LEADERSHIP SHIFTS: Responding by Faith to an Unprecedented Move of God

I know from experience that one of the most difficult transitions a Christian leader can make is to shift from an old model of ministry into a new one. 

In matters of faith, those who have been gloriously converted and are lovingly devoted to the ministries or missions God Himself led them to, may have trouble releasing the old to take hold of the new! 

In many ways, that is exactly what the Body of Christ is being asked to do in this season.

Like a Master chess player, God has the right to reposition or refocus His people at will - HIS will - for a maximum benefit to all. The best response we can give Him in times like these is an unqualified “Yes, Lord!”

DIVINE SHIFTS
Significant shifts into new types of ministry come with unique challenges:

~ They may not look like God at first. 

~ They may not feel like God because they seem so “out of the box” or unusual.

~ They certainly aren’t comfortable!

~ They have the effect of shaking us down to the foundations and showing us pockets of darkness in our hearts where Christ’s light still needs to penetrate.

~ They don't always come with detailed instructions, requiring us to walk in a greater measure of faith.

AND...

~ They are often birthed through timely supernatural encounters. 

Think of Joshua standing on the edge of the promised land, receiving a visit from an angel to bring courage. Or Jacob, Gideon, Moses, Joseph the Carpenter, and countless other heroes of the faith who needed specific instructions - supernatural “scrolls,” if you will - released to them before they stepped into a new frontier. 

Did these encounters remove fear or make the transitions easier? No, but they provided a measure of confidence and motivation to keep going when the going got tough.

HEROES OF FAITH AREN'T COMFORTABLE!
For several weeks, the Lord has been highlighting Acts 10-11 to me, using the apostle Peter’s “shift” story as an analogy for what is happening for believers today. 

In Acts 10, Peter is enjoying a successful healing ministry in Joppa and the regions around Jerusalem. But God begins to speak to the man who may represent His most seasoned leader after Christ’s resurrection. God speaks to Peter about spearheading a new ministry model. 

For God to choose Peter seems logical: it was Peter who first understood and confessed Christ’s true identity; Peter who first stood in the Upper Room to offer leadership to the grieving disciples; Peter who first preached at Pentecost. Throughout the early days in Jerusalem, Peter was the established leader of the disciples, seeing healings and miracles on a regular basis. 

Now, however, God wants to move Peter into a new wineskin for an expanded sphere of influence in Christ’s Kingdom. But the shift is uncomfortable. Without supernatural intervention, Peter might not have succeeded. Note: a comfortable leader can quickly become an ineffective one! 

Peter’s ability to transition into a new ministry is hindered by one simple belief which seems Christlike; but is, in fact, severely limiting. We find this belief in Acts 10:28: “...it is unlawful for a Jewish man to associate with or befriend a Gentile, or to visit him.”

MOVING FROM JOPPA TO CAESAREA
As a sheet is lowered from heaven and a voice instructs Peter to do something “out of the box” for him, we find Peter defaulting to a familiar three-fold denial of the Lord’s will. 

Like the prophet Jonah 800 years before, Peter balks at the idea of abandoning a kosher, religious framework to reach Gentile nations: people the Jews consider “common” and “unclean.” 

Both Peter and his prophetic predecessor need to be supernaturally shaken out of a limiting religious mindset which prevents them from accepting God’s fresh invitation. They don’t realize the depth of God’s love for ALL nations; just for their own kind. 

Jonah rebels, launches from Joppa (the modern-day port of Tel-Aviv), and lands in a fish. While Jonah’s anger doesn’t stop God’s plan from happening, we have no evidence that his heart ever changed, although the hearts of Nineveh’s people did. 

By contrast, Peter obeys (helped by the Holy Spirit), leaves Joppa, and starts a revival in Caesarea. Peter’s willingness to shift into something new with God sets the precedent for a subsequent church plant in Antioch as well. It is in Antioch that disciples are first called Christians.

We know God loves cheerful givers. It’s also safe to say He is pleased with willing “first responders!”  


How does Peter’s “shift” actually happen? During a time of prayer, Peter sees the sky open up. He: 

~ Has a trance (Acts 11:5)

~ Sees a vision of a sheet being lowered from heaven with clean & unclean animals (11:5)

~ Hears a voice saying “Rise, Kill, and Eat!” (11:7)

~ Hears a second voice with the same message (11:9) 

~ Hears a third identical voice (11:10)

~ Receives three confirming visitors from Cornelius (11:11)

~ Receives a call of God by the Spirit to “GO” to Caesarea (11:12)

Yet even at the end of this recurring vision, Peter still does not know what it’s all about! He mistakenly interprets the vision as representing kosher and non-kosher food, not people. 

Despite an incredible encounter, Peter must ask his three visitors: “Why have you come?” Later, he asks Cornelius: “Why have you sent for me?” 

​HOPE FOR THE HELPLESS
Peter’s story gives hope for those of us who feel we are missing it somehow. It reminds us that faith is still a necessary component to supernatural encounters. It shows us that we don’t always receive all the information up front. God will intervene just enough to move leaders into the right positions. After that, He trusts us to respond by faith, watch what unfolds, and do what is at hand. 

As a result of his obedience and faith, Peter sees the Holy Spirit fall in fresh Pentecostal power on the Gentiles (Acts 10:44). Yet commentator John Stott says: “The principle subject of this chapter is not so much the conversion of Cornelius as it is the conversion of Peter.” 

Peter’s heart shift is the precursor to a ministry shift into a new location and a new wineskin. A local and regional ministry now has international authority, as Gentiles from Caesarea to Antioch are converted and baptized. 

Notice what happens next:

~ Grace for ministry increases (Acts 11:23)

~ New partnerships with other leaders are formed (11:22 & 25-26)

~ Mass evangelism and salvations occur (11:21 & 24)

~ The teaching anointing increases (11:26)

~ Large numbers of disciples become known for the first time as “Christians” (11:26)

~ The prophetic anointing increases (11:28)

~ Holy Spirit prepares the Church at large for a severe famine (11:28)

~ The Church responds with a spirit of generosity, functioning for the first time in Antioch as a unified, fivefold apostolic Body (11:29-30). 

 
While it takes significant supernatural intervention to bring about the shift in these chapters, Peter is not alone in his need for God’s confirming presence and reassurance. Many other heroes of the faith required similar encounters to accomplish their missions, and many of us today do, too. The encounters are meant to change our hearts and help us to see our situations from a new perspective: God’s perspective! 

If you feel you are being led by God to do unusual things in this new era, do not despair! The same man who denied Christ and was restored three times still needed a course correction in the middle of an established ministry in order to grow. 

Two things Peter did right, which leaders can emulate: he maintained a regular prayer life even while on the go, which kept the lines of supernatural communication open. He also responded humbly to God’s course corrections, walking by faith where details were not yet known.

Peter’s shift wasn’t comfortable. Ours won’t be, either. As needed, God will give us the confirmations we must have to stay on track and to remove any wrong beliefs. Holy Spirit knows how to guide us through each and every transition, no matter how difficult, until we are rightly positioned within God’s overarching plan.

The apostle Paul summarizes the process best: 

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus.

All of us who are mature should embrace this point of view. And if you think differently about some issue, God will reveal this to you as well. Nevertheless, we must live up to what we have already attained. ~ Philippians 3:12-15; emphasis mine.
 
I pray that like Peter, you will respond with faith to the corporate shifting that is taking place across the Body right now. Alignment is important, and reveals, in the end, the kind of Joel 2 army God desires most. May your first response to God’s invitations always be a cheerful “Yes!”

THINK ON THESE THINGS:
God’s heart is to make His house a house of prayer for ALL nations; not just one.

~ Are there “pockets” of resistance in your heart towards those who are different in race, color, religion, or status than you?

~ Are you married to ministry models that are now limited or outdated?

~ Do you sense that God is challenging you to shift your role, relationships, location, or method of ministry?

~ Are your "lines of communication" with God open for supernatural assistance? Can he trust you to listen and obey, even when His instructions are unexpected?

Ask God to supernaturally reveal any wrong beliefs, habits, or religious mindsets that could prevent you from shifting into your new sphere of influence today. Mature leaders are humble leaders, willing to let go of old things and to be shaken free of erroneous thinking as necessary.

