Mexican hairless dog ~

Its hairlessness would make applying creams for aging reversal much easier than with canines with hair, for example.

Regarding reaching out to a fascinatingly relevant computer game for creating a realistic virtual earth as classrooms and STEM field sites - and with Augmented Reality - for WUaS students and instructors + wiki teachers and learners as volunteers, I also just reached out to the CEO of Niantic's Pokemon Go ...

I just reached out to John Hanke, the CEO of the computer game Pokemon Go, after finding a way to contact, with the following, and mentioning you as well.
After hearing the interesting MIT OCW talk this morning, I am interested further in how WUaS students can work with computer games and gaming - and relating to Google Maps / Street View with time slider with TensorFlow AI and Translate for example.

(Am glad too to have been able to see the Pokemon Go augmented reality feature working - it just kind of appeared - just after dark on a walk the night before last on my phone, and to have used this AR feature while walking yesterday late afternoon in situ with camera working in Google Street View I think - and I threw a Pokemon Go ball at a 'Dragon Air' Pokemon creature, and got something like a whopping 2400 points! Since I can't get into Pokemon Go in Bluestacks' emulator, I'm not using the App there, for your information re Pokemon Go's Terms of Service, but I may explore the Bluestacks' emulator in other Apps, such as "D&D Style Medieval Fantasy RPG" - Role Playing Games - and will hope that it doesn't appear as if I'm using Pokemon Go there; am interested in exploring Pokemon Go eventually on a larger screen, and such as in Bluestacks' emulator - and re Google Street View with time slider / Maps / Earth / creating or coding AR / Augmented Reality, and re some of the reasons below, for your information, as well. Regarding a question about an interface with edX and your platform, it would not be my colleague Ned, but we have members of the edX Solutions Architect team that can work with you develop a custom integration with your platform. This integration leverages our tool-kit of integration options, which can include course discovery, SSO, and the metadata for grading and student progress. Ultimately, the extent of what is possible would occur when meeting with our technical team.

To address the questions about MIT application process and survey, while MIT is a founder of edX, edX is a separate entity and we do not oversee the admission aspects of MIT. Apologies if I misunderstood that question or missed any others.

Iona (with Scots' name) is from the Lake District of England, and is producing her debut album, and I think is inspired by folk music too from the 1960s and 70s in becoming a songwriter and musician.

Iona seems pretty interested in traditional music, and is somehow traditional (out of the '60s somehow too) in a British sense
... and is Amanda somehow old fashioned (and even in a George Alexander MD sense ... and John Alexander MD too ... where A is at Duke presently ... )?
This Yogi Sunny Chung reference here - ... - seems like it could be "George Alexander MD" language too ... and even regarding my having said (to George, for example) I came out 'sunny' somehow genetically or in my temperament in my earliest years and growing up ... and re my Yoga too?

It's the travel aspect of heading to symphony - and to a lovely hall too - (or to Harbin or to Stanford) that's so nice, and yet not possible in SF Bay these days ... if one could 'pipe' lovely symphony into a laboratory in Canyon, would I head there for the music sans travel? Another way of asking Actual-Virtual Harbin project questions, Ma! :) Traveling is a key aspect of tourism ... and if one could walk on the Pacific Crest Trail in digital mask on a local trail around , or in laboratory in Canyon on step master, or at home on an elliptical machine (treadmill), is this travel too? :)

