Alt Summit Recap Photos + Video

It was the first time Alt Summit was held in somewhere other than Salt Lake City, and somehow very last minute, I scored a ticket. Rachel had mentioned she was going and then my friend Alisha said she was going as well. The ticket was just under $500 and somehow through the amazing community that is Instagram, a friend of a friend connected me to a friend who was selling their ticket. She had promised it to someone else and it turned out that person backed out so I got it! Then I shared the news with Mixbook that I would be attending, and we worked out an appearance in their booth to sign a limited amount of books and for me to hand letter name tags using Tombow markers. Since I was traveling there, and didn't know what to do with the marker set afterwards, Tombow, Mixbook and I decided to give it away. Alisha also mentioned they had one more spot in the house she rented, so  It all seemed to fall into place! Even more so that the moment we decided to do some photos at The Parker, we got stopped by someone saying that a very large animal was about to pass through and we couldn't take photos, but it was an elephant!! Gray Malin was there shooting and he could not have been nicer!

Live the adventure | Just go for it

There's a lot going on behind the scenes over here and a lot of adventures I've shared on Instagram as of late. I've been really trying hard to focus on the things that are most important to me, but sometimes I feel completely overwhelmed. Part of me knows that I have a tendency to take on too much, but the other part of me can't help it! I'm trying my best to balance a lot of things (most of them very exciting and very good) but some things that are unexpected and have knocked me off of my feet a bit. Please know that I would love to update this blog more often than I do and have written many a blog posts in my head while stuck in traffic or on an airplane or even in the shower.

Part of living the life of my dreams is being able to share what I love. I'm dreaming about BIG things coming up. I may need some help and I may need to expand Team Tangerine. So while this isn't exactly a job posting, I wanted to just throw it out into the Universe that if the right person (possibly people) came my way, we may have some work for them to do. Maybe the kind of work that will be someone's dream job and perhaps posting this tiny request on my blog will be just the way to do it.

Mexico City with ma familia

The three of us took a trip to Mexico City at the end of last year. It was our second time there and we loved it. The drone captured the shot of us in bed at the St. Regis. We loved staying there for numerous reasons. It's gorgeous, centrally located, and the service is top notch. JC found a good deal in between Christmas and New Years, and it's hard to say no to a good deal at a beautiful hotel like this one. I would say my favorite part was our butler Antonio, but really it was just spending time exploring the city and hanging out with my favorite big and (not so) little guy. Room service breakfast nearly every morning was pretty amazing too.

Jack's BIG BOY BED

When I was little, I was a total tomboy and I was completely enamored with the idea of having a car bed. My obsession with cars was fueled by not only the little cars I would play with instead of dolls, but also a show called Knight Rider. I was certain that if I could sleep in a "car," my dreams would be that much cooler! So once Jack outgrew his crib (as seen in this house tour post), I knew exactly what kind of bed he would get...

Imagine my excitement when Step2 offered to send Jack the bed of my (I mean his) dreams! How awesome is that?! You may have seen others similar to this one, but this blue color is a Step2 product exclusively available at Walmart. I couldn't wait for JC to get it all set up in his room and let him take it for a "test drive!"

Luckily he was just as excited about it as I was! He even helped JC figure out all the sticker and decal placement while I was out of town. Even though his room is quite small, I'll now often find him playing or reading on his bed throughout the day.

We decided to move our library cart of children's books from the playroom to Jack's bedroom so he could reach for his favorite stories while laying in his awesome new bed. 

He loves showing it off to people when they come over. "Do you want to come and see my bed?!" Which I suppose is only cute and acceptable at a certain age. So far the best part to me is that while he knows how to get out of his bed, but chooses instead to call for me or "DADA!" to get him up in the morning. Also the best news for you all is that the bed is currently on sale!

Creativation (formerly CHA) 2017

So many awesome moments from Creativation. As much fun as it is seeing brand new products, it's the connecting with people that tops it all off. Perhaps that's why I couldn't make the video any shorter, but I hope you enjoy it and feel like you were right there with us!

Plan With Me March

Hello friends! I have a new Plan With Me video featuring my Bullet Journal up on my YouTube channel and I think it's my favorite one yet! I strayed a bit from my previous grayscale and black and white phase. Oh and I usually don't care too much about stamp ink bleed through, but I found an amazing ink pad that doesn't bleed through and I am in love. I would just recommend ample drying time. I incorporated a lot of color this time (thank you, Tombow pens!) and I introduced lots of collage elements, as well. Let me know what you think!

Sticker Subscription, Yes Please!

I don't know about you but I have always been a fan of stickers. Puffy stickers, letter stickers, scratch and sniff stickers... you name it, I love it! Luckily, the apple didn't fall too far from the tree as Jack is equally as obsessed.