The end result will be a beautiful outpouring of expanded grace, power, authority, and blessing for you and those around you!

HOW TO FIND PEACE IN TIMES OF TRAUMA

Dear Friends, 

Times of stress can make us feel as though we have been thrown overboard, tossed from the safety and comfort of our ships into a tumultuous sea. Traumatic events - whether injuries, losses, wars, or relational fractures - shock our systems like a plunge into cold water, momentarily destabilizing us. All we can do, it seems, is watch as waves and wind batter and shatter the only sources of security we have ever known!

We are living in a time of unprecedented trauma, when storms of epic proportions are being unleashed against our world. It’s a time of compounded trauma: each event triggers another. Stress is emerging like bands of a storm, wanting to draw us into the very center of its turmoil.

King David expressed so well how this feels. He wrote: “For the waves of death encompassed me, the torrents of destruction assailed me; the cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.” (2 Samuel 22:5-6)

It is important for the Bride of Christ to remember that her security is in Christ alone, not in things she might hold dear. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Although it may seem like the Lord Himself has cut your lifeline and detached you from the safety of any “ship” you have relied on in the past, I believe this SEVERING from the old is what’s necessary for a stronger TETHERING to your empowered, new-creation life! 

Christ in you is the hope of glory! I hear the Spirit saying: “We have this hope as an anchor for our souls.” 

DO NOT DRIFT AWAY!
Hebrews 2:1b reads: “We must pay much closer attention than ever to the things that we have heard, so that we do not drift away from truth.” 
 
As I pondered recent events that have seemed, in some cases, beyond our ability to endure, I wanted to honor the words of this scripture and pay close attention to the Lord’s heart. I asked: “Lord, what do You need us to know in order to successfully weather these storms? What are YOU doing right now?”
 
His answer was simple: “I am releasing peace to My Bride. It is My peace that will crush Satan beneath your feet!” 

PEACE THAT WARS
At first blush, “crushing Satan” does not seem like an accurate description of what peace does! Everything in our human nature prefers to war, resist, defend, and fight against anything we perceive as a threat. 

Yet just as it is better to conserve energy in the water by floating rather than thrashing, so it is better to abide in peace and stillness when storms come. (See Mark 4:38-40)

Peace is accessed not through the emotions, but through the indwelling Spirit of God.

Because Christ lives within believers, we are able to have a peace that “passes understanding.” (Philippians 4:7) This means that when things don’t make sense; when evil acts are beyond description; when pain and suffering cause us to cry out for mercy; we can rely upon our intimate knowledge of Him to give us deeper peace.

Just as the human brain has the amazing ability to protect our core identity by subconsciously “burying” overwhelming memories of trauma, so God has designed a brilliant “Master spiritual system” in which His Holy Spirit is embedded in the human spirit by faith at our new birth. This Spirit-empowered system trumps every other world or demonic system that could ever work against us! 

There is no internal or external system, no matter how intricate or corrupt, that can override God’s plans for our lives because the Lord and Master of all abides peacefully within us! 

Paul writes in Ephesians 1:11 (TPT): “Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as His own inheritance. Before we were even born, He gave us our destiny, that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in His heart.” 

Paul adds later: “...He alone is the leader and source of everything needed in the Church.” (Ephesians 1:22)

HOW TO ACCESS PEACE
I believe there are three primary “Master keys” the Lord gives us to access internal peace in turbulent times. 

Like prophecy, peace is not automatic. These keys must be used to unlock our spiritual inheritance in this earthly realm. 

The first key is our WORSHIP. More than any other weapon, I believe worship is damaging to the enemy of our souls because it was once his specialty, too (See Ezekiel 28). As we worship God for who He is, rather than dwelling on how situations appear, the testimony and sound of God’s Name penetrates the lies that fill our minds or cloud the atmosphere. 

This type of heart-interaction with the Lord draws Him close to us and us to Him. (Psalm 22:3) It is impossible to authentically worship God while still dwelling on negative thoughts! Worship pulls our spirits and souls up out of earthly or second-heaven depression and confusion into throne-room clarity.

The second is the WORD. To access the mind of Christ, including His peaceful thoughts, we must know the Word of Christ. 

Knowing what the Bible says about any situation in our lives empowers us to think correctly and envision solutions instead of ruminating on problems. Confessing and decreeing what God says is the key to breakthroughs and turnarounds in our homes, marriages, finances, and workplaces, since everything is in subjection to the Word of Christ (Hebrews 2:8; 1 Corinthians 15:27).

In addition, it is the Word alone that strengthens our bodies, souls, and spirits:

[Jesus is] “...the exact representation and perfect imprint of His Father’s essence, upholding and maintaining and propelling all things (the entire physical and spiritual universe) by His powerful word (carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal). (Hebrews 1:3, AMP) 

The third is PRAYER, especially our PRAYER LANGUAGE. Times of stress are inherently difficult and often rob us of adequate words to pray. The Holy Spirit is given to believers as our Helper, not to satisfy our selfish desires, but to enable us to reach Jesus and the Father’s heart, even in places of extreme weakness (Romans 8:26-27). 

To pray in the Spirit (using tongues) is to pray a “perfect prayer” that is in complete unity with the mind, heart, and purposes of the Lord. It is to join Christ in His ongoing work of intercession before the Father’s throne, becoming His “prayer partner.” 

Many believers think of praying in tongues only as a form of intercession for others. Yet because you are a tripartite being, it is possible to intercede in the Spirit even for wounds in your own soul, trusting that Christ hears, understands, and desires to heal every place of trauma or loss within you, too. This is a wonderful miracle of our new creation life! 

Each one of these three keys, when used, empowers heaven’s angels to respond to the Word of God and minister on your behalf. Angels enforce God’s Word, including the Word of the Lord as decreed through your mouth!

Returning to 2 Samuel, David continues: “In my distress I called upon the Lord;  to my God I called. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry came to His ears… He sent from on high, He took me, He drew me out of many waters. He rescued me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.” (2 Samuel 22:7; 17-20)

THE ANCHOR OF HOPE
We share David’s hope of Christ’s deliverance. Jesus is the anchor for our souls! 

Anchors are not known for their lightness; they are weighty and can pull against the winds and tides to provide stability in stormy seas. Anchors typically secure us to the what lies below. 

Yet in the Kingdom of God, up is down and down is up!

Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who penetrated the veil and secured a place for us in the Holy of Holies. Our faith is what tethers us to the anchor of the sure and steadfast words of Christ, pulling us upward over storms and waves, and causing us to walk securely on our high places. 

Do not allow doubt to toss you about like Peter did in his storm! Just He did for that first disciple, Jesus is calling you through His Word to come up higher; to walk on “paths your feet have not traveled.” (Isaiah 41:3)  

God’s unstoppable plan is the revealing of Christ to the rulers, powers, and principalities of the air through YOU, as you trust in Him when faith seems impossible. His plan was always to unveil a love and peace so deep and powerful inside of you that nothing could deter you from advancing towards Him and transforming everything in your path! 

It is this peace that compelled every apostle to live and die for the love of Jesus. It is this same peace Jesus is imparting to us today, to help us overcome impossible opposition. Of the INCREASE of HIS GOVERNMENT and PEACE there will be no end! He will reign on David’s throne and over His Kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from this time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:7)

AMERICA: “SPECIAL OPS” ANGELS ARE BEING RELEASED ON A DIVINE RESCUE MISSION!

Dear Friends, 

​In the past few weeks, I’ve had two significant encounters with the Lord which I believe will bring great ENCOURAGEMENT, STRENGTH, and HOPE to those who feel they have been walking in almost unrelenting, demonic darkness. 

In the Name of Jesus, I prophesy to you that THERE IS HOPE ON THE HORIZON! You are about to see heaven’s angelic “special forces” team pierce through the darkness on rescue and resupply missions all over this nation!

FIRST VISION: SPIRIT-BREATHED REVIVAL
In two separate, related visions on 12/31/21 and 1/13/22, Holy Spirit took me up above the nation of America in the middle of the night. I could not see anything except black terrain beneath me. 

In the first vision I saw three bonfires burning on the ground. They were laid out in a triangle. One of the fires was in the North; one to the West; and one to the East. 

The bonfires represented “altars” of prayer and worship that had been created by believers who were hungry for more of God’s manifest Presence. The fires had been built through personal and corporate REPENTANCE as these worshipers responded to a “holy discontent” that was stirring within them. 

