ANW's Takeaway Tuesday
How is your current path working out for you?
Not all paths are clear. Where you start may not be where you end up, as there might be a few redirections along the way.
A lot has happened, in the last 36 years. Thinking my career in Nursing would be my only career has been the furthest thing from the truth. Instead, my career choice has caused great deal of hurt and harm rather than joy and happiness. I, along with many other amazing nurses have suffered while trying to improve the profession. Fortunately, God had others plans for me. He has been "a light from heaven" (Acts 9:3) that has helped create a new path for me, a much healthier one; and I could not be happier.
So, if you, too, are struggling to figure out what to do or are not happy with what you are doing and need a change, might you seek guidance from someone who can help you find a new path, a new beginning. #LoveWhatYouDo

ANW's Meaningful Monday
What do you do with your regrets?
Regrets can be hard to live with, especially when you have not rectified them; and one of my biggest was allowing a profession and professionals to steal my joy.
For many years, I allowed these joy stealers to take away my joy through shaming, undermining, belittling and backbiting; and, little by little, I lost it, and replaced it with unhappiness, anger, and grief. Fortunately, with time, I was able to take back my joy with the help of someone who had to remind me to not retaliate, but step away and find another path that gives me joy. And, since then, that is what I have done, as He has helped me replace and refill my spirit with true joy (see Romans 15:13).
So, if you have regrets that are interfering with or taking away your joy, might you remember that you, and only you, dictate your own joy; and if you need assurance, seek The One who wants you to live a joy filled life (see Philippians 4:4 KJV). #NoRegrets #OnlyJoyAndHappiness

ANW's Savory Sunday
What wounds need healing?
All wounds, physical, psychological, and spiritual, need tending; and if left untreated, they will fester and become infected.
Suffering from all three made it very difficult to heal. The wounds slowly developed and remained open and infected, for many years, until they became septic and forced me to step away from my career to heal.
It has taken me a long time, seven years, to heal and come out of hiding, as the infection from the wounds were very severe and slow to heal, because of the prolonged pressure of a toxic work environment. But, with time and patience, He has slowly healed every one of them. There are still a few flare ups, but nothing like it used to be; and knowing that I do not have to hide or feel shame for trying to better my profession and help colleagues.
So, if you have wounds that are not healing well, inside or out, might you seek The Healer , like the leper did, and let Him touch you like he touched the man (see Mark 1:41) whom He made clean (see 1:40). #TreatYourWoundsSTAT

ANW's Soulful Saturday
How full is your treasure chest?
Real treasure is hard to find; but once found, it is priceless. One such treasure is wisdom; and once it grows and develops, the payoff will come when "a wise heart [knows] the...proper time and procedure for every matter" (Ecclesiastes 8:5-6).
Helping me to fill my treasure chest is someone who has become a very close and dear friend to me; and has helped me dig deep from within and pull out buried treasure and grow so I can share it with you.
Such treasure includes: gratitude, love, breath, joy, happiness, listening, music, time, healing, strength, blessings, emotions, honesty, integrity, passion, compassion, comfort, goodness, forgiveness, confidence, trust, believing, possibilities, peace, calm, caring, praise, encouragement, courage, fear, safety, prayer, help, support, kindness, choices, patience, knowledge, wisdom, perseverance, focus, presence, worry, faith, hope, exercise, activity, accountability, responsibility, self-reflection, loyalty, self-worth, change, grief, humility, and transparency.
So, if you are struggling to find any treasure, might you consider starting with His Word, as "She [aka wisdom] is more precious than rubies; [and] nothing you desire can compare with her" (Proverbs 3:15).

