Bitty Bits

Time for Friday Bits!

1) Favorite show on HGTV?

2) Have you ever done a project based on a Pinterest picture?

3) Game you can lose yourself in if given the opportunity?

4) Piece of workout equipment you despise? Now liken it to something so we get the gist of how much you truly despise it. :)

Have a great weekend!

Between Two. And You?

Yesterday was apparently National Dessert Day. And I’m ashamed to say, I didn’t take full advantage of such a “holiday.”

I thought about it, of course.

Even tried to figure out what my all-time favorite dessert is.

I’m still thinking.

Right now, it’s a toss-up between Boston Crème Cake (like they have at Dierbergs Markets in St. Louis–specific, I know) and White Chocolate Mousse Pastry Puffs (which I make).

What’s your favorite dessert?

The Anatomy of a New Series

The Emergency Dessert Squad Mysteries, as the series is known, will kick off with book # 1: Éclair and Present Danger.

Yup, as my friend, Joe, said when I told him, “Tom Clancy is surely rolling over in his grave.” (I actually giggle every time I think of Joe saying that). :)

Anyway, this series came about in a rather interesting way. One of Dear Daughter # 1’s oldest friends came...

A Sprucing

Let’s have a little “book fun” today, shall we?

If you could modernize any classic tale, what would you pick and how would you suggest modernizing it? Your answer can be serious…or funny.

Yesterday, I went on a little bit of a “Fall cooking/baking spree” and posted pictures on my Laura Bradford Facebook author page. Because the pictures looked so yummy, I got lots of requests for the recipes.

Reset

If I wasn’t a writer, I’d find a way to bake for a living.

Now it’s your turn. If you had to pick another career, what would you pick?

The Intern

the-intern1I saw THE INTERN last night. I went thinking it was going to be a cute movie about a senior citizen going back to work.I mean, cute premise, yes?

But honestly, the movie was somuch more than that.

It was about acceptance.

It was about friendship.

It was about love.

And it was aboutwhat I believe is thesingle most beautiful gift you can give a person who matters to you—seeing them, really seeing them.

Wow.

It made me cry. Robert DeNiro was fantastic in this role. And Anne Hathaway was great, t...

The Pen Is In Your Hand…

Question time!

Think about the last book you read. Is there anything you’d change about it? If so, what would it be and why?
