WINDOWS INTO THE MULTIVERSE WRITING CONTEST AUTUMN 2024
The photo (found on our website) is what I prefer to call a “Window”. In a way paintings, photos, and other visual arts are “Windows” into another space. Whether it is in the artist’s mind or a recreation of an actual place, these “Windows” allow us to pause for a moment and see someone else’s view. Why the “Multiverse” then? Many authors use paintings, photos, and other visual arts in order to inspire them to create whole new universes and times for us to enjoy. Where does this tunnel go? Is it a portal into another world or an opening to a primitive society? The destination is up to you!
This popular contest is a of staple our magazine and will continue to accept submissions quarterly in the months of January, April, July, and September.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
You are asked to write a micro-story beginning with “Through the window, I saw...” using the photo below as inspiration. The only restriction on your creativity is that you keep your micro-story clean. All genres are accepted. Submissions will open July 1-31. Please keep your submission to between 1,000 and 1,500 words. To submit your story fill out the form found on the “Contests” page of our website (cleanfictionmagazine.com). We will not use your micro-stories without your permission and the winner/s will be sent pages for approval. The winner/s will appear in our September 20th Autumn Edition along with the image on this page. Depending on the number of submissions we receive, there will be either winners in several genre categories OR an overall winner. Winners will be announced on August 8th. Each winner or the overall winner will receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card and an author feature ($40 value). The winner/s will be decided by the Clean Fiction staff and excerpts of each submission may be used for promotional purposes. We cannot wait to read what you write about this new image and are excited to read your submissions!

Summer Cover
Our Summer Edition 2024 cover has been REVEALED! (See it at cleanfictionmagazine.com) When I found this epic image of Moses by Panther Media. I just couldn't say no! This image perfectly captures both the power of the 10 Commandments and Moses' righteous anger at the Israelites for constructing a holy cow. Other than my favorite cover, the Summer Edition 2023's an astronaut's chat with Jesus, this cover comes in a close second. I hope that you like it just as much as I do.
Along with the cover launch, PREORDERS for the Summer Edition 2024 are now available. Preordering an Ebook copy or signing up for a Yearly Ebook/Paperback Subscription is the best low-cost way to support our magazine. We do not make a lot on actual magazine sales, but every little bit helps us to continue to bring you the content you know and love.

A LOT of people have been submitting their books lately which means that there will be a great number of TBR Pile listings appearing in the next edition. Keep sending in those books/audio dramas/other fiction to add to our list! It may take us some time, but every submission will be considered. We have reviewed around 620 books, graphic novels, manga, audiobooks, and audio dramas in only 10 editions. I am happy to say that Clean Fiction Magazine is becoming a rather extensive catalog of books that fellow Christians and clean fiction lovers can enjoy so keep them coming!
Lastly, after a short rest with my family, I will be heading into full layout mode and will not be able to answer emails or questions very quickly in order to meet the Amazon deadline of June 16th. I am still here and I am not ignoring you (per say), but if your question/email is not something urgent, I will be leaving it until after the June 20th launch.

When Author Lisa Lagaly sent me a link to her article (Find Article Here: https://authorlisalagaly.wordpress.co...), I was intrigued. It is true that Clean Fiction Magazine has handed out Clean Fiction Author graphics for years to authors who have had their books reviewed by the magazine, but a more general Clean Fiction Seal? What a great idea! As those of you who have been reading this magazine for a while should know, I love to collaborate with other authors and businesses in a way that allows everyone to benefit. As a member of the Clean Fiction Community, I love this concept and would also love to see a seal on every clean fiction author’s website or on the back of every clean fiction author’s book. Whether it is a seal of the author’s own creation or Lisa’s, showing the readers that you have created a book that avoids a lot of the pitfalls of modern literature is wonderful indeed. I know that it would make my own book choices a great deal easier.
To add to Lisa’s lovely design, I would like to put forward one of my own. This one focuses on clean books that have a Christian message. You can find a black, white, & golden version of both seals HERE. If you would like to join in this movement to unify and identify Clean Fiction Authors, you can either use one of the seals we created or create your own to show your support. If you do end up creating one of your own, feel free to send it our way and we can add it to the ones we have here on the "Clean Fiction Seal" page. Showing others that you are committed to producing clean fiction will not only benefit readers but allow other clean authors to feel a lot less alone. May the Clean Fiction Community unite in a common goal, to enjoy and to write good books without sacrificing our morals.

To add to Lisa’s lovely design, I would like to put forward one of my own. This one focuses on clean books that have a Christian message. You can find a black, white, & golden version of both seals HERE. If you would like to join in this movement to unify and identify Clean Fiction Authors, you can either use one of the seals we created or create your own to show your support. If you do end up creating one of your own, feel free to send it our way and we can add it to the ones we have here on the "Clean Fiction Seal" page. Showing others that you are committed to producing clean fiction will not only benefit readers but allow other clean authors to feel a lot less alone. DEADLINE HAS PASSED: Our advertising deadline for the Summer Edition 2024 has passed, but we still have some advertisements coming in. Considering the extreme number of emails that have come in over the last week, I am still wading through them all. The advertising deadline and reviewer deadline are the same day (Maybe a mistake on my part) as well as the end of the school year for my Librarian position is upon me. I promise that I have seen your email and that I will get to everything, but it might take me some time.
UPDATE ON BLIMEY COW: Our partnership with the Blimey Cow Podcast is going rather well and Clean Fiction Magazine should be appearing on their Friday upload for the next two weeks. That is a total of 6 weeks of support, which considering that I only signed up for 4 weeks, is very kind of the brothers. Please help me to repay this kindness by subscribing to the Blimey Cow YouTube channel. They are fellow Christians who don't pull any punches while also not shying away from silliness. I've been watching their content for over a decade and can vouch for it as good clean entertainment.

There was some concern about the transfer of italics on our new Writing Contest form so we added a document upload option for those who would like to use it in the future. Considering that formatting happens after the winners are announced, I didn't realize that this would bother anyone. Personally, I don't need any formatting to enjoy a story, but I realize now that I may be in the minority. Please accept my apology for making anyone stressed.