ANW's Fruitful Friday
How present are you?
Life has a way of causing distractions; and if you let them get in the way, you will miss much.
Being a wife, mom, student, and professional is not easy; and when unnecessary stressors are added to the list, it becomes even harder and that much easier to not be present, even when present. These additions caused me to not be fully in the moment; and instead of leaving them at the door, I brought them in with me everywhere I went. Fortunately, I had someone help me realize that time and people are precious and once those moments pass there is no rewind. I am most grateful and thankful that He is "with [me] always" (Matthew 28:20).
So, might you consider your presence, because, if you are not careful, life will pass you by in the blink of an eye. #LeaveTheDistractionsAtTheDoor & #BePresent

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday
How strong do you want to be?
It takes more than just the weight room to become strong. Aside from physical strength, the mental and spiritual needs exercising as well. And, knowing this is having lived it. At 46, I succumbed to a stress-induced heart attack, because of not properly taking care of my mind and soul.
Since that fateful day, my workout routine, now, includes mental and spiritual strengthening and conditioning. Daily, He replenishes and fills my mind, body, and soul with "dance", "[gladness]", "comfort", "joy" (31:13), and "abundance" (31:14), and so much more; and because of this, I am stronger than ever before.
So, if you would like to become stronger, might you ask Him for a personal session.

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday
How often are you disappointed?
There is nothing wrong with having expectations; but, with expectation comes disappointment.
Personally and professionally, I have always had expectations of both myself and others; but, unfortunatley, with time and experience, I have had many disappointments. One of my greatest came from a long career in a profession that expects excellence but tolerates toxicity; and because of this, I suffered greatly for it. Fortunately, this disappointment, opened a door to expectation, one that does not disappoint. "My soul, [now waits] silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him" (Psalm 62:5 NKJV).
So, if you are tired of being disappointed, might you give Him a chance, as He has yet to disappoint me. #NeverDisappoints

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday
What kind of shepherd are you?
There are many sheep that need tending to; and it takes a good shepherd to keep them from becoming "scattered" (Ezekiel 34:12).
In my profession and career, many want to shepherd but can not, because they are unwilling to "tend to [their] sheep" (34:15) "in a good pasture" so they can "lie down in good grazing land" (34:14); and because of their lack of care, guidance, and protection, most of their flock has scattered and continues to do so an alarming rate.
So, if you are going to shepherd, and be a good one, might you, like the Lord does, "[gather your] lambs in [your] arms and [carry] them close to [your] heart” (40:11). For when you do, you will never have to worry about any of your sheep scattering, because they will be in "a good pasture" (34:14). #ATrueShepherd

ANW's Meaningful Monday
How good are you?
Goodness, these days, has become more of an option than an expectation, as there are many I's and Me's instead of We's. Experiencing a great deal of professional I's and Me's, in a profession that is
supposedly one of We's, has spiraled because of its tolerance for unkind and caring professionals.
This tolerance, within its profession, has caused a great deal of maleficence instead of beneficence. Yet, even after what I experienced, I still chose goodness, not hate or bitterness, and because of doing so I have been able to create many new beginnings, a healthier career, a book, "Daily Inspiration", and #RRR products filled with love. This goodness is done in an effort to "admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, and be patient with everyone" (1 Thessalonians 5:14); and most importantly to “encourage one another and build each other up” (5:11) while expecting nothing in return (see Luke 6:35).
So, if you are contemplating offering your goodness, especially to those who are undeserving, always chose to "do good" and "to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10). #SpreadYourGoodnessEverywhereAndToEveryone & #NeverStop

ANW's Savory Sunday
What have you missed?
Much can blind you and deafen your hearing, even when it is right in front of you. Fortunately, you, at all times, have another set of eyes and ears that see and hear what you cannot or will not.
I saw and heard a lot, but not everything. For many years, I saw and heard, but chose not to listen or see what was happening to myself, because my stubbornness and pride got in the way. In my mind, I thought that I could change a toxic work environment; but, I could not. Thanks to my extra set of eyes and ears, my life was saved. Because, for the many years that I tried to make a positive change, He "[was] with [me]...wherever [I went]" (Genesis 28:15) and still is.
So, if you have a tendency to struggle with seeing and hearing, like I did, might you, too, ask for another set of eyes and ears, because He sees and hears everything very clearly, objectively, and honestly, and will let you know if you just ask.
