conform our lives to this revelation.
You are “the apple of His eye.”
Protected, really valued, super important and no way at all that He won’s react if something touches it.
Psalm 17:8 – Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings
Zechariah 2:8 – For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.”
Deuteronomy 32:10 – “He found him in a desert land, And in the howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.”
Proverbs 7:2 – Keep my commandments and live, and my teaching as the apple of your eye.
Another traditional definition of “apple of His eye” means face to face with somebody so close that you can see your reflection in the eye of the person you are looking at. That tiny reflection is the apple of his eye.
Seeing yourself through the lens of the Father’s eyes.
Seeing yourself the way the Father sees you.
Coming into agreement with who the Father says you are.
Seeing eye to eye: To agree (with someone); to share the same position or opinion (as someone else).
Moses was a Hebrew castaway adopted and brought up in an Egyptian world. He didn’t “fit in” with the surrounding culture. While his people were enslaved; he lived as royalty. He made a huge mistake when he murdered an Egyptian to help a Hebrew slave and ended up in the wilderness. When God comes to Moses and gives him a job, Moses has another identity crisis:
Exodus 3:11 – “Who am I, that I should go…?”
He felt unworthy and incapable.
God has the answer to our identity issues. It is all about who He is and what He can accomplish in our lives if we let Him.
God’s answer to Moses and to us is this:
Exodus 3:12 – “I will be with you.”
In all things, at all times, He is with us. Every problem, every feeling of inadequacy, every painful circumstance–He is there with abundant resources to offer us.
1 Corinthians 13:12 – For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
One of the identities we have to grow and understand is our role in “being the Church.”
We are the church. I don’t just mean OpenDoor. I mean you, me, Billy Graham, Martin Luther, Paul Wilbur, TD Jakes, your grandmother who loved Jesus, Tim Tebow, Harriet Tubman, Polycarp, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. We are all part of the same exact body where Christ is the head and the same exact building where the Spirit of the Lord dwells.
The Church is not subject to time, space or even matter because we are connected to Jesus and Jesus is not subject to time space or matter. He created all those things and has pre-eminence over all those things.
Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning (TIME), God created the heavens (SPACE) and the earth (MATTER).
THE CHURCH IS THE TEMPLE
1 Corinthians 3:16 – Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
WE ARE LIVING STONES IN THE TEMPLE
1 Peter 2:5 – …you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ
THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF JESUS
Colossians 1:18 – He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF JESUS
1 Corinthians 12:27 – Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.
WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF JESUS
Romans 12:4-5 – For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
If we are going to say that “I am the Church,” you are the Church and we are all the Church then we are all going to say that demographic, race and background has to be secondary
Galatians 3:28 – There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
IF WE ARE GOING TO SAY WE ARE THE CHURCH AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON OF FAITH IS A MINISTER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST, WE HAVE TO SAY THAT EVERY JOB IS A MINISTRY AND SEE OUR JOBS AS MINISTRIES. THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CHURCH HAS TO SEE EVERY JOB AS MINISTRY.
BUTCHERS, BAKERS AND WEBSITE MAKERS
Your job is a ministry!!!!
IF YOU ARE GOING TO SAY “I AM THE CHURCH,” YOU HAVE TO SAY “I AM RESPONSIBLE TO BE CONNECTED WITHIN THE BODY AS A LIVING STONE TO THE TEMPLE. I AM A VALUABLE MEMBER OF THE BODY.”
Christianity was not meant to be done alone.
If you are the church then you are to be connected as a member of the body and as a living stone in the temple…
PEOPLE SAY, “I DON’T HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH TO BE A CHRISTIAN,” BUT I SAY THIS:
IF YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED AND TAKING PART IN A LOCAL CHURCH, YOU ARE NOT ALL YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE–AND THE CHURCH IS NOT ALL IT COULD BE BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT THERE! YOU ARE NEEDED IN THE BODY OF CHRIST. YOU ARE ESSENTIAL!

