Winter Cover Reveal

Hello All! Just in case you missed it on social media, this is our new cover for the Winter Edition 2024 of Clean Fiction Magazine! This particular artist is a favorite of mine and his fun mixture of bright, happy colors and fanciful subject matter make for a good match with our publication. Plus, I just love the kitsch style (if you haven't figured that out yet). I hope you love it just as much as I do!

In other news, I am working away at the Winter Edition 2024 with the intent to launch it early. That is why there is no current Pre-order for this edition. As soon as it is finished, it will be going to print with the hope that there will be more time for you to order before Christmas. If you didn't know, I do all of the layout for the magazine. Honestly, the layout is my favorite part. I adore being able to send out pages to the reviewers and authors, and watching the magazine come together one page at a time is great. At this point, I have created 1,519 pages in total (not counting if a page had to be made more than once due to corrections) and I still have more to go. And guess what, I put the same amount of care and effort into the first page I made as the pages I am making now. Putting out a quality product that will promote all of the authors, businesses, and audio drama's hard work, is very important. So now, I must get back to work! I don't know if you will hear from me next week; it all depends on how much I have finished. Until then,

May your day be bright and your reading be epic!
~ Amy Lynn McConahy, Clean Fiction Publisher

Rescuing a Supervillain: Rescuing a Supervillain
(Superhero Romance Project Book 6)

By H. L. Burke

Sometimes your soulmate is a cat. Sometimes that cat is a supervillain.

Failing to save a bystander during a superhero operation sends strong-man hero Slam, AKA Sam Reese, into a spiral. Unable to continue hero work due to panic attacks, he takes a hiatus to volunteer at a local cat rescue. Maybe some fluffy cuteness and lower pressure good deeds will help him get it together.

Supervillain and cat-shifter thief Bea needs to lie low. With her former gang pursuing her after a heist gone wrong, she reinvents herself. Until the coast is clear, she'll moonlight as a human pet-rescue volunteer—and as a rescue cat.

Slowly healing, Slam finds that he has a magic touch with animals. He devotes himself to taming a particularly frantic, feral cat as well as gaining the trust of his prickly, stand-offish new co-volunteer … but what will he do when he discovers they are one and the same?

Welcome Poetry Reviewer

Hello All! Do you have a poetry book that you would like to be reviewed by Clean Fiction Magazine? Well now is your chance! We are pleased to welcome our brand new Poetry Reviewer Alyssa Charpentier! Alyssa Charpentier is the Kirkus Reviews-recommended author of A Maiden's Wish, a fantasy novella. She is also a freelance pop culture and travel essayist published in Today's Christian Living Magazine, PopMatters, Geeks Under Grace, Go World Travel, and more. When not penning the next book or essay, Alyssa is likely making digital music, exploring her surroundings and her "home triangle" in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Idaho, and Montana) with her drone, grooving to rock/retro tunes, gobbling Godzilla movies, ruminating on deep ideas, and occasionally sailing the high seas with the U.S. Navy. You can find Alyssa on Instagram (@eternally_april) and at her website charpaly.com.

Though our advertising deadline and contests have passed for this edition, you can still use the last bit of 2024 to work on a micro-story or to decide on a cover for our Spring Cover Art Contest. Visit our website to learn more on our "Contests" page. Also, don't forget that we have 2 FREE ebook editions on Amazon TOMORROW.

May your day be bright and your reading be epic!

We Need Sponsors!

We are almost at the end of the submission period for both of our contests! The months of October, January, April, and July being contest submission months are always so packed! I hope that you have enjoyed seeing some of the Writing Contest excerpts on our social media. There are only 7 days left to submit a micro-story and only 2.5 days left to submit your book cover. Also, we still need sponsors for our Cover Art Contest. Currently, we only have 1 and with over 20 covers this is a great opportunity to snag this great deal. We had over 1,300 website hits during the last Cover Art Contest voting and that exposure doesn't count the social media shout-outs and final printing in the edition. We also include ad layout in the price, which means you don't need any design skill at all to place an advertisement. Time is limited, so place your sponsorship request today!

The only restriction on your creativity is that you keep your micro-story clean. All genres are accepted. Submissions will open October 1-31. Please keep your submission to between 1,000 and 1,500 words. For more information visit our website.

Contests in Full Swing

Both of our contests are in full swing as more submissions are coming in every day. It is so fun for me to see all the creativity that exists in the Clean Fiction Community. The covers that are coming in are FIRE and the Writing Contest submissions are so varied and unique that I already know that me and the other judges are going to have our work cut out for us! On a side note, I have been posting excerpts from some of the Writing Contest submissions on social media. If you are interested in seeing what your author peers have written, why not give us a follow on Instagram or Facebook? I would really appreciate it!

Also, we currently have 15 covers that have been submitted to our Cover Art Contest, but we only have 1 Contest Sponsor currently. Sponsors allow us to run these contests as FREE-to-submit and FREE-to-vote contests. A Sponsor Banner is only $25 (Our best advertising bargain!). With a sponsorship, you will receive: a website banner, mentions on social media, and your banner will be printed along with the contest in the upcoming edition.

Submissions Begin

Hello All! Windows into the Multiverse Writing Contest submissions for the Winter Edition 2024 have begun! I am so looking forward to reading your micro-stories. It encourages me when I read so many different interpretations of one image. Viewing the world through the eyes of others is why I enjoy reading so much. Whether your genre of choice is Science Fiction or Cozy Mystery, your story is welcome in our contest. For those who do not know, there are 4 judges for this contest (including myself), who enjoy a wide range of genres and are all authors in their own right. If you are interested in getting feedback about your submission after the contest is over, feel free to email me. If you are nervous about submitting your story, you don't need to be. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ here. Not every story is going to be everyone's cup of tea, but every story will be given a fair shot. Read on for the particulars!