How are you? How is your Sunday going?
As I was driving over to the Moraga Farmer's Market near Canyon (since all 3 Berkeley Farmer's Markets are only open on Saturdays), Ed called. I was just driving down from Skyline Drive and about to get in the freeway, heading to look for more presents for him. As we finished talking - and almost in the tones of Moraga & Reed friend Byron's 'California' voice - I think he may have said "Buy Scott" or Bye Scott. Not sure what this might mean we're I to come into 670 Ridgecrest Canyon from the state of California, very speculatively. Ed had called me after sleeping very late and sounding well rested, buy not heading to Shoreline Park with his daughter Brianna at low tide to look at birds, since she was still sleeping.
Am writing outside the Berkeley Horticultural Nursery where we'll meet in 10 minutes. Then we'll head to Claremont Canyon around Berkeley and not Marin for a hike. Love you, Ed :) ... Have gotten a number of presents for him this morning, in addition to a handsome gift card (for aquatic plants? For his fishpond) and ladybug stone - 2 kinds of Apricot jam (one with peppers), a cranberry current bread, 3 little cactus plants for his kids, some cookies from Italy, - and 2:further cookies from the nearby Hopkins St bakery, a freak out cookie and a chocolate basoniot (sp?) The latter as kinds of wee birthday cakes :)

Good to have hiked with Ed. How was your weekend?
We talked about many things, some obliquely. .... On this stellar but steep hike at first, I was, toward the end of it, reminded of the Toftrees' meeting of Dad, Aunt Mary and Uncle Bruce, and also wondering why it occurred with paper documentation of their family history. (When was this - late '90s?) And why did they meet for this? ... Had Dad even somehow - hi-jinx-wise - 'run' me for US president without my knowing it? :) ... As Ed and I were walking down toward end of hike, and I was recalling this possible Outrageous and crazy happening, I said "Fuck!" ... But it's long enough ago to not be that stressful these days at all ... And how to navigate this at the time? ... 'the future is ahead ...' (as George was wont to say droll-ly ... A "head" ... Thinking into the future re navigation ...
Around this time with Ed, I also mentioned my relative lack of traveling since Dad's passing ... Dad facilitated great travel for me in so many ways, thanks to his free thinking - and his effectiveness at realizing ideas too, for his kids

And regarding too my past mutual loves, but also how I have thought it can be easier somehow in connecting for having kids if it's for more reasons than just (profound even) mutual love (between INDIVIDUALS, a focus of George's thinking too, & re agency) ... Which I've experienced but which didn't lead to having kids at the time (and which was some 3 decades ago) ... And 2) 'golden' re California (a word George talked about re this state and perhaps in talking with friends of his here compared with east coast) ... And the gold rush? The golden color of the grasses in 8 months of summer (originally for grazing cattle in the 2nd half of 1800s and first half of 1900s as forests fell?) ... Or the people too? En masse ... Surfing their lives away in the endless

sun :)

How are you? And how was your weekend?
Have you been able to explore other symphonies since one can choose to listen easily to many now - and for developing reasons even? Seems like seeing friends at the PSO these days physically is more complicated and difficult fornerly - although I bet you've seen some / many in video conferencing over the past nearly-full year. Why listen to symphony whether it be physically at the PSO - BESIDES THE GREAT MUSIC - or virtually to the PSO or other great orchestras (Apart from friends there too), I wonder?
I've listened to a little chamber music and some symphonic music in recent weeks and months, some Baroque and for its moving qualities in addition to its intellectually interesting qualities for example, - and re excellence of the music

in the way it's played (and in its composition:) in particular. How about you? I listen to relatively little radio like KQED but choose the pieces I'd like to listen to. On the one hand I don't hear new treats like I might on radio or in Symphony, but I am moved more than going to Symphony for new music that doesn't move me that much .... And yet I can be intellectually moved at Symphony with new music in a way that's different, say, with music I choose specifically to move me

Just recorded the whole Piobaireachd piece, "The Desperate Battle of the Birds," - and am listening to it now (it's a 12:46 minute recording made in the Audacity App or program) - and I'm ok with (I like them well enough) the piece's Urlar or Ground (the first movement with motif), and the first variations (as a I make way forward with Piobaireachd) ... but as I recall while playing, the penultimate ...

