0WUaS has reached out with some WUaS email inquiries to Anant Agarwal, as edX CEO, founder and MIT Professor of EECS, and Sanjay Sarma, as VP of MIT Open Learning (with whom I've met videoconferencing for ~30 minutes), and President Reif, as president of MIT, and Google Chairman Hennessey as Anant's Stanford PhD professor, and President of Stanford for 16 years, and Chairman of Alphabet too, and Larry Viehland, as Chairman of the Board of CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School (& WUaS), and CFO and acting CFO of both wings, and as 3 legal entities, of WUaS, here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/04/forester-pass-edx-wuas-impasse.html (which contains our WUaS edX representative, Matthew's email of April 6, 2021 to WUaS), where he writes that edX is 'standing by' regarding WUaS legal partnering and subsequent WUaS matriculating PhD and 4-year Bachelor degree students on 9/1/21 developments, for free-to-students' best STEAM CC-4 OpenCourseWare-centric online degrees, first in English.

1WUaS, in partnering with edX, will explore further how edX will address questions of WUaS Licensing and becoming Accredited first in the state of California, for free-to-students' online best STEAM OCW-centric Bachelor and PhD degrees. 

WUaS has registered for a Stanford EPIC conference in mid-May - Stanford Virtual EPIC Symposium: Integrating Global Topics into Community College Curricula 2021 https://sgs.stanford.edu/events/2021-epic-symposium-integrating-global-topics-community-college-curricula - and will explore how California Community Colleges have developed online with accreditation and licensing with regards to their existing accreditation in California over the past March 2020-2021 year, during the coronavirus pandemic. 
In addition to WUaS's best STEAM CC-4 OpenCourseWare-centricity - eg - https://ocw.mit.edu/ - where WUaS will hire graduate students to teach to this OCW, it seems that California Community Colleges' online resources from over the past year could be a further remarkable resource with which to develop for online accreditation and licensing, and in partnering with edX, especially.


2WUaS G-Suite for Education
In the developing edX-WUaS partnering documents, WUaS continues to plan to code for matriculating WUaS students from all ~200 countries, and speakers of all 7,139 known living languages.

In the process, WUaS plans to code brainstorming-wise for all 7.8 billion people on the planet as wiki teachers and learners, and for a variety of other reasons - especially these 5: https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2019/12/wild-pomegranate-burchellia-bubalina.html.

This will develop further as edX integrates its dashboard (for grades, matriculation info, etc.) into WUaS G-Suite for Education.

Again, WUaS G-Suite for Education will also be for reimbursement to World Univ & Sch from all 200 countries' departments of education for free to students' CC-4 OCW-centric best STEAM PhD, Bachelor, Law, MD and IB degrees, first in English, from which WUaS will 'pass through' what WUaS will pay to edX for courses per student per year. 



3Regarding edX-WUaS partnering, WUaS is seeking on our initial edX-WUaS registration page for free-to-students' PhD or Bachelor degrees - something like - https://authn.edx.org/register - and also to post legal notices (in addition to an honor code which WUaS students would assent to - paralleling edX's or Reed College's Honor Codes ... and eventually with licensing and accreditation planning too) - in order to protect WUaS students for example, as well as to protect WUaS from student's illegal activity for example, too and in other ways too. Per Larry Viehland's suggestion, I found the free open Libre Office 2, and explored making forms regarding our initial edX-WUaS registration page for free-to-students' PhD or Bachelor degrees. WUaS is also exploring related possibilities regarding Stanford EPIC (above) and similar coding in the state of California. 
As I wrote to Larry: 
I downloaded and installed Libre Office 2 for the Mac, which you suggested in WUaS Monthly Business Meeting, as an alternative for forms compared with G Suite for Education - but in which I think it makes much sense to explore Google Translate in multiple languages.