These true lovers of God had cleared their land and their hearts of every trace of debris or residue they could find in order to make room for the Holy Spirit to come in power. 

The sticks and twigs that fueled the fire represented personal sacrifices or consecrations made through repentance. Each believer’s heart’s cry was for revival, and the fires were an “SOS” message in the Spirit: a corporate cry to the Lord for His help in dire situations.

The Lord asked me to prophetically blow the breath of the Spirit on these fires. He said that the wind of His breath was now blowing on these fires to further ignite and expand them; the breath of God upon them would bring revival. By faith, I breathed on these fires in the Spirit. 

Immediately after this, the Lord Jesus released three sealed scrolls to me, each with an address written in black ink on the outside. The scrolls were messages from Jesus, to be delivered to the three locations I had just seen. 

A few days after this initial vision, I received a phone call from a believer in the first scroll’s location, in the Southeastern US. During prayer, the Holy Spirit released one of these prophetic scrolls to her, which contained very specific instructions for expanding her church’s mission this year.

SECOND VISION: ANGELIC "SPECIAL OPS" FORCES RELEASED
On January 13, 2022, I had a second vision. 

Once again, the Spirit took me up above America at night, this time as a Pilot on what appeared to be “Air Force One” or some similar large, governmental aircraft. He wanted me to survey the nation just as our President might fly over a disaster area, to assess damage and determine what was needed for restoration. 

Holy Spirit first highlighted to me the TURBULENCE and WARFARE in the spirit realm, which was significant. The only way to deal with this level of turbulence was to ascend even higher in the Spirit, which we did, until there was a greater measure of stability for the plane. 

I was in constant intercession throughout this vision. It became clear that for believers living at this time in history, the only way to get through such high-level opposition or turbulence was to pray in tongues. For several hours I prayed in the Spirit, which allowed the aircraft to remain at high enough altitudes to travel safely. 
​
I looked down over the nation through the night sky and saw bonfires again; this time dozens of them, like small dots all over the black terrain. I realized that without additional fuel, these fires would all soon burn out. A sense of urgency filled my spirit as I saw that people needed something more to sustain their strength, light, and hope. 

Suddenly from this heavenly vantage point, I saw dozens of angels dropping down out of the sky with ropes, like “special ops” forces in the Spirit. Heavenly rescue missions were taking place in response to believers’ “SOS” cries for help. 

These angelic “paratroopers” needed no parachutes! They rappelled down to earth, piercing through the blackness and turbulence. I knew that these angels were on a twofold mission to rescue and resupply. (Or what the military calls an “infiltration, exfiltration, and resupply” mission; see this page for more info.)


I prophesy to you today that in the places where you feel so weary and worried that things are becoming unsustainable, or your spiritual or natural supplies might run out, heaven is now penetrating earth’s atmosphere to supply you with fresh provisions! 

“Rapture” thinking - while enticing - is not an option! Breakthrough angels are coming to visit you, carrying two very specific things you will need for the next part of your journey: OIL and SCROLLS.

OIL FOR YOUR FIRE
The oil is to sustain your fire. 

The hard work of clearing your land and heart of the debris needing to be burned is ending. A supernatural shift is now coming that will cause your fire to burn from a lasting source: holy oil. 

Members of God’s holy remnant will now become MOVEABLE and MOBILE. The Spirit's fire is meant to spread! These believers are being resupplied with an anointing of FRESH OIL THAT WILL NOT RUN OUT. 

This divine resupply of oil will be like the “miracle of the oil” which occurred at Hanukkah. Your one-day’s supply will supernaturally last eight days. Believers  -  living temples of God - will be cleansed, strengthened, and rededicated in their service to the Lord.

You are receiving a fresh outpouring of God’s glorious anointing to burn with love for your Bridegroom, serving and ministering with signs, wonders and miracles!


​EXTRACTION FOR THE WEARY
As I continued to watch from the plane above, dawn began to break. 

All over the nation, the air cleared, visibility returned, and I saw movement around the bonfires. Many people were being repositioned. For some, there was a total deliverance from their current circumstances. 

As daylight broke through, the angels immediately began to ascend again, carrying the most weary warriors in their arms. They held onto the ropes that had been lowered, lifting themselves and the warriors up. Holy Spirit indicated to me that the warriors’ ascent was a merciful extraction on the Lord’s part. 


​SCROLLS FOR YOUR JOURNEY
As the special forces angels lifted the warriors up in their arms, they also dropped multiple scrolls into the hands of those who needed new strategies for the next leg of their journey. 

Those who remained on the ground took the scrolls, opened them, and immediately received Divine direction for where to go or what to do next. Some packed up the few things they had with them around the fires and set off into new territory, knowing their missions for the next destination. 

I saw on the faces of those who were persevering on the earth, a firm and holy resolution or determination to move forward once again in the plan of God for their lives.

At the close of the vision, I was visited by an angel who provided me with something specific and personal to my own call to ignite revival. I saw that besides the oil and the scrolls, there would be additional provisions released to each believer which were unique to their individual callings and responsibilities in the Kingdom at this time.

A DECREE
I hear the Lord saying that many of you have been waiting to hear your orders and strategies for this next season. You have not known where to plug in, connect, or serve. In some cases you have been intentionally constrained from movement as you’ve cared for those who are nearing the end of their earthly journeys. The confining was simply part of your readying and refining process.

I decree that this is the day of your release and promotion! This is a time of stepping into supernatural provision and protection! 

Some of you will be supernaturally "extracted;" delivered from previous places of warfare and placed among friendlier tribes as you continue on your journey. 

Whether you live or die you belong to the Lord; and whether on earth or in heaven, His mission for you at this time in history is perfectly designed to be a blessing to you and to the Body of Christ in your nation! 

While the past season may have felt like nothing but death and devastation; personal weariness and sacrifice; you are now on the receiving end of heaven’s rescue mission! Your new orders and prophetic scrolls will allow you to minister from a place of relief, rest, focus, and restoration. 

Some of you must be willing to move beyond the warmth and comfort of "revival fires" you have known before in order to be repositioned correctly in God. When you receive your scroll, you may find that it contains the address for a specific location you are to move to or contribute to somehow, along with strategies for your future so that you can continue to build the Kingdom of God.

I decree that everything you need for your mission, including the things specific to your personal well-being, is being sent to you now. Open your hands and receive by faith what heavenly hosts are now releasing to you!

I hear the Lord decreeing Revelation 2:26-27 over His faithful remnant. It’s a strong message of encouragement for you today: 

“To the one who is victorious and does My will to the end, I will give authority over the nations - that one will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery - just as I have received authority from My Father.”

2022: A YEAR OF VISION AND PROVISION

Dear Friends, 

Happy New Year!

This word for 2022 can be viewed and shared on YouTube as well as on the blog for those who prefer to watch or listen. I believe what the Lord is sharing with me at this time will be a blessing to you as you set your focus on the new year! At the end of this post you’ll also find a link to a companion study sheet which you can download or print for free. 

On Christmas night, I was awakened by the Lord at 3:16 AM. Throughout that night, I was also given a series of three related dreams, which I will share below. When I awoke from the third dream, I heard this phrase ringing loudly in my ears: “2022 is the year of VISION and PROVISION!” 

VISION and PROVISION are significant themes for the Body of Christ in 2022. The Lord wants you to know He is releasing KEYS OF DELIVERANCE this year which will UNLOCK your ability to SEE more clearly and RECEIVE more abundantly!

Using the “code” of 3:16, Holy Spirit highlighted a number of specific scriptures as He unfolded this word. The verses are included below, woven into the content of the prophetic word itself. 

VISION THAT SEES BY FAITH
As we continue to see a separation and “delineation” between good and evil, holy and unholy through God-initiated shakings and winnowings in the earth, holiness and purity will become more and more evident in the lives of the true followers of God.* 

Holy Spirit highlighted the scripture in John 3:16 to me first, emphasizing that the dividing line between those who perish and those who experience abundant life is still the word “believe.” Faith will continue to be the only hope for survival in a world rocked by demonic chaos and destruction. 

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, ensures that our vision remains clear so that we can see the highway of holiness He has prepared for us in the midst of trials and storms. 