I wonder if this could be possible visa-wise ... And whether I'd also avoid some youth hostels there near Fukushima for example ... :)
Have only been to Japan on Semester at Sea, in 1999, and to the south island ... might be a good focus ... :)

(Just received an email from Navin Doshi regarding the energy bill ... it's curious, since I'm paying rent ... but could have implications too for moving out, and even back to Canyon, somehow, - and now also having heard from Ed last night ... am wondering with this email and what Ed said on his birthday walk about how Kaiser Permanente thinks about psychiatry ... with the 3 SSSs - Stress, Sleep, Sexuaiity ... with very little family therapy too, for example, or psychotherapy I think, ... what role this place where I'm living could play in the illegal sex trade even in the SF Bay Area, and whether my moving back to Canyon, and into 670A Ridgecrest, could stop the illegal sex trade, for example, with minors and innocents as victims ???????)

Were I somehow to move back into Canyon where I was before, in that 3 dwelling house, energy bills would probably be ginormous! And so would have to probably rent out, if I were in a position to do so, the other 2 dwellings to cover the energy bills ... Rental income, as well as house ownership, could be good ... but high energy bills wouldn't necessarily be good, although having electricity etc is good :)

I have a fairly recent election that in Pittsburgh, it's possible to get houses through the state of Pennsylvania, or Allegheny County or similar, that have for some reason come into the state's or the city's ownership, and that these could be quite inexpensive, but in various states of repair, sometimes derelict or similar. I wonder if the place in Canyon at 670 Ridgecrest could somehow be in a similar position, but it's actually in pretty good shape (and someone named Travis, a RN nurse started living in mentally ill landlord's place 9-12 months before I moved out, who could be an interpreter to the state of the unwell owners' thinking with regard with what might come next if they are somehow being evicted by the state for criminal reasons for example - all very speculatively ... but could be good to have someone on the ground in communication with Ed even, for example) ... On the other hand, if this isn't the case, staying here some months longer still seems possible ???? ... but where to abide after that, I wonder?

Hi Ma,

It's very nice to talk with you, and thanks for the 'check in' regarding our talks, - and also re my actual-virtual Harbin project, and checking in at the gate there regularly, and writing the big "Naked Harbin Ethnography" book esp.
Waiting to hear about either extending the lease or possibly moving back into a 'cleaned up' Canyon, in a few emails to both Navin and Ed. :) California's a very curious place in some of these regards, and regarding law breaking and scoff laws - and by lawyers, Canyonites, landlords, MDs???, police, and many ... If by some way, I could come into house ownership out of all these mistakes, and even in the name of protecting kids against criminals like previous mentally ill landlords - this could be good. Staying tuned. What are your thoughts about this? Talk with you over the weekend in particular.

Iona (with Scots' name) is from the Lake District of England, and is producing her debut album, and I think is inspired by folk music too from the 1960s and 70s in becoming a songwriter and musician.

Iona seems pretty interested in traditional music, and is somehow traditional (out of the '60s somehow too) in a British sense
... and is Amanda somehow old fashioned (and even in a George Alexander MD sense ... and John Alexander MD too ... where Amanda is at Duke presently ... )?

When I search on William Broderick, Audubon, PA, I curiously get in Google Search "VISITATION - Blessed Virgin Mary Church" as first image suggesting that Amanda could be Catholic, and not of Protestant heritage or background ... which makes me a bit wary of Amanda ... what could visitation here mean? Am not seeking a life partner who is universally open (re Catholicism???) to visitations, for example! And I don't see a picture for anyone. She's far, anyway ...
And I heard back from my landlord Navin further, just now, and he's further flexible about extending the lease 3 months or 12 months, and to talk about this toward the end of the month ... Good to learn, and regarding his last sentence "We wish you all the best for whatever decision you will have to take at the end of this month." Could he know of something, and even regarding federal authorities (Pin, Pat, Tim, et al????) about my making a decision at the end of the month even to take the Canyon house, I wonder? Am waiting and will see what I learn in the next few days :)

