On the Road

I’m heading back home today, which means I’m on the road all day.  I’ve not done any reading at all this past week but I wasn’t really expecting to, so no surprise there.

What are you working on this week, reading wise?

Three Things While Away

I don’t have pictures for this week’s “Three Things,”  but I have stuff to share nonetheless.

On Saturday, I went to the beach for a few hours with my sister.  Breathing in the ocean air is simply the best.

After the beach, we drove to a small waterside town with cute shops and restaurants. We ate an early dinner by the water and followed it up with some really good ice cream. Yum!

Sunday, there were a few rounds of Rummikub (I came in second out of four people).

All in all a nice, relaxing w...

A Hodge Podge of Bits

Bits time!

Where did you learn how to swim? Ice skate or roller skate? Age you were at the first memory you have? Favorite TV cartoon as a kid?

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Car Tunes

I’m at my destination, safe and sound.  And my 12 hour drive was actually 11…so I went very smoothly.  Hopefully the trip home next Tuesday will go as smoothly.

A Peek

While I know some of you visit my Facebook author page, I just have to share (here, too) the cover reveal for the next full-length book (#6, to be exact) in my Amish Mysteries, Just Plain Murder.

I was stunned when I saw it the first time as it is really quite beautiful with the colors and the painting-feel.

Since I’m driving today, I’d really appreciate you all taking a peek and, maybe considering sharing it on FB or Twitter from the USA Today Happy Ever After page.  The more “shares” we get...

Books, and Some Brain Picking…

Today, at the gym, I’m finishing up my latest Sophie Kinsella book, Twenties Girl. I wasn’t too sure about the premise at first, but I ended up falling in love with the story. Such fun!  I’ll be moving on to her brand new release when I return from my upcoming travel (and, thus, to the gym).

I want to hear what you’re all working on this week, but first I need to ask a huge favor.  I need you to think back to your teen years. Specifically any relationship you might have had.  I need ideas for...

Three Things

It was a relatively quiet weekend in my neck of the woods, so finding three things that won’t put you to sleep is a challenge, but the whole point of doing this every week is to make us all think at what are seemingly nothing things and see the happy. So here goes…

Friday, was about finishing up edits on my novella that will appear in an anthology with two other authors at this time next year. It was an easy edit so that was nice!

Saturday, I gathered up information for a newsletter that wil...

Roadtrip Bits

Around the middle of next week, I’ll be taking off for about a week (driving) to visit with my parents.  It’ll be a long drive–about 12 hours.  So, I come to you today, with bits themed around a get-from-Point-A-to-Point-B kinda roadtrip.

Sit down restaurant or drive-thru/keep driving? Lots of stops or as few as possible? Music or quiet? Wait until you’re close to Empty to refill or once you get below half? The ONE roadtrip snack you must have?

Have a great weekend!

Dear Holiday Maker Upper…

Writing prompt time!

Think of one of the crazier “holidays” and write a letter to the powers-that-be as to why it’s either ridiculous or brilliant. Or, plead the case of a holiday you think should exist. Make it fun.