SAY, “AMEN!”
Before you were born, I spoke a purpose into your life. Do you see it? When you seek, you will find. When you knock, I’ll open the door to all I have for you and tell you, “Yes.” Are you willing to say, “Amen”?
SAY, “AMEN!”Your life is really a big deal and it needs to be lived well. God is trusting you to live a life that He has paid for you to live so don’t squander that gift.
There’s a big difference between an epic life and a nominal life. Epic means “heroic, majestic, impressively great.” Nominal means “existing in name only, very small.” What’s real is, it’s up to you if your walk with Jesus is epic or if it is nominal.
It’s up to you – not anybody else – if you have the kind of walk with Jesus that provokes people to jealousy. They should see your blessed life and say, “What do they have that I don’t?”
On the flip side, you can also be the kind of Christian that causes people to hate Christianity. It’s up to you, that’s not up to anybody else.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” – Luke 6:38
This verse says that it’s not up to God, it’s up to you to determine how much of the kingdom you get into your life. God has already said, “Yes,” and your job is to say, “Amen.” The Bible says that the promises of God are “yes and amen.”
Amen means “let it be established” or “make this thing happen!” It’s a big deal to tell the Lord “Amen” and it comes with all kinds of blessing and upgrade that are, well, epic. Are you ready to shake the nominal? AMEN!

THE “WRIGHT” & THE WRONG BROTHERS

UNITY AND BROTHERHOOD ARE KEY THEMES FOR THE CHURCH IN 2022 AND 5782
Psalms 22:22 – I will declare your name to my brothers; in the assembly I will praise you.
Jesus is made manifest in strategic alliances and relationships this year like never before.
ARE YOU WITH THE RIGHT BROTHERS OR THE WRONG BROTHERS THIS YEAR?
82nd verse of the Old Testament
Genesis 4:2 – And she again bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Cain and Abel were not just opposites in their trade, they were in opposition in worldview. Abel’s worldview was “The Lord is good and I will do what pleases him.
Cain’s worldview was that of Rome: “What I do is good and I will do what pleases me.” Cain not only murdered his own brother, he started the world’s first false religion! DEFINITELY NOT THE RIGHT BROTHERS…
Check out the only 82 I could find in the heavens: The star 82 Geminorum.
It is in the constellation Gemini—The Twins! And these twins are in unity because they are holding hands!
82 Geminorum is a “multiple giant” star located in the right hand of the southern twin. The right hand is all about strength, which is what the number 80 represents in Psalms 90:10 (plus 90-10=80, I couldn’t resist).
UNITY MAKES US A CONDUIT FOR GOD’S POWER!
SPEAKING OF THE RIGHT BROTHERS, CHECK THIS 82 OUT:
Strong’s 82 – Abar “to fly” or “to move wings”
Job 39:26 – Does the hawk fly by your wisdom and stretch her wings toward the south?
Working in total unity of purpose, the “Wright (builder) Brothers,” Oroville (gold) and Wilbur (resolute; brilliant) took to the skies in the “Wright Flyer” from Kitty HAWK, North Carolina, near Kill Devil Hills on December 17 (12/17), 1903. Brothers working in unity can do anything!
David gathers his “mighty men of valor”
1 Chronicles 12:17 – And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment.”
Everyone is needed in the Body of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:17 – If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?
Jesus will not be found among the wrong brothers — the Cains and the Abels—but among the “right brothers” like Peter and Andrew, and Oroville and Wilbur Wright this year.
The Peter and Andrew assemblies are doing the same work and Jesus is in their midst. One mind, purpose and body in 2022 and 5782:
1 Corinthians 12:12-13 – For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
1 CORINTHIANS 12 IS ALL ABOUT GETTING ALONG, BEING BROTHERS IN UNITY AND BEING ONE.
CHAPTER ENDS WITH “AND I WILL SHOW YOU THE MOST EXCELLENT WAY…”
CHAPTER 13 – LOVE!!!!