As a Friend / friend, who values simplicity - and re your 'keep it simple' twice recently - management questions could be part of this focus, and see my email just now to Navin in some of these regards, and regarding keeping energy bills 'simple' or at least low too! Navin's a pretty good manager and landlord and communicator ... and I learn a lot from him re even being a possible landlord. Thoughts, Ma? :)
It's the travel aspect of heading to symphony - and to a lovely hall too - (or to Harbin or to Stanford) that's so nice, and yet not possible in SF Bay these days ... if one could 'pipe' lovely symphony into a laboratory in Canyon, would I head there for the music sans travel? Another way of asking Actual-Virtual Harbin project questions, Ma! :) Traveling is a key aspect of tourism ... and if one could walk on the Pacific Crest Trail in digital mask on a local trail around , or in laboratory in Canyon on step master, or at home on an elliptical machine (treadmill), is this travel too? :)

HI Navin,
Thanks again for your email. I shut off the heater radiator on wheels that you put in your suite originally for use, again last night. A new energy-efficient heater for the next tenant - would this make sense? And I have been shutting off my computer laptop most nights, but will start to do so every night now. All other appliances and lights are off at night anyway - including smart TV. (And no light bulbs have gone out while I've been here, although there was one missing in the kitchen from the beginning, - but it seems that energy-efficient bulbs could be another step here to lowering the energy bill for your second dwelling when it's occupied for months on end continually ? - and for your next renter, and when some existing bulbs go out? All the odd size fixtures however can make finding energy-efficient bulbs a bit of a challenge)
Thanks again (6 months later) for your flexibility on the lease looking ahead - a lease for 3 months or a year could work also. Talk to you around March 1 about all of this further ... A beautiful house in Canyon with 1.5 acres ... even with complexity ... especially if it might also end possible law breaking, creation of victims, and crimes there into the future (especially with federal authorities' support, in addition to California law enforcement support ... since I had called the police twice around last August about law-breaking into my former place by the former unwell mentally ill landlord) ... could be an opportunity!
Sounds good re security deposit arrangement. If for some reason, I am able to move back into Canyon 94516, after one of these time periods - and when I begin the move back - I might even explore asking if Jesus or his friends could do the move for me this time, and explore too whether he knows of someone who could clean your "beachy basement bungalow" place to the way it was when I moved in too. It would be interesting too, re Jesus, if he and friends were interested in more yard work, and handymen carpentry work, for them to possibly see 670 Ridgecrest in Canyon itself, - if they might be interested in yard and garden etc. work there too in the future. What do you think about this?

How are you? How is your Sunday going?
As I was driving over to the Moraga Farmer's Market near Canyon (since all 3 Berkeley Farmer's Markets are only open on Saturdays), Ed called. I was just driving down from Skyline Drive and about to get in the freeway, heading to look for more presents for him. As we finished talking - and almost in the tones of Moraga & Reed friend Byron's 'California' voice - I think he may have said "Buy Scott" or Bye Scott. Not sure what this might mean we're I to come into 670 Ridgecrest Canyon from the state of California, very speculatively. Ed had called me after sleeping very late and sounding well rested, buy not heading to Shoreline Park with his daughter Brianna at low tide to look at birds, since she was still sleeping.
Am writing outside the Berkeley Horticultural Nursery where we'll meet in 10 minutes. Then we'll head to Claremont Canyon around Berkeley and not Marin for a hike. Love you, Ed :) ... Have gotten a number of presents for him this morning, in addition to a handsome gift card (for aquatic plants? For his fishpond) and ladybug stone - 2 kinds of Apricot jam (one with peppers), a cranberry current bread, 3 little cactus plants for his kids, some cookies from Italy, - and 2:further cookies from the nearby Hopkins st bakery, a freak out cookie and a chocolate basoniot (sp?) The latter as kinds of wee birthday cakes :)

