Ended my summer at #HaveFaithHaiti, where a volunteer from CA, Erika Saeger, came down to teach our kids photography and framing, letting them take their own photos, watch them develop on a small printer, and make their frames. They loved it - and her - and are infatuated with her long hair! Huge thank you to Erika for making special memories for kids who deserve it. We also welcomed 5 new children: Francise. Jemina. Knox. Darvensky. Lewvensky. They're family now. www.havefaithhaiti.org

Visited the San Diego Central Library last week. Great place, very modern and cutting edge. Libraries are special places and I'm working on building 10 in the Philippines with the #DRYLibraries effort (see www.aholeintheroof.org) and am considering revamping an abandoned library in Detroit. UT San Diego shared some details from the great visit.

I love cars.

They don't love me back.

I think they're afraid of me. I would be. My handling of cars over the years has been horrific. I have smashed them, crashed them, lost their mirrors, lost their doors, and, on numerous occasions, lost the cars altogether. Whenever my family sees me slide behind the wheel, they say, "Wait. You're driving?" They have reason to be scared. When I approach a vehicle, I should be wearing a shroud.