Having followed up in the past few weeks with some WUaS email inquiries to Anant Agarwal, as edX CEO, founder and MIT Professor of EECS, and Sanjay Sarma, as VP of MIT Open Learning (with whom I've met videoconferencing for ~30 minutes), and President Reif, as president of MIT, and Google Chairman Hennessey as Anant's Stanford PhD professor, and President of Stanford for 16 years, and Chairman of Alphabet too, and Larry Viehland (whom you may know by now), as Chairman of the Board of CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School (& WUaS), and CFO and acting CFO of both wings, and as 3 legal entities, of WUaS, here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/04/forester-pass-edx-wuas-impasse.html (which contains your email of April 6, 2021, Matthew) - and below. I haven't heard back directly from Anant (or any of these other leaders so far) yet, Matthew, but am wondering if you and Anant might have communicated about these questions of an "edX-WUaS Impasse?"

While WUaS can potentially PREPAY for our approximately ~5 prospective students for this autumn (anticipating dramatically higher numbers when we can get a WUaS registration URL from edX) - and newly for PhD programs, WUaS still doesn't have, and can't obtain the $50,000 you've mentioned to integrate the edX dashboard in the WUaS G-Suite for Education (anticipating WUAS coding for all 7.8 billion people on the planet). (WUaS is registered for a Stanford EPIC workshop on May 22, 2021 regarding Stanford Community Colleges too, and globally - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/04/forester-pass-edx-wuas-impasse.html?m=0 - which could become a remarkable set of academic resources for edX and Stanford to build together with, and in WUaS G-Suite for Education). However, in our emailing recently, the communications from edX regarding the edX-WUaS partnering seem to be changing and contradictory with each email. WUaS continues to miss opportunities (and over months too) for launching and letting our prospective students plan to matriculate (now on 9/1/21, having missed our May 1, 2021 goal for offering preliminary courses via edX to our matriculating PhD and Bachelor degrees students). So I'm reaching out to you as edX CEO to seek to prepay for our WUaS students and thus our edX-WUaS legal partnering documents please too.

If WUaS were to prepay edX for our prospective ~5 WUaS students (for both PhD and Bachelor degree programs, taking a first WUaS year of edX courses, toward WUaS degrees) with our edX-WUaS agreed-upon $349 per student per year for unlimited edX courses, could we please receive these documents soon (and since WUaS doesn't have $50,000 to pay for an edX dashboard integration into WUaS G-Suite for Education)? As you may know CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch is planning online major universities, offering Bachelor, PhD, Law, MD and IB high school degrees, in each of all ~200 countries in their official and main languages, and also wiki schools for open teaching and learning for speakers of all 7,139 known living languages, - and, brainstorming-wise, to code for all 7.8 Billion people on the planet as wiki teachers and learners (and for a number of other reasons too) - so the growth potential for edX is enormous.

I wrote one of my Reed College qualifying exams in Religion (with both social science focus, as well as feminist theology focus) on the so-called 'problem of evil' (an old debate from Augustine, Aquinas and more recently John Hicks' ) ... but not from an atheist or non-theist (let alone NtF Friendly/Quaker) perspective.

But Cosmic Skeptic Atheist Alex offers new ways (for me) for addressing such questions, and potentially in a non-theistically Friendly way ... Alex's opening begins at 22 minutes. 
I find that my more current research interests focus on the ethnography of actual-virtual Harbin Hot Springs, where Harbin is also 2 churches (HCC, and NACOB) interestingly (but where actual Harbin is now closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and before closed due to the Valley Fire of September 2015 in Lake county CA). My research focuses partly on the ethnography of meditation in warm pools - with parallels to sitting in Quaker Silent Meeting - and even with developing brain research (where philosophical theodicy questions for me are something of the past (1983)). 
Appreciating this Oxford debate philosophical thinking and structure too, (where Quakers have only engaged modestly in debates eg https://www.jstor.org/stable/2710672?seq=1 and https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/may/07/debate-on-god-language-doesnt-mean-all-quakers-are-losing-faith ) ... and NtFs haven't yet engaged in questions of debate that I know of (and anthropology / ethnography is a very different form of inquiry, than this kind of philosophy :).