A related Scripture  - also a “3:16” verse - is Proverbs 3:16-17. The man who finds Wisdom (sourced in Christ) finds long life, riches, and honor. In a world marked by the opposites: sickness-shortened lives, famine and poverty, and demonic persecution against believers, Proverbs 3:16 will become, literally, a “life verse” for many. Those who choose to walk in the Spirit with Christ, with Wisdom; will find their ways pleasant and peaceful in the Spirit despite the chaos around them.

James 3:16 says that “where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.” But the wisdom from above is  pure, peaceable… gentle… open to reason… full of mercy and good fruits… impartial and sincere.” Wisdom’s insight will bring discernment so that believers may distinguish between what is evil and what is good.


In a vision, the Lord allowed me to see the “pathway of the righteous.” To the natural eye, it looked like nothing more than a dirt path: a dirty, obscure path one would not choose to travel on! Yet in the Spirit, I saw that this path consisted of rich, black soil that was being watered by the tears of the saints as they journeyed, at times lying face down in the dirt as they prayed. 

Tears of grief, loss, torment, and pain are not wasted; instead, they fertilize the soil on the believer's path. In the vision, I was amazed at the richness of this soil, which was able to produce a beautiful garden.

I saw that the first of many flowers had emerged and was blooming, and I heard the name of it: a trumpet flower (or "angel's trumpet; see here for a fascinating description). I knew that the  name of the flower represented its prophetic function, and that it embodied the message it trumpeted.  (2 Corinthians 4:16-17)

The Spirit then showed me that just above this hidden path, overlaying and running parallel to it in the realm of the Spirit, was a river of golden glory. Its existence seemed unknown to the saints who walked this path in their humility. 

The glory-stream shimmered in the light of the sun, and the Lord revealed that the “glittery" glory I saw reflected the many aspects of His character, which are beyond beautiful. 

He said that the glory that is now being released on earth is a composite, or mixture, of several different anointings we have known in the past, including (but not limited to) healing and deliverance. Just as the anointing oil in Moses’ time was composed of specific ingredients, so this fresh oil contains a unique “blend” of anointings both necessary and specific to our time in history. 

Psalm 65:11 reads: “You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.”

Walking in Wisdom not only produces glory; it also keeps believers safe in times of persecution. The Lord next brought me to Isaiah 41 and encouraged me to read it as speaking spiritually of Christ, not just historically as pertaining to Cyrus. 

For Christ and those who believe in Him, there are beautiful promises here: first, that “victory will meet us at every step” as we walk in the Spirit. Second, that we will pass by the enemy safely on “paths our feet have not trod.” (Isaiah 41; esp. vv. 2-3) 

To walk on the "highway of holiness" is the triumphant victory of the Christian overcomer, and the corresponding Laodicean promise in Revelation 3 is that these holy overcomers are able to sit with Christ on His throne, ruling and reigning over all their enemies. Their eyes have been anointed with salve purchased from the Lord at a price, and they have learned to truly see.

PROVISION THAT RECEIVES BY REVELATION
The next theme the Lord highlighted for 2022 was the theme of provision that is received by revelation. 

Last year, I wrote extensively about the emergence of both spiritual and natural “Joesphs” who are anointed to help bring the Body of Christ through difficult times. In biblical Joseph's day, the nation of Egypt was considered economically prosperous but then encountered a widespread famine.
 
Joseph had been well prepared for that hour, having already been stripped of everything he ever owned and every relationship he ever knew. Don’t miss the prophetic timing on Joseph’s life: it took 22 years of preparation before Joseph’s initial dream from God came true! 

By the time Joseph reached Pharaoh’s prison cell in Egypt, he had nothing to rely on except his secure relationship with God. Joseph’s revelatory vision and foresight was the one and only key he needed for provision, deliverance, and stabilization of a nation. 

Through the Spirit of wisdom (practical preparation for the famine) and revelation (the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream), God gifted Joseph with a survival strategy to save the nation and his own family.


In the same way, apostolic Josephs are still being raised up today. These “Josephs” are not just prophets who share dreams and visions, nor are they typical "titled" ministry donors! These are apostles who, through deep and seasoned trust in God, have now been entrusted by our King to carry keys of provision for the Church in dark times. 

Colossians 3:16 reveals the secret to developing this kind of wisdom: “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” 2 Timothy 3:16 also confirms that the Word of God is profitable for all things, including teaching, training, and correction. 

In Joseph’s story we see a clear picture of the profitable use of the Word of God through personal gifting. Joseph’s knowledge of God’s Word and his commitment to worship God in even the worst of situations enabled him to function first in his gifting as a dreamer and interpreter, then as a steward of the dreams and visions of others. 

The Word and worship remain essential components for the Body’s provision today, since they reinforce and demonstrate trust in a good God who gives bread, not stones, to His children. 

I believe we will also see the rise of more “Priscillas and Aquilas” in the coming year: missionary couples who are anointed for accurate teaching of the Word either on the road or in house church settings. 

These are not simply evangelists explaining the way of salvation, but godly couples who will bring much-needed discipleship and discernment even to the mature as Kingdom mothers and fathers. The “provisions” they carry are spiritual, meant to equip, sharpen,  and empower believers for the next leg of their journey.

The power of their ministry will not be in words alone, but in the message of their marriage. As issues of gender, sexuality, and identity come under assault from the world, men and women who embrace the distinctions of their genders yet the equality of their partnership with God will see the anointing restore broken individuals and families.  

PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE OF NUMBERS 2 & 22
The number “2” represents agreement, blessing, union, and addition. The prophetic number “22” speaks of open doors, increase, and keys of authority given to those who are  trustworthy. 

James 4:8 indicates that cleansing our hands of sin (through salvation and confession) is one part of a 2-fold redemptive process. Purifying the heart (through inner healing, deliverance, and working out our salvation) is the other. This significant “2” speaks of two things the Lord has been emphasizing to many prophets: a great Kingdom harvest of incoming souls and a great deliverance for the faithful remnant of Christ. 

THE KEY OF DELIVERANCE WILL UNLOCK YOUR PROVISION!
Isaiah 31:1 reads: “Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.”

In the three dreams on Christmas night, I saw two people in particular. One of them is well known for their generosity and provision to the Body of Christ. 

In the dreams this generous individual had been severely paralyzed, but was recovering through prayer. The reason for their paralysis was a demonic one: they had made a heart-covenant to trust in the world’s supply instead of in God. This had given the enemy permission to cripple them so they could not move forward.

By contrast, the second person in the dream had a name which implied “trusting.” Psalm 28:7 reads: The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 also states: “The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”

When I woke from these dreams, Holy Spirit began speaking to me about the importance of DELIVERANCE in the coming year. Deliverance, Jesus taught, is the children's bread! 

​What hindered the first person in the dreams was a pact or agreement they made to rely on “Egypt” instead of God. The legal right the enemy had to cause paralysis was idolatry. (Note that idolatry is also the second commandment, another “two.”) It was a specific type of prayer from the second person that helped the paralyzed one become free of the root of their bondage. 

The Lord is illustrating a choice we have for the coming year. The one who relies on himself or others will not be able to move forward. The one who chooses to trust and agree with God’s ways will find healing through prayer and deliverance. In a season noted for its complex catastrophes and trauma, we will  need the "key" of deliverance, to see healing manifest. 

"SHOW ME WHAT I CAN'T SEE"
A dear friend and member of our His Inscriptions community taught me to pray this simple prayer: “Holy Spirit, please show me what I cannot see.” 

Whether this applies to seeing hidden strongholds within ourselves, discerning the truth in complex scenarios, or interpreting dreams and visions, this is a wonderful way to invite the Lord’s counsel into your life. God delights in expanding our vision and perspective when we give Him the opportunity! 

Proverbs 3:5-11 urges the believer to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not to lean on our own understanding. We are to acknowledge Him in all our ways so that our paths are  straight. Honoring the Lord is the key to filling our barns with plenty and our vessels with wine. 

Deliverance will return to the forefront in 2022 as a “power tool” which has been ignored or shunned in the Church. The enemy has caused many people to fear deliverance because of its “messiness,” yet the power of deliverance opens doors of favor, healing, and provision. In many cases it is the ONLY tool that will work to bring healing!