Good to have hiked with Ed. How was your weekend?
We talked about many things, some obliquely. .... On this stellar but steep hike at first, I was, toward the end of it, reminded of the Toftrees' meeting of Dad, Aunt Mary and Uncle Bruce, and also wondering why it occurred with paper documentation of their family history. (When was this - late '90s?) And why did they meet for this? ... Had Dad even somehow - hijinx-wise - 'run' me for US president without my knowing it? :) ... As Ed and I were walking down toward end of hike, and I was recalling this possible Outrageous and crazy happening, I said "Fuck!" ... But it's long enough ago to not be that stressful these days at all ... And how to navigate this at the time? ... 'the future is ahead ...' (as George was wont to say droll-ly ... A "head" ... Thinking into the future re navigation ...
Around this time with Ed, I also mentioned my relative lack of traveling since Dad's passing ... Dad facilitated great travel for me in so many ways, thanks to his free thinking - and his effectiveness at realizing ideas too, for his kids

And could Ed have somehow been talking with Caleb MD? ... in MENTIONING 2 words ... 1) 'arranged' re marriages (a word I had talked about with George and the Alexanders before ) ... Happens eg in Indian cultures still I think some (re different kinds of cultural information sharing among groups re what I'm familiar with) ... And regarding too my past mutual loves, but also how I have thought it can be easier somehow in connecting for having kids if it's for more reasons than just (profound even) mutual love (between INDIVIDUALS, a focus of George's thinking too, & re agency) ... Which I've experienced but which didn't lead to having kids at the time (and which was some 3 decades ago) ... And 2) 'golden' re California (a word George talked about re this state and perhaps in talking with friends of his here compared with east coast) ... And the gold rush? The golden color of the grasses in 8 months of summer (originally for grazing cattle in the 2nd half of 1800s and first half of 1900s as forests fell?) ... Or the people too? En masse ... Surfing their lives away in the endless

sun :)
Good to visit with Ed to celebrate his birthday ... Am still circulating in seeking life partner ... Not sure what's developing with Canyon, (and even with federal authorities) ... Or what role Ed might be playing in all of this ... So good to be able to stay here possibly 3 months or 12 months's longer too in communication with Navin over the weekend :)

Ian Whitelaw's Guidelines for Interpreting Piobaireachd

1. Establish a beat (nonmensurally)! The 1st is strong, the 4th is the strongest. (For Piobairreachds in ¾, the third note is the strongest beat).

2. Show contrast between the long and short notes, emphasizing the long notes and really shortening (de-emphasizing) the short notes.

3. Watch for mirrors? - where the same theme is played on different notes. (Call and answer).

4. If you're already on a note before a cadence, give the following note, after the grace note, the time, to link phrases together.

5. When playing a 'he heran' (canntaireachd for ...) always hold the E.

6. If the note has embellishments, accent it! Hold it.

7. Give space longer to a note before and after the cadence, and before and after a double echo.

8. Always hold the A after a birl.

9. Two notes are never the same, and usually the 2nd note is longer than the first.

10. If the note has a doubling on it, you always hold it.

11. When a cut note is the first beat in the bar, make the first note of bar absolutely on the beat.

12. In a Braebach (Piobaireachd) tune, in a crunluath singling, count to 3 before playing the crunluath, and make the following two notes even.

13. In a Braebach doubling, count to two before playing the crunluath movement.

14. In the taorluath movement, play the melody notes in this order: long, longer, longest. Make each note a different length, and make the third the longest!

At about 2:55 a new tune, Bo Diddley / Mountain Jam, begins with this Allman Bros from '73 ... same notes work with adding a few others
I have my other two fairly new chanters nearby - in D mixolydian, and B flat mixolydian ... but haven't found a way in yet with them ...