EdX could be a great team for WUaS's team to collaborate with - perhaps if they moved out of their 'lean' organization thinking, and into a growing organization mindset. Engaging edX's founders, Harvard and MIT especially has much merit for WUaS here.

The internet News' media hasn't been warning about the risks of non-FDA approved vaccines at the molecular level, I think, too. 

Hopefully aging reversal genetic drug therapies will undergo extensive clinical trials by the FDA.

It would be great to collaborate with the best organization designing genetic therapies - with their collection of knowledgeable bodyminds - and could Pfizer be this (in comparison with Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson and Johnson)? To be seen.

As WUaS waits to hear back from Anant Agarwal (and Rafael Reif, Sanjay Sarma, and John Hennessey), am hopeful that they can not only plan for WUaS PhD and 4 year Bachelor degrees, but also re-focus a little on creating enjoyable edX courses - with grades. This would be for edX dashboard integration into WUaS G-Suite for Education. This will help much with WUaS retention in a 4 year free-to-students' CC-4 MIT OCW-centric Bachelor's degree program for ex. While Charlie Nesson's JuryX, edX, HarvardX course, which I took in 2016, is one model for this for me, much has changed since then. And perhaps Stanford via John Hennessey - as well as even virtual Worlds can help - which could be yet another big change for edX, in addition to planning for PhD and 4 year Bach degrees. 
edX-WUaS partnering will likely involve other major (earthquakey) and exciting changes for edX and education, - so I'm glad that edX's other founders, MIT and Harvard, are also involved. This could possibly help focus how edX targets its academic courses for PhD and Bachelor degrees - esp. if they could draw WUaS matriculating students' from Harvard (where more than 50,000 students applied this year, and some 1800 were accepted) and MIT applicants via Bill Fitzsimmons, Dean of Harvard Admissions, for example.

However, in our emailing recently, the communications from edX regarding the edX-WUaS partnering seem to be changing and contradictory with each email. WUaS continues to miss opportunities (and over months too) for launching and letting our prospective students plan to matriculate (now on 9/1/21, having missed our May 1, 2021 goal for offering preliminary courses via edX to our matriculating PhD and Bachelor degrees students). So I'm reaching out to you as edX CEO to seek to prepay for our WUaS students and thus our edX-WUaS legal partnering documents please too.

Stanford Virtual EPIC Symposium: Integrating Global Topics into Community College Curricula 2021

Dear Larry, Ed, Janie, 

Here's the form itself for the Stanford Virtual EPIC Symposium: Integrating Global Topics into Community College Curricula 2021. 'EPIC' stands for 'Education Partnership for Internationalizing Curriculum (EPIC)' - and it's based at Stanford (https://sgs.stanford.edu/outreach/community-college/fellowships). 

I'd think they'd have the resources for online grading, and for scaling to 7.8 billion people, brainstorming-wise, and in WUaS  G-Suite for Education, and even for planning for some approaches to initial licensing and accreditation in California - and that CC-4 MIT OpenCourseWare courses with graduate student instructors that WUaS hires, could be a way to connect further, and develop, with high achieving online WUaS students, and for an amazing array of STEM subjects and PhD and Bachelor degree programs.

Dear Elinor, 
I just filled out this survey, and also have some questions about a Drosophila genetics' project I'm interested in. I'm interested in this particular project with regards to developing CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School and also regarding an Actual-Virtual realistic virtual earth for genetics (see below) - and for longevity, and aging reversal, questions especially. I think your knowledge could help shape this further in great and fascinating ways. 
Below are the questions I asked in your January talk, as well as my responses to the survey questions I just finished. 
Am exploring the idea of heading back to Cuttyhunk island, Massachusetts (where my family has a home), from the SF Bay Area, from around June 28th until August 4th or 5th or so, and wonder if you might like to meet for a cup of coffee sometime? I'd like to see the Worcester Art Museum as well as the Ecotarium (if they will be open during the coronavirus pandemic), and wonder if one of these places could even be good to meet at?

Great question! In a sense, the natural world already did that, millions of years ago. Researchers think that somewhere between 5 and 8% of our genome came from ancient viruses.
