Now Reading…
Today’s car maintenance day for me. So I’m driving 45 minutes north to the town where I went to high school to get an oil change and other scheduled maintenance (since I own a Saturn, I take it to a dealership certified to work on them).
I’ll be reading through the second half of my final pass edits on NEEDLE AND DREAD while I wait.
What are you reading?

A Whole Lot of Reading Going On…
A CHURN FOR THE WORSE final pass edits are now done. My eyes are a bit bleary (I read 270 pages in 14 hours), but it’s done. That whole 270 pages in 14 hour thing though? That might explain the ocular migraine I had at around hour 12… Sheesh.
I have to say, reading it again has made me excited for its release all over again.
I should be getting copy edits back on the short story I just turned in on Monday. Yup. Already. But that’s because we’re hoping to turn this around in the next few weeks...

Hangin’ Out
I’m curious about your social media usage.
Me, I’m a FB user. I like and understand that format. I have Twitter, too, but I just don’t get the allure, I really don’t.
I don’t do Instagram or a Snapchat or any of that stuff.
What do you do? What is your favorite (and why)?

Watcha Doing?
Well, I finished edits on the short story yesterday and sent that off to the official editor. I have to say, I find it easier in some ways to write a full novel. Not sure why, but I do. Maybe because I’ve been doing full length books for so long that it’s hard to transition to somethingthat’s less than 25 percent of what I normally do.
Odd.
Anyway, I don’t have a book-related topic today (frankly, I’m beat). Instead, I’m going to ask you about your Halloween plans this year.My youngest is hav...

The Week Ahead
I’m writing this at 2:47 a.m. I just typed “The End” on what I think is going to be aChristmas-themed short story for my Amish Mysteries series. Daylight and a massive edit will let me know for sure.
Once that’s done, it’s in to a final-pass edit of A Churn For The Worse (Amish Mystery # 5). This is the last read I will have of the book before it goes into production.
I’m hoping to sneak in a little me-time in the form of reading at some point this week, but time will tell on that one.
What’...

Camping We Will Go…
There’s something about the smell and feel of the air at this time of the year that always makes me think of camping. I guess that’s because the only camping I’ve ever done, with one lone exception, was as a Girl Scout, and we almost always went in October.
At the camp our troop went to, there were A-frame platforms with tarps…and cots. So not exactly true roughing it, you know?
We were taught the proper way to roll our gear into our sleeping bag and tie it off. And to see if we’d done it cor...