About 3:21 with https://youtu.be/DNAmXz8kc6I a new song begins - is this Saved My LIfe or is this "Blues' Jam"? :) - and it sounds to be pitched a bit higher, so slipped in my B Flat mix chanter ... and some notes are on ... cool ... same 4 notes' fingering pretty much, but which are different notes! (and I won't get into numbering them 1-9 at this time, since all 3 chanters' notes' names would be different, the 1 on the A mix chanter would be G with all fingers on holes, the 1 on D chanter would be C, and the 1 on the B flat chanter would be A, I think) for initial noodling ... not quite so many notes are on noodling-wise, but still fun to explore with ... Good memory, Scott. Yes we spoke with you during our visit to Harbin Hot Springs, but did not meet. We are still in north Idaho with several Quaker meetings from here to Missoula on zoom, and AHA American Humanist association and more. Exhausted from our own projects locally, but the pandemic seems to be winding down in local statistics. Checked into NTF and see only your writings for some time back. What has happened to the overflowing discussion that was going on in past years? Glad you are still active with the World University effort, but distressed to see the NTF talk so vacant now.

I saw the news that Harbin Hot Springs burned badly one or even 2 times since we were there. We have not been back after finding their dog policy very tough to work with, but we continued to visit Borrego Springs in Anza Borrego Desert State park. But not this year, virus travel is difficult and we have much work to do here.

Oh yes indeed, had forgotten that. Susan Drinkard was a local publications author and reviewed our solar business way back in 2003, that was just before we retired. The business still goes on mostly all new people there.

Yup, I was born on Long Island but also spent high school years in Connecticut and Boston. Followed my parents to California for a time but escaped to Idaho where we bought 20 acres for $4500 and started the business. Much better life in rural areas off the beaten path. But time keeps moving on and here we ll are watching ourselves aging. Life Goes On! (for a while).

2.2 That filtering is related to the fact that one day somebody asked you to stop mailing them.

2.3 I like communicating in groups, but e-mail is not designed for that. I could certainly help you to invite the people to whom you mailed your previous message to build conversations with us using a more useful service.

In general, when you want communication over the Internet to go better, you can ask me to help you to make useful changes.

An example of a good service that you're using: Google Workspace.

It seems like WUaS will be seeking full-time undergraduate students (at the top of their classes from all 200 countries, in part, - in addition to the creative students) interested in 4 years' degrees (re retention questions, and who might enjoy studying even more than a 'full load.' I hope this email finds you well. Just following up on our recent conversation in videography. In anticipating WUaS Monthly Business Meeting in 2 weeks, and matriculating 150 undergraduate students potentially as early as May 1, but probably September 1, 2021, I'm writing to confirm that what you said is that WUaS would have to pay edX about $101,000 to interoperate our developing platform with edX's dashboard ($50,000), and $17,000 (or $350 per student per year) for each 50 students we matriculate, and get grades for, as we proceed with probably BPPE licensing and WASC accrediting. Is this accurate? Newly, WUaS is seeking to plan for 4 possible PhD students too (taking possibly 7 years to complete their PhDs in English; 2 from India possibly, 1 from Morocco, and 1 from Indonesia).
And since WUaS doesn't yet have a relationship with MIT's departments, in what ways would it be possible for these prospective WUaS PhD students to apply directly through MIT Departments to matriculate at WUaS? Thank you for adding my email address to your mailing list and the twitter link too. I just finished viewing the 2/8/20 News Meeting of WUaS with Friz Lebowsky in its entirety. A remarkable conversation on too many points for me to be able to keep this brief, but please know it spoke to me in a very profound way.
In addition to my Linkedin profile I would like to give you an understanding about the depth of my desire to facilitate human understanding and expansion. My documentary experience has been around agriculture and farming. Currently I'm working with a producer on a project that will likely take another year or more to complete. Part of this project speaks to the experiences of soldiers in and out of wartime. Having grown up in the 1970's, I have long been interested in telling stories about the emotional, human aspects of war. About 15 years ago, I read a book that illustrated the human destruction war really represents; Michael Norman's These Good Men. I had to let the option lapse because I was unable to find the right partners to work on the screenplay I had wanted to write based on the work.
As my documentary work continued, it led me to know many USDA "in the field" scientists. It frustrated me to watch them put 10, 20 or more years of work into the new technologies they developed to advance agriculture for it to end up languishing on the shelf because nobody knew about the work. The problem had everything to do with the centralized nature/structure of the USDA, etc; it was essentially a closed loop. Finding ways to un-close loops seems to be a theme in my life. What these scientists needed was to be connected directly to those funders who recognized the value of their work. By 2010 when I was invited to represent the Food, Science and Technology group (then a nascent online platform) at The Global Leaders I saw an opportunity to help change this. I wrote, developed, and was vetted to submit my proposal to the first Obama Administration. The proposal was structured to let The Global Leaders Platform serve as an online dating site of sorts between the USDA and ARS Office of Technology Transfer and qualified funders at The Global Leaders. After approval I worked with the USDA ARS Office of Technology Transfer for 13 months and was barely able to get beyond conference calls. The desire on part of the USDA/ARS was there, funders were excited, but the nature of the circuitous, centralized governmental system prevented its success. This was the impetus for me to start Earth Twine which we can discuss at some future point. One thing it might be useful to know about Earth Twine is that our goal was to utilize blockchain and its technologies to open and improve the way food supply chains communicated with one another and its customers.
Between now and March 8th I will continue to review the materials you have shared and will look forward to speaking together then.

