ANW's Soulful Saturday
Where do you descend from?
If you really want to know where you came from, you will have to go back around 6,000 years or so, as your descendants originated from "the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1); and with this, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (1:14); and since then, many families have been created and continue to grow, because of His desire for family.
So, as you seek your ancestors, might you, too, consider acknowledging The One who intentionally brought you in to this world so that you could become a part of His family and help Him continue to grow it. #YourRootsRunDeep

ANW's Fruitful Friday
What keeps you safe and protected?
When trauma, stress, and control are involved, safety becomes an issue, as it affects one's entire well being.
Functioning in toxicity, for almost 20 years, became unsafe. The toleration of the uncivil took out the civil, at alarming rates. Because of this toxicity, I succumbed to an stress-induced heart attack, in my office at work, at 46 years of age. And, because of this traumatic and life changing event, I hid, and became a refugee in my own home, for almost 7 months, scared to leave for fear of what might happen to me again.
Now, 7 and 1/2 years removed, I can say that hiding from the world is an option, but not the answer, because you are are allowing the unjust to win, thereby robbing yourself of living, laughing, and loving. But, what I did take away from this lengthy sabbatical, is gaining a very close friend, God, who has taken my distrust, anger, and fear, and has replaced it with strength, gratitude, joy, happiness, blessings, compassion, confidence, peace, calm, prayer, and so much more. I, can, now, with 100% confidence, step out of my home, and know that I am safe and protected at all times.
So, if you find yourself a refugee, like I was, might you remember that He "lifts up those who are bowed down" (Psalm 146:8) and builds them back up with a skill set that protects, such as wisdom, strength, confidence, and resilience, aside from having His continuous protection and willingness to "remain faithful forever" (Psalm 146:6). #AlwaysSafeAndSecure

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday
What needs do you feed?
Basic Needs are essential to your survival; and when they are not met, you risk malnourishment, starvation, and death.
Lacking the basics, on countless occasions, He recognized my needs and fed and nourished me with love, protection, care, compassion, strength, healing, kindness, prayer, presence, and much more. And, with this sustenance, I, now, every day, through His goodness and grace, am able to take this daily bread and "[distribute it] to anyone who [has] need" (Matthew 4:34-35), and, hopefully, leaves "no needy persons" (4:32, 34).
So, if you, too, are struggling to get your basics met, look no further, as He will never allow you to go hungry again. And, once you let Him feed you, might you also do the same for another "who [has] need" (4:34-35) and "give them something to eat" (14:16). #FillUp & #FeedOthers

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday
How well are you running your race?
Life, being a marathon, and not a sprint, can get very slick, exhausting, cold, lonely, and hard; and in order to endure the long distance, you are reminded to "run with perseverance the race marked out for [you], fixing [your] eyes on Jesus" (Hebrews 12:1-2). For when you do, He will be your compass leading the way so you will never "grow weary and lose heart" (12:3).
More than ever before, He has become my daily compass who helps me avoid the cracks, potholes, loose gravel, ice, hail, and rain that gets in my way now and again; and if you, too, have similar road hazards, might you let Him help with the navigation so you can remain focused and continue your race until completion. #RemainFaithfulAndFocused

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday
What treasure have you found?
Treasure is everywhere; and you do not have to dig to find it. But, you do need to pay close attention or you will miss it and come up empty handed.
Over the years, I missed out on a great deal of treasure that robbed me of my joy and happiness for others wrongdoings, until I gave it all to God. And, since then, He has given more treasure to me than I could ever ask or hope for.
So, if you, too, would like to find treasure that will provide you with endless riches, might you look to the Captain who "created all things" (Revelation 4:11). #YourTreasureChest

ANW’s Meaningful Monday
What commitments do you honor?
A promise is a commitment with expectations; and, if broken, trust, relationships, and personal integrity are damaged, if not ruined.
Struggling to commit to their own is Nursing. Before any Nursing career began, all Nurses pledged, before God, to practice in purity and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous; and over time, many have broken that commitment through uncivil acts without repercussion.
After experiencing this breach of contract, I have found someone who is helping me to re-establish my trust in the profession again. This person, The Lord, is someone who has never let me down and has always kept his word.
So, if your trust and faith is wavering or has been shattered by those who can not seem to honor their commitments, might you, too, look to someone who never breaks theirs. For “all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure” (John 3:3). #HonorYourContract

What kind of sacrifices do you make?
When you “live for what is right” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT), you sacrifice; and honoring you and me with his is Christ, as “He himself bore our sins in his body [so] that we might die to sins and live to righteousness; [and] by his wounds [we] have been healed” (2:24).
So, as you consider yours, may they all be ones that are “holy” (1:16) and filled with “good deeds” (2:12). #Selfless #Voluntary & #Intentional

ANW’s Soulful Saturday
How many more chairs do you need?
Families are meant to grow; and teaching us how to “increase in number; [and] fill the earth and subdue it” (Genesis 1:28) is God our Father. He began with Adam and Eve (see 2:20-23 KJV); and since then, has continued to make room for more, “the fatherless”, “widows” (Psalm 68:5), and anyone else that wants to join His family. He excludes no one.
Our table, by His grace, continues to overflow, not only with family, but friends who, over the years, have become family through work, sports, school, and recreation.
So, if you are “lonely” (Psalm 68:6), in need of companionship, or need to replenish, might you let God help you “increase in number” (Genesis 1:28) by inviting others to your table (see 2 Corinthians 5:20). #KeepAdding #NoLimit

ANW’s Fruitful Friday
How much real estate do you own?
You can never own enough property, especially beach front, aka character traits.
A few of God’s investments and property claims are his grace and mercy (see Nehemiah 8:31), which He gives to everyone every day.
Over the last seven years, God has been a great Financial Advisor and has helped me to increase, diversify, and grow my property value with 46 high yielding investments.
So, if you would like to grow your portfolio, might you, too, look to invest in someone who can help you make wise, long term investments. You are welcome to see mine @anursewarrior.com.

ANW’s Thoughtful Thursday
How generous are you?
Serving others is one of the most generous things you can do.
Being afforded the opportunity to do just that came this morning when ANW took 34 “Shields of Love”, baclavas, recycled, repurposed, and renewed from Harley Davidson t-shirts, of a former career EOD Tech and brother-in-law, Bruce McRae, to the EOD Foundation, in Niceville, Florida, to contribute and honor all services for their selfless sacrifice and service.
So, if you have the chance to bless another, just as the Lord “[meets] all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19), do it, because there is no greater feeling than to help another.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God’s speed to you all. #Army #Navy #AirForce #Marines & #CoastGuard