JESUS, BARS AND BROTHELS
When I came the first time, the priests and Pharisees were offended. I was not what they thought. I did not act how they assumed and I did not shower them with praise and attention they thought they deserved. They missed my salvation and my blessings. Will you?
JESUS, BARS AND BROTHELSSeeking means “to pursue until you see.” That means you don’t give up. You know what causes you to give up? Offense.
“But Pastor Troy, you don’t understand! I did this, and God didn’t do that in return so I quit seeking Him.”
Oh, I understand perfectly. True seekers qualify for finding because the only way you can continue to seek is if you can get past your offense.
“But, PT, Jesus wouldn’t offend me.” Oh, yes. Yes, He will.
What is all that about? It’s all about a method. What if Jesus shows up in a different way than you thought He was going to? Can you deal with the offense of that? Because He will.
Jesus Christ will show up in your life and lead you to a place you were not expecting to go. He’ll show up in a way you did not expect Him to show up and He will do something you didn’t even know Jesus does. You have to be able to deal with the offense of that.
My friends, we have a tendency to put God in a box and say, “God would never….” or “Jesus always…” That’s ludicrous! Jesus goes into prisons, bars and brothels.
When He doesn’t jump through your hoops, fit the mold or meet your holier than thou criteria, are you going to get offended, stop seeking and walk away? Many do. But that’s not you. You are a seeker and you will find. You will know and the door will be opened.
The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook an offense. – Proverbs 19:11

JESUS LOVES MUSLIMS
Just as I called out to Hagar in the desert and rescued her from death and despair, I blessed her son, Ishmael. He is the son of My friend, Abraham. He is a mighty nation and I love His children. Testify to Me and pray for their deliverance. They are your family too.
JESUS LOVES MUSLIMSIt’s been a while since I told you a story, so today’s your lucky day. Years ago, Leanna and I were on our first missionary trip to Sierra Leone, Africa. To say it was a rugged place wouldn’t do it justice. This place was raw!
We had been in a mostly Muslim village run by “the Tiki Man” – a witch doctor whom I won over with a few selfies and some applause. We loved on those people and helped them. When it was time to leave, these people who had never taken a bath in their lives, climbed on our bus to take us to civilization and the airport.
When we got there, our bus driver actually ran over a woman in the street, which caused a huge mob to form. They not only pulled our driver off the bus and gave him a beat down, they were rocking the bus, shouting and threatening to push us over.
Not knowing what to do, I told Leanna, “I’m going to act like a crazy man and push my way off this bus and through the crowd. You get behind me and keep your head down!”
My bride, being way smarter than I am, said, “But Troy, Jesus is going to do something, isn’t He? He always does something for us when we need it.”
Duh! I completely forgot about Jesus. In the midst of the mess and madness, I put my hands in the air and shouted. “Father, in the name of Jesus, let the Prince of Peace be manifest here.” BOOM! The noise stopped and the people just walked away.
Our Muslim brothers and sisters were stunned into silence. Abdul, the guy who had been sitting on my knee for seven hours said, “We know Jesus, but we don’t know Him as the Prince of Peace. He is just a prophet.” So I said, “Abdul, why don’t I pray that you to know Him like I know Him?” Abdul said OK and I did
Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you…” – Acts 3:6
Several days after I was home, the phone rang and it was Abdul. No joke! He had a dream where he was sitting under a tree reading the Koran when a man he didn’t know gave Him a Bible and told him, “Abdul, read this. It testifies of Me. I Am Jesus, your salvation.”
My friends, Abdul was calling me from church! Jesus showed up for him just like He showed up for me on that bus. In his dream and when he woke up, Abdul gave his life to Jesus. He called me to see if he should take on a Christian name now that he knew the truth. I said, “He called you by name – Abdul. I’d keep it and tell everyone that Jesus loves Muslims.”
He does and so should you. Pray for their day of visitation so they will know that Jesus isn’t a prophet – He’s their salvation.
