That Special Someone
Once in a while, I think about the babydoll I had growing up. Her name was Jody and I took her everywhere. And I do mean, everywhere. Jody was way before the Bitty Baby craze so finding outfits for a doll that matched a kid wasn’t that easy. But I had one dress that was almost identical to Jody’s and I thought that was the coolest thing.
I loved that doll like you can’t imagine. Still have her in my stash, only she was loved so hard she no longer has eyelashes, and her normal skin color has...

A New Short
For today’s Reading Tuesday, may I suggest a E-short story? Plain as Day (an E only short for my Amish Mysteries series) releases today. It’s 99 cents wherever you buy your e-books. And if you don’t have an e-reader, all online digital book vendors offer FREE reading apps that allow you to purchase the story and read it on the device of your choosing–computer, phone, tablet.
Here’s a tease for the story–which is designed to help fill the gap before JUST PLAIN MURDER, the next full length bo...

Three Things–Spring Break Edition
So it’s been a pretty busy weekend, with a few options for my three things.
On Friday night I got to pick DD # 2 up at school and bring her home (spring break). So that’s most definitely one of my “three.”
Saturday was about writing, getting some groceries back in the fridge and freezer after the forced power outage clean-out.
And on Sunday, DD # 2 and I headed into the city via the train (photo of Hudson River from our train seat) for a little spring break fun which included a trip to the C...

Storm Bits
In honor of the Nor’easters this past week (and the possibility of another looming for Monday), I thought we’d do some storm bits today.
Biggest weather event to impact you, personally? Tell us what you’ve experienced of the following: blizzard, flood, hurricane, tornado, tsunami (don’t want to assume so including them all): It seems blizzards and rain storms have names, too, these days, whereas I always thought it was reserved for hurricanes. So, if a storm were to be named after you, what...Lot’a Lot’a
I’m calling a snow day…
See you back here tomorrow…

Still Learnin’
We’re having Nor’easter # 2 in these parts today, only this time, instead of 70 mph wind gust and unbelievable rain, we’re due to get snow. They’re saying that from 2-6 p.m. today, it’ll be falling between 1-3 inches per hour.
Yeah.
Glad I’m inside…
I’m working on women’s fiction # 2 today (and really, just about every day for the next several months), and then getting some stuff together for a phone call with my publicist tomorrow. Busy, busy…
Of course, I’m a wee bit worried we’ll lose powe...

Three Things, Late
After three full days (Friday 11 a.m. to Monday 11 a.m.) without power following Friday’s Nor’easter, I’m back in business. Now we’ll see if tonight’s predicted storm (due to go thru Thursday morning) changes that, but for now, it’s lights on around here!

Quick Bits
I made some substantial progress on my edits and will be back at it for most of today. In the meantime, we have our weekly bits to attend to:
Favorite dinner? Favorite lunch? Favorite breakfast? Your main must-see TV show right now (pick your top one)? Are you a back, tummy, or side sleeper?Have a great weekend, everyone!

Dear So and So…
Writing prompt time!
Write the first few sentences to someone (or something) that’s been driving you nuts lately. Amuse us…
I’ll be editing hell today, so I’m really hoping for some fun responses to this (I’ll be checking back throughout the day, hoping for some laughs).

My Bucket List–The Travel Edition
Yesterday’s drive home was even easier than the drive there…phew! Though I need to remember I’m not 18 anymore. I literally stopped for gas twice (one of which was full serve–NJ, so I never got out) and one rest area stop. No food stops. Crazy, I know. But I hit ZERO traffic and literally was on cruise for all but maybe 60 minutes (total) of a 10 hour drive.
Now that I’m home, it’s time to write (women’s fiction # 2) and edit (Amish Mystery # 6). The book isn’t due for a few months. The e...