When the Body of Christ becomes aware of ungodly pacts, covenants, and agreements with people or man-made systems of worship and begins to break these covenants or co-dependencies through prayer, freedom and finances will be released. When deliverance is embraced we will see the most complex traumas healed.

In addition, the number "2" can represent either union or division. James goes on to say that friendship with the world breeds enmity, or division, towards God. Friendship with God produces a  holy union that disperses our enemies.

Unfortunately, there has been a widespread attack of division operating in the Church which, for want of a kinder name, is called “Christian witchcraft.” Negative spirits such as jealousy, judgment, control, criticism, and strife have been working through deceived, disgruntled believers to accuse and slander those who sincerely desire to follow God. 

The yielding of these deceived believers’ tongues to the accuser of the brethren pollutes the Body and their own testimonies. Spirits of offense and accusation cause two people who were once unified in the Spirit’s anointing to be divided. James describes believers with an unbridled tongue as “deceived,” “polluted,” having a “worthless religion,” and operating in a “world of unrighteousness.” 

The enemy will continue to sow seeds of slander and division in the Body through issues like vaccine mandates, the cessation of Pentecostal gifts, and ministry methods. It's what he does well. He thrives on demonic comparison and competitive jealousy. These things have no place in a believer’s mind, mouth, or heart! 

God is exposing things like this on a national and worldwide scale. On issues of personal preference, where biblical doctrine does not specifically support one course of action over another, I believe the greatest test is not whether we are right about an issue but whether we are loving towards those who disagree with us. (See Romans 14:22.) 

Another His Inscriptions reader and prayer warrior sent me the following dream as I wrote this word for 2022. The dream illustrates perfectly what we’re experiencing right now. 

This man and his wife were in an airport, watching not one but three successive “Concorde” airplanes take off and then immediately crash. He wondered why no one shut down the airport after the first crash because there was so much death and devastation? Yet these planes kept taking off, one right after the other, in total defiance of airport protocol. He felt the dream spoke of large ministries that were "crashing and burning" as God was exposing unrighteousness.

I believe this is a picture of what happens when sin in any form is allowed to contaminate the Body of Christ. Spiritually, the Body is like a “Concorde” aircraft; don’t miss the meaning of the name “Concorde,” which speaks of agreement and unity! The Church is designed to soar at altitudes higher than any other aircraft and speeds faster than sound.  

The Lord reminded me that the fatal July 25, 2000 crash of an actual supersonic Concorde jet in France was traced to a piece of metal on the runway. The metal strip was small, but it blew a tire and caused a piece of rubber to strike the fuel tank on a wing of the plane. The full tank ruptured from within, causing a fire, the plane was destroyed, and everyone on board was lost. The message? It only takes a little leaven to leaven the whole lump.

James’ caution to bridle our divisive, fiery tongues is critical in a season where ministries and corporations are crashing and burning all around us. We may see more of this, but we don’t need to be casualties ourselves!

The key to receiving God’s provision and protection in the midst of this turmoil is to daily renounce any personal sins or iniquities that divide us from Christ or His Body. It is essential this year to allow Jesus to shepherd your heart. Forgive those who have offended you and break off all agreements with the enemy, whether intentional or generational. A house divided will not stand!

I believe that the consecrated, “remnant” believers who separate themselves to the Lord in purity this year will see double doors of increase and favor unlocked for them. 

In short, the promises I’m seeing for 2022 are simple but powerful: 

FAITH paired with a walk of HUMILITY will cause us to SEE with clear VISION so that we walk on secure paths of GLORIOUS ABUNDANCE. 

TOTAL TRUST in God combined with the “power tool” of DELIVERANCE will release overflowing PROVISION and NEW WINE, even during the world’s supply shortages. 

Finally, moving to a place of AGREEMENT and UNITY IN THE SPIRIT instead of fleshly division will bring HEALING, causing the Church at large to ARISE and SOAR powerfully and authoritatively, just as she is designed to do!

PRAY:
1. Holy Spirit, please show me what I can't see: is there anything in my heart or home that I rely on or worship, other than You?

2. Are there any sources of VISION I am relying on which have their roots in human strength or occult power? (These could include your own plans made apart from prayer or God’s counsel, as well as consulting mediums, psychics, fortune tellers, or other past or present methods of prediction.)

3. Are there any agreements or covenants I have made with “Egypt;” sources of PROVISION which have taken the place of perfect trust in you? 

DECREE:
Thank you, Lord, that my light, temporary afflictions are producing for me an eternal, weighty glory that is beautiful beyond comparison! By faith this year, I look to the unseen things of the Spirit and refuse to focus on the deceptions and lies of the enemy. I take hold of Jesus Christ, Author and Finisher of my faith and the source of true Wisdom, believing that I have favor, life, and abundance at ALL times. I walk purely and securely because I abide IN HIM.

The authentic messages of my life and ministry are coming forth in maturity, fullness, and the power of God. I am discerning and wise because of the Spirit of God IN ME. In passionate devotion to the Lord, I invite You, Jesus to anoint my eyes with clear spiritual vision for 2022. I will not rely on the world's systems of government or man-made provision; instead, I will draw from the riches of Christ's salvation and glory for everything I need.

I trust in the Lord and I am helped, because God has said He is my helper and He will never leave of forsake me. Love is in my DNA. Truth sets me free. Deliverance is my bread, and healing is my inheritance. I feast on the goodness of God in the land of the living! Hallelujah!

ARE YOU READY FOR GOD TO VISIT?

“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.”
~Malachi 3:1


Dear Friends, 

This week, I was working my way through a checklist as I prepared to welcome family and friends home for the holidays. 

As I went to sleep one night, I marveled at how quickly my list seemed to have been completed; there were only one or two items left for me to take care of. I was delighted to find myself two full days ahead of my own schedule! 

Then, early this morning, I was overtaken by the Fear of the Lord as I sat quietly with Him. As God's unmistakable Presence enveloped me I heard the Him say “The Master of the House is coming to visit His Vineyard.”

A SUDDEN VISIT
While I continued to listen, Holy Spirit reminded me of the parable of the landowner in Matthew 21. 
​
Jesus uses the language of a vineyard to describe the sudden return of a landowner to his vineyard after wicked tenants (historically representing Jewish leaders) repeatedly kill his servants (the prophets) and finally his Son (Christ). 

In the wake of ungodly stewardship, God’s holy vineyard and its inheritance were given to the Gentiles, to a people who would “give Him the fruits in their seasons.” (Matthew 21:41.)

Believers in Christ now produce godly fruit through a lifestyle of repentance, love, humility, and honoring the purposes of the One who created the vineyard to begin with.

GOD'S "CHECKLIST" IS NEARLY COMPLETED
As I meditated on this parable, I was taken into a vision. I saw that just as I had done earlier this week, the Father and his Son Jesus were looking at a large “checklist” that was laying open between the two of them. 

In the vision I knew that this heavenly “checklist” had to do with the Lord visiting His people. This visit was not His final, end-time return, but a significant visitation of His Presence and glory. 

I realized that the "sudden visit" of the glory of the Lord was coming much more quickly than anyone anticipated. I had the distinct sense that there would be many who were not ready. The timing of His visit, I saw, was also meant to be a surprise. 

Those who were ready for the Lord would see this visitation as a blessing. Those who were not, like the wicked vinedressers in Christ’s parable, would find themselves coming up short - and would suffer the consequences.

CONFIRMING SIGNS
To emphasize the importance of this vision, the Lord gave me two confirming signs. 
​
In the middle of one day, I was about to leave my house to do errands. I was dressed and ready, walking through the front hallway to get my keys. 

Just as I reached out my hand to take hold of the doorknob, there was a sharp knock on the other side of the door. 

To my surprise, someone I consider a “father” in the faith stood on my doorstep, bearing a gift. He had not told me he was coming, nor did He stay for more than a few moments, but he left a blessing for my family. There could be no clearer sign of the “Father’s visitation!”

On the following day, I was expecting a delivery of groceries at a certain time, but a situation arose that kept me away from the house when they arrived. 

When I returned, I found that the food had been left on my doorstep, along with an extra unexpected gift that was a blessing to our family. 

In each of these visits, both the timing and the substance were good surprises. 

I heard the Father say that the time is short; His “checklist” is nearly completed and He is indeed coming to visit His people again! Blessings will overtake those who are ready and prepared for Him. Those who have honored His ways and cared for what He has entrusted to them will be pleasantly surprised. 