Thanks for your email, Nancy. CC-4 MIT OpenCourseWare-centric wiki World University and School isn't really focused on blockchain for food technology ... so I'm not sure we're in alignment here. When we talk on the phone - would this be better? - we could explore why further. (The WUaS planned law schools in each of ~200 countries' online may particularly have a human rights' focus, for example, in addition to an information technologies' innovations' focus, such as with developing robotics). What might be your longer term vision regarding our communications, if I might ask please? Our CC-4 MIT OCW-centricity, and developing a track record, on the way to becoming the online Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Oxbridge in all 200 countries and in their official and main languages, as well as an online Quaker Haverford / Swarthmore is part of ours, as well as related high aiming ethical developments, including law-wise (and potentially emerging out of Stanford Law, since MIT has neither a law school nor a medical school and thus no OpenCourseWare) and as WUaS seeks to offer free-to-students' online degrees in all 200 countries' official / main languages - Bachelor, PhD - Law, MD, - and IB.

Thanks for sharing the twitter link from Digital Currency Initiative Neha Narula - I don't follow but will.
I have followed the blockchain space since I first learned about it a dozen or so years ago. As I mentioned, Earth Twine was meant to utilize the technology to apply it to food supply systems. This said, the last public statement I made about blockchain was in Ecuador two years ago. I had been invited to speak to the Global Aquaculture Alliance about the subject of whether or not the seafood supply chain was ready for blockchain. I stand by my emphatic "no" to this question, but that does not mean I do not support the technology. I continue to engage in conversations with those in blockchain because despite all its problems, I believe this technology can and will be good for mankind. Viewing your 2/8/21 meetup, when you put forth the idea that an; "interesting way to possibly get a cryptocurrency into China that could even be used as a kind of reward not to break human rights", I was, lack of a better word gobsmacked by how profoundly powerful this was to me.
Such an ever changing environment blockchain. I'm in a constant state of "keep up" because in the end, I'm not a coder. I am that type that has just enough technical knowledge to keep me dangerous, hence the continuing education. I re-engaged with the blockchain space last March when LA Blockchain invited me to their first Tuesday night "Blockchain + Booze" events. I'm a fairly regular visitor because it feeds my need to know who's doing what in blockchain and have had some fantastic conversations there too. It should be an interesting Blockchain & Booze event tomorrow night, Miami Mayor Suarez will speak about why Miami is becoming a major crypto city.
