Do you have imagination?

Have you ever felt a shiver run down your spine when your house settled late at night? Have you sat at the edge of your seat while watching a horror movie? Have you felt your heart race while reading a scary story?
Then celebrate! According to Doyle you have imagination. And that is a superpower that you can use in your life and your business to create amazing things.

Dream Jobs
A new study by Casumo identified the top 18 dream jobs, based on Google Search data, and the odds of achieving that dream. Included in that list was the following online dream job:
#6: A Youtuber with +500K followers.
Odds: 1 in 179,361
Or you are 17.94 x more likely to have triplets than to become a 500k subscriber Youtuber.
Becoming a Youtuber was higher on the list than Astronaut (#17) or a Firefighter (#13).
What was #1? Pilot!
Interestingly enough, Author did not make the list. Why? I don't know for sure, but I suspect that it is a combination of the following:
* People don't know it can be a viable career
* People don't allow themselves to dream of this career
* People think becoming an author is hard

The Blank Page is Perfect
There can be something daunting about the blank page, as it stares at you, daring you to put some words on it. It taunts you with its perfection. Mocks any words you write.
Well, I’m here to give you permission to stick your tongue out at the blank page and fill it with any words that come to mind. Creative expression can be messy at times, and that is perfectly OK.
Today is National Day of Writing, so write already! Write the next paragraph of your book. Write an ode to the blank page. Write a grocery list.
Writing begets writing. So just write anything – even the word “anything” – to get those creative juices flowing.

Take Charge
It is easy to follow the whims of your muse, the publishing industry, the myriad book gurus who can show you “The way” to success as an author. And what do you get?
=> Books you may have enjoyed writing but don’t take you and your business where you want to go. And so, they sit there on Amazon, un-marketed and unpurchased. ☹
=> Books that sell well but leave you feeling drained, as if they were paper (or digital) vampires sucking your soul dry. 🧛♀️
=> Books that have nothing to do with who you are and what you want to do but take you to a bestseller list that is meaningless to you. 🫙
Don’t let your author’s journey take the lead. YOU are the author of your books AND your journey.
Write books that serve a purpose for you, your business, AND your readers.
Write books that make your soul sing and your business grow.
Write books you were born to write, not the ones others tell you that you should write.

Annual Pumpkin Product Taste Test
Something I love to do every year is try out all the new pumpkin and pumpkin spice products I see on the shelf. This year I tried three items:
1. Drizzilicious Pumpkin Spice Bites
2. Kemp's Pumpkin Pie ice cream
3. Tate's Bake Shop Pumpkin Spice Cookies
My favorite? Kemps Pumpkin Pie ice cream. It was hands down the best pumpkin ice cream I’ve ever had! I especially loved the ribbons of cinnamon sugar that ran through it.

Failure is not an end
One of the aspects of a growth mindset is the perspective that failure is not an end in and of itself. It is an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to course correct. In fact, if you think of failures as milestones along the journey, you’ll be a lot happier.