Yet those who have neglected their faith, oppressed God’s people, or taken advantage of His absence for their own selfish gain will not consider God’s “surprise visit” a welcome one.

​Like the wicked vinedressers, they will find their inheritance taken from them and given to those who have been faithful.

“…they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
~Luke 19:44

THE KEEPER OF THE VINEYARD
Isaiah prophesied of a day when God’s enemies would be punished and His vineyard (Israel in ancient times and the Church/Ekklesia today) would be made beautiful again:
​In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea. 
​
In that day, “A pleasant vineyard, sing of it! I, the Lord, am its keeper; every moment I water it. Lest anyone punish it, I keep it night and day; I have no wrath. 
~Isaiah 27:1-4
Through Christ’s life and resurrection we see a partial fulfillment of this prophecy.

We know that the Lord will destroy that dragon, Leviathan and all Satanic evil when He returns. 

Yet during this “in-between” time where we dwell spiritually in Christ but are still subject to conditions on sinful earth, God’s beautiful vineyard - His holy remnant - struggles against demonic wickedness and Pharisaical overseers. 

Both inside and outside the church, things are not as they seem. And truth, once exposed, is not often pretty. As Paul wrote in Romans 1:18, “the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.”

Sincere believers in Christ, however, share in the blessing of the Lord as our Keeper. His wrath has forever been removed and He sees us as righteous through the atoning blood of His Son. We have nothing to fear. He watches over us as His own "vineyard" night and day, and “waters us every moment.”

We serve a Father who never slumbers or sleeps. He is, in ways unknown to us, nourishing and watering our spirits every moment. I feel so strongly that He wants His Body to know this as we move into 2022! There is never a time when we are outside of Father’s sight or His care! (Hebrews 13:5)

It is God’s intense desire to see His vineyard bear fruit, and He is committed to sustaining you with fresh, living water every day of your life, if you will receive it. To commune with Christ through worship and feasting on His Word is to drink in “kisses” of living water from His mouth. (John 4:10; Song of Songs 1:2.) What a wonderful blessing!

A VISIT FROM GOD STIRS UP THE GOOD AND THE BAD!
Jeremiah 12:10 reads: “Many shepherds have destroyed My vineyard; they have trampled down My portion; they have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.” 

When the chief priests and Pharisees in Matthew 21 heard Jesus’ parable of the vineyard, they knew immediately He referred to them - religious leaders! - as unworthy stewards. This stirred up their anger, and the only thing that held them back from killing the Lord was that the vast majority of people recognized Him as a true prophet. 

In fact, everywhere Jesus went, the anointing stirred up both good and bad. Good breakthroughs for His followers, but demonic interference designed to take people's eyes off of what Holy Spirit was doing. 

In the same way, the anointing and glory that comes in a fresh visitation of the Lord will stir up either repentance or rebellion. Keen discernment will be needed so as not to lose sight of how God wants to move, even in the midst of confusion or chaos.

Those who seek to protect their own religious systems or man-made empires at the expense of wholehearted devotion to God will find that God Himself opposes them, breaking down the walls in which they trust. There is nowhere to hide from an omniscient, omnipresent God. 

Isaiah 28:17 describes what is happening now this way: “I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place.” 

The same living water that courses as “kisses” through the veins of God’s passionate lovers will flow like torrents of terror through the veins of those who do not fear Him or repent of their sins.

We will see God’s justice begin to flow into the earth as a “tide” of glory and redemption for those who love Him but as destruction for those who don’t. We are already seeing a shocking exposure of evil that has been hidden from the eyes of all but God. 

I believe we will see even more exposures of high-level wickedness that will impact many people. Unfortunately, believers will have to walk through some of the repercussions of these exposures as well. Earnest prayers to a holy God are certainly causing what is unholy to be purged from us!

It will be necessary to “trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts” while allowing Him to direct both our paths and our provision. I believe the Body of Christ is more ready than ever for justice and redemption. 

I believe the “signs” God gave me this week as He unfolded today’s word speak of His desire to bless and restore to His Body the power and glory that has largely been lost in mainstream Christianity. Those who trust in the Lord can be assured of safety and provision, recompense and redemption in even the worst of times.  

To close, I hear the Lord saying today:

​“Get ready, get ready, not for a HOLIDAY but for a VISITATION from Me! The first visitation happened at a time and place no one expected, for the humble were found homeless, and I came to a manger, not a palace. So I will do again, surprising you with the places I show up!

The least likely people will carry the greatest blessings in this hour, while those who count themselves first and best will be reduced to nothing. I will oppose pride in all its forms so that My glory can be seen for what it is: belonging to no man; full of holiness and purity; worthy of protection and honor.

Do not look to old systems for this new outpouring of glory. Look to ME, watch only for Me, and let Me surprise you with a visit you could not imagine for its goodness! No one can take credit for that which has not been planned or foreseen. Yet I am planning and preparing for something that will delight those who love Me and horrify those who reject Me. 

Wait and be watchful, for you cannot miss the voice of a Father you know!” 

 
I pray every reader of His Inscriptions will be blessed with the knowledge of the nearness of God to you this season. 

Father, please visit each home with the sweet surprise of Your Presence, and kiss Your weary and broken ones with Your love. Whether in a house of prayer or a heart of prayer, let Your amazing glory increase to fill every dry place with living water, restoring hope!

"I WILL BE AN ENEMY TO YOUR ENEMIES AND A FOE TO YOUR FOES!"

Dear Friends,

Can you feel it? 

There has been a significant SHIFT in the Spirit within the past few days, and a fresh outpouring of HOPE is here! I believe the Lord is STRENGTHENING His people and releasing a RESOLUTE spirit; a strong resolve in the wake of much reconstruction. 

Some of you have been standing in faith for a while, believing for change that has still not manifested. But as I spent time with the Lord this week, I sensed such a momentous shift in the Spirit. I heard Him say:

“I WILL BE AN ENEMY TO YOUR ENEMIES AND A FOE TO YOUR FOES!” (Exodus 23:22.)

I saw that some who have been flying with the Lord in a certain direction for many months, will suddenly see their plane take a hard right turn.  You'll hear your heavenly Pilot announce your new destination. I prophesy to you that destinations that have been hidden or unclear to you will suddenly SHINE and become very visible against the night sky as you prepare to land. The names of your new destinations are written on the rooftops so that you cannot miss them!  

This past season of purging, pruning, darkness, and uncertainty is changing into a season of LIGHT and will come with CONFIDENT ASSURANCE of your new missions and assignments. Wisdom is entering your heart and knowledge will delight your soul! (Proverbs 2:10) Knowledge of HIM will be translated into the knowledge of your future.

Some of you are being RELOCATED in this process of change so that you can fulfill your new orders from the Throne. This is so that God’s GLORY can be released in the exact locations and timings God has determined, according to a preset pattern. While you may have helped “steer” your plane at times, the Spirit has also had you on autopilot and on a precise schedule. You won’t fail, and you can't miss it! 

I hear the Lord saying: “Pay attention to what I’m showing you right now. Pay attention to the patterns and the order of things. Don’t move unless I tell you to. When you move, move in sync with Me and let Me order your steps!” 

There will be a PRECISE ORDER to your steps during this next sequence of events and you must be ready to move WITH the Lord.

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD.
In the early hours one morning this week, I heard Holy Spirit whispering the first five verses of John to me over and over again. As I meditated on these verses, the Spirit said: “Begin with the WORD. Stay in the WORD. Keep your gaze on the WORD, so that you abide WITH GOD.” 

The Word - Jesus - refers to a person, not just the pages of a Bible. Jesus is WITH GOD, and as we keep our gaze on Jesus we abide in Him and remain WITH GOD ourselves. The incarnate WORD OF GOD whom we celebrate this season is also EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US! 

As we abide in the Word we become demonstrations of the WORD ourselves (“the Word WAS GOD”); and the light that shines in the WORD begins to shine in us. This light is unquenchable by darkness: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

The Lord has been highlighting Exodus 23 to me for many weeks. In this chapter, God promises Canaan to the Israelites, saying: “Behold, I send an ANGEL before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO HIM and obey his voice; do not rebel against him… for MY NAME IS IN HIM.” (Exodus 23:21; emphasis mine.) 

Many scholars believe that the “Angel of the Lord” who appears so frequently in Old Testament scriptures refers to Christ Himself - a God who, although He did not appear in our timeline until much later, is nevertheless not confined to time. The Redeemer of all reveals Himself to the likes of Joshua, Gideon, Moses, and Manoah even before His birth on earth, simply because He can! 

The Word - Jesus our Emmanuel - is ever-present, from the beginning and even before the foundations of the earth were laid, and the Word is still with us now. 

This is why the promise of the Lord “I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes” is so powerful today. GOD THE AVENGER is fighting for justice, to bring you into YOUR promised land. He is not slack in keeping His promises. 

Meditate on the MIGHT of God described in Exodus 23:27-31:

“I will send My terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you. I will not drive them out in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out… until YOU have increased and possess the land. And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.” (ESV)

The Holman translation of that last verse clarifies: “I will place the inhabitants of the land under your control, and you will drive them out ahead of you.” 

I feel so strongly that these are promises for YOU to decree today over your own lives and situations. The work of the enemy in the past few years has been to oppress like the Midianites, and to use widespread fear as a means of controlling God’s people. I hear the Lord saying: “I have given these enemies into YOUR control, and YOU will now overthrow them and break their demonic structures in pieces!” 

Freedom does not come without a fight, and you must know that the enemy will oppose you as the Spirit brings you into your land. But it is time to TRUST that the Lord will COMPLETELY DESTROY them as you obey His voice and move with Him, unafraid, at this time.

During the exodus, darkness fell over all the land of Egypt, but the Word says Israel had LIGHT IN ALL THEIR DWELLINGS!” (Exodus 10:23)

Friends, because of the supremacy and preeminence of Christ, who was IN THE BEGINNING and still wants to disclose Himself to you now, you can EXPECT LIGHT to enter you and bring wisdom when things are shrouded or unclear. 

You can EXPECT God to fight on your behalf when you feel your strength is spent and you have nothing but weariness and tears to offer Him. GOD DELIGHTS in you, He is close to the brokenhearted, and He delights in revealing Himself to you! Let the KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST IN YOU delight your soul! 


​WORSHIP is still a powerful key. Continue to cultivate the Presence of the Lord in your homes and your gatherings, saturating yourselves with the sound of HIS VOICE, which thunders against every enemy of your soul and causes even cedars to shake. 

There is NOTHING that is too hard for God. Everything that you see in the natural realm was made by the WORD: “Without Him NOTHING was made that has been made” (John 1:3). In the same way, WITHOUT HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING. 

I’m praying for your breakthroughs as you cling fervently to the Lord our Warrior and Deliverer! Believe in His unchanging LOVE for you. Stir up your gifts! Turn up your worship! Stir yourself up to faith and hope again, for God is giving the inhabitants of the land into YOUR hands!

GIVE THE GIFT OF HOPE THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON!

In October, I released a word about the anointed "Josephs" God was raising up and sending out, a word that had been "brewing" in my spirit for over a year. (You can read the word here.)

As we enter the season of Thanksgiving and celebrating Christ's birth, I invite you to partner with the Joseph anointing yourself as you hear about some of the new things His Inscriptions is helping to birth!
 
The Lord showed me early on that my primary role in the Kingdom of God was to release spiritual treasures from heaven. Like many of you reading this, my gifts are in the seer realm, and I enjoy translating words, concepts, dreams, and spiritual maps to help people navigate their time on earth through heavenly encouragement and perspective.

Others of you, however, have been called by God to learn the principles of multiplication in the marketplace, and you are adept at encouragement through strategic financial support. You know how to transfer the wealth of the world into riches for the Kingdom!

These two gifts represent what the Lord showed me in the October vision as two "tiers," or types, of givers. The Kingdom of God needs both Josephs who open heaven's storehouses and Josephs who open doors to storehouses on earth.

This year, His Inscriptions is partnering with both types of givers to bring hope to our troubled world. A significant portion of all donations received in December will benefit the three missions below:

1. International Outreach: House of Prayer expansion. In June, the Lord instructed my husband and me to open our current home as a House of Prayer (See Isaiah 56:7). It would be known as "My Father's House." 

In a vision, the Father also gave me a deed to a future ministry location. He began to supernaturally connect me with people around the world who shared this vision. He also showed me the faces of the first people He wanted me to invite. While all houses of prayer share a Prayer/Presence/Worship focus, ours was to be by invitation only: Christ's invitation!

His Inscriptions is now following what has already been a very fruitful pattern, ministering to leaders God sends through a shared meal, fellowship, worship, prayer, and communion. We are receiving very positive feedback from those who come.

Although I knew little about the House of Prayer movement before this year, God began asking me to support or ignite others' visions as well. His Inscriptions is now helping to plant and expand the reach of other Houses of Prayer besides our own (see #3 below, for one such testimony). 

As we function as a spiritual "Josephs" by building My Father's House, I invite you to partner with us financially by sowing into the House of Prayer and our vision for the future.

2. National Outreach: HOPE booklet sent to prisoners and the homeless. Reader and friend Angie Woodard has written a 14-day devotional called "Getting Your Hope On." Angie is an anointed  writer who knows from years of experience how to minister to those struggling with addiction, shame, and hopelessness. When she told me about the book she had written, I immediately wanted to support her efforts to put God's words into prisoners' hands! (We hope to make this booklet available on our website soon.)


3. Local Outreach: Care package outreach to at-risk youth: A string of four suicides within five months on a local New England college campus caused friend and business owner Christine Najem to create care packages, including "The Father's Love Letter" pamphlets, for troubled students on campus. Each bag costs about $15 to make, and His Inscriptions will donate a portion of the cost as we are able.

Incidentally, Christine was the first visitor to our House of Prayer here a few months ago. Her office is located next to a psychic's home, which has of course been troublesome at times.

When Christine  heard the vision for Houses of Prayer, she realized she could open the doors of her own office to stressed students who walked by daily. She now offers coffee and prayer to those in need - a "prophetic" solution to a "psychic" problem! She hopes to stem the tide of suicide, whose death rates represent the second leading cause of death for 15- to 24-year-olds.

AN IMPARTATION FOR MULTIPLICATION
As Dutch Sheets insightfully noted, at Pentecost it was said that the Holy Spirit "added to the number daily" those who were being saved. Yet after the apostles laid hands on seven more deacons to address the growing need for food distribution among widows, there was a transfer of power not only for natural food distribution, but also for spiritual food distribution! Stephen, Philip, and others became witnesses to the supernatural power of God! After that "impartation point" in the book of Acts, the descriptive term for Kingdom growth changed from "added" to "multiplied!"* 

His Inscriptions is a generous ministry which gave 22% of its donations to deserving ministries last year. We support known ministries that distribute the Word of God to hungry children, growing leaders, and persecuted believers at home and abroad.

I invite you to become a Joseph-anointed distributor of spiritual and natural resources in this new era as you partner with His Inscriptions. I pray that as you give generously, you will be anointed generously to become powerful witnesses yourselves of God's amazing Kingdom multiplication!

WATCH AND PRAY! GOD IS POSITIONING YOU TO RELEASE THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AROUND THE WORLD

For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

​Dear Friends, 

Early in the morning on November 14, 2021, I was worshiping Jesus, inviting Him to share His heart. He began speaking to me about “The watch of the Lord.” 

Intercessors often describe the “watch of the Lord” as an all-night prayer meeting; watching and praying for Israel; or perhaps being “watchful” against the enemy. All are essential! 

Yet at this particular time, I felt a strong desire in Christ’s heart for us to remember to WATCH HIM. 


CALLED TO WATCH
The disciples' first authentic "watch of the Lord" began the day they could no longer see Jesus in person.

The Lord instructed His followers to gather and pray for the powerful gift the Father would pour out on them (Acts 1-2). The disciples watched and prayed until they saw the Lord return in a new form: the person of the Holy Spirit!

Believers will not see healings, resurrections, or any greater works if we do not understand that spiritual gifts are not simply “tools” in our arsenal.

Just as every fruit of the Spirit IS the Spirit of God; so every gift of the Spirit IS Jesus Himself - and vice versa! 

Christ IS the Word of Knowledge. He IS Wisdom Incarnate! To encounter Jesus is to encounter the prophetic, healing, and miracles! 

Believers are meant to watch the Lord closely enough to see the very movement of His eyes. (See Psalm 32:8) We know nothing and can do nothing without understanding Christ’s heart. We MUST watch!

When Jesus was facing His worst trial in Gethsemane, He asked His disciples to watch and pray. Sadly, his closest friends failed to watch for Him and ended up betraying Him. 

As we experience increasing levels of evil in these end times, it’s even more important to be watchful so that we avoid the dangers of attacks and the temptation of apostasy.

Are you watching? Are you living near enough to God’s heart to discern His slightest move? Can He call you His close friend?


​CALLED TO ASCEND
At times, as we climb the mountain of God’s Presence in prayer, drawing nearer and nearer, we find that fog and clouds obscure our vision. This temporary loss of sight happens as fear, hopelessness, weariness, and depression seem to blanket us, signalling defeat. 

Remember: the Israelites did not even have the courage to approach Mount Sinai, let alone ascend it! It is our authentic desire for the Lord that fuels us to press on and ascend until we are above these storms and can see His face once again.

CALLED TO RELEASE POWER AND LIGHT
As I continued my watch in the Spirit that morning, the Lord brought me, in a vision, to a door in a heavenly place. 

Above the lintel of this doorway I saw the words: “War Room.” No code was required for entry, and the door was already open; those who watch with the Lord are brought freely into such places!

The room looked like a high-tech situation room. Generals of an army were present here, sending and receiving intel from various sources. 

The room’s most salient features were the panels of electrical switches on every wall. There was an elaborate arrangement of giant electrical panels, screens, and audio equipment. 

The panels and switches were all grey. Through these switch-covered walls one could catch glimpses of all the nations of the earth outside.  

I heard the Spirit say: “He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth.” (Isaiah 40:22.) I then saw a vision of the room’s exterior: it was located with the Lord, high above the earth, and the world seemed to be a small globe underneath Him in the vast expanse of the night sky.


POSITIONED TO ACTIVATE GLORY
Inside the war room, one could look out through the switch panels to see every nation on the North, South, East, or West. Each panel contained dozens of switches. Each switch was was designated for a particular area within each nation. Yet there were no wires connected to these switches. 

Instead of wires to transport electricity, the switches that were ON had LIGHT radiating out of them. 

However, I was surprised to see that a good percentage of the switches had not yet been activated for some reason; no light was being emitted from these.

It became clear to me that the dominant mission of the Lord Jesus here was to turn ON the lights in every nation; He wanted His glory-light to cover the earth. I wondered, though: why didn't He simply turn on all the switches at once? He certainly had the power to do so! 

As if to answer my question, Jesus asked me: “Would you like to activate one of these switches? Where would you like to see the light appear?”

I answered that it should begin in the East, in China. I was concerned about the persecution in this nation; a hidden remnant needed ongoing supernatural access to His provision and protection.

The Lord had me stretch out my hand and flip up one of the switches on the eastern wall or “panel” of His war room. 

When I did, a beam of light shot out from the switch, traveling through the atmosphere until it reached its target in China. It was understood in the vision that God’s glory would now illuminate that location, empowering believers there to see clearly how to continue to live for Him.

In my human reasoning, I was still puzzled as to why this process of illumination and covering the earth with Christ’s glory-light seemed so slow! Why would Someone with such obvious power confine Himself to a strategy that enlightened only certain people or regions at a time? 
​​  The Lord did not reply to this question in my heart, but turned me away from the wall so that I noticed a large table in the center of the war room.
On the table were piles of huge maps. ​On top of the pile was a map of China.

I moved closer to inspect it; the map seemed different than the maps I was used to seeing on earth. 

I noticed that while the boundaries of the nation and its salient characteristics were inscribed on the map, within its defining lines were not just cities but actual people, who appeared three-dimensional and were dressed in the garb of their nation. The people were small, Lego-sized, but alive and moving across the map. 

I saw that not all the nation’s people were represented here, but only some. The ones I did see were all being carefully watched by the Lord as they moved from place to place. 

By Jesus’s thoughts or through His heart alone, without touching them in any way, He was orchestrating their movements and their connections with others so as to build the Kingdom of God. The very nation itself seemed to be obeying the desires of His heart! 

I was overcome with a desire to pray not only for the light of His glory to illuminate the nation, but also for the people themselves. I prayed for those on the map who were carrying the Gospel to the lost and for those who were hungry enough to receive it. I prayed for the Lord’s laborers to be supernaturally protected, and for the Lord’s provision to be released to those who had need of it. I prayed for believers to be invisible to their persecutors so that their missions could be fulfilled. 

In the vision, there were two ways of sending LIGHT into the nations. A believer could be activated and physically sent into the nation as a “beam” of light - a missionary or evangelist carrying God’s glory. Or Christ could bring a believer into His war room to activate and empower other such “lights” through prayer. 

I sensed Jesus saying that it was so important for us to know the times, seasons, and individual callings He is revealing right now, so that each member of His Body is in the right place at the right time.~
In Acts 12:5-10, the early church is found in their own “war room” offering constant prayer to God concerning Peter’s imprisonment. In the middle of the night, the church’s prayers release both LIGHT and an ANGELIC ACTIVATION to persecuted Peter, causing his supernatural release from prison: 

“...When Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. 

“Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.  

“Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.”

Similarly, in Acts 13:1-3 we find prophets and teachers fasting and praying together in the “war room” of the church at Antioch. As the Presence of God falls, Holy Spirit reveals that Paul and Barnabas are to be sent out on a new missionary journey to the nations.

​THE WATCHFUL SHEPHERD
​We serve a God who moves at the speed of relationship, always prioritizing the worker over the work. ​

Jesus is working through the specific desires of our hearts, causing us either to pray and support others from our own personal war rooms or to go out into places needing light. Those at home share in the spoils of the victories abroad! 

As this “war room encounter" illustrates, you can trust that your God-given assignments are uniquely designed and very intentionally given. He is waiting for your partnership in prayer, which will activate and empower not just you, but many others. Not only that: HE IS ACTIVELY WATCHING OVER YOU to see that all your assignments are fulfilled in their correct timing. 

The Watchful Shepherd is positioning His Body now to release His glory and light around the world. As you passionately pursue Jesus’s heart through obedience and worship, your own watchfulness will be rewarded. Those who seek Him diligently DO find Him! 

I’m praying that your encounters with Christ’s glory will activate each one of you as a light-bearing force in whatever nation you are called.

DO NOT ALLOW EVIL TO BECOME ENTRENCHED! TAKE UP YOUR SWORD!

A war is a series of battles, not just a “one-and-done.” Satan, the enemy of our souls, is prepared to fight for the long haul. Believers today must be equally equipped in the knowledge of God and His Word to defeat him. 

Nearly two years ago, the Lord took me into a vision of His armory. He showed me exquisite swords and weapons hanging on the armory walls. Each sword represented a Scripture verse or strategy that could be used in spiritual warfare. Sadly, for the most part, they were not being used. 

This week, as many of us are taking a firm stand in very difficult times, I feel it is important to re-publish the vision. I want to encourage you to take up your swords for as long as necessary, believing in both the sharpness of each blade and the slickness of each anointing! ​​
Biblical warriors were as married to their swords as present-day prayer warriors can be our cell phones. 2 Samuel 23:10 describes one of David’s mighty men, Eleazer, who “stood his ground and struck the Philistines until his hand grew weary and stuck to his sword.” We’re told that the LORD brought about a great victory because of Eleazer’s perseverance with the sword.

Psalm 30:5 says: “Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” Psalm 12:6 expands on this thought, saying: “The words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible; like gold refined seven times.” Jesus adds in Matthew 4:4 that man LIVES by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.

Every sword in God’s armory is available to believers today. Faith does not shrink back to destruction when weary! There is a weariness that has overtaken many in the Body of Christ right now, but the Lord is raising up warriors that are as captivated by the Word as David was, and as skilled at using it as Eleazer. 

As you read this vision, my prayer is that you will cling to the Word like never before and see continued victories. Whether you speak it, sing it, decree it, or pray it, the Word of God will NEVER return void.

THE ARMORY
​In prayer on January 5, 2020 I saw a vision. In the vision, the Lord gave me a key to an armory.  

I took the key and entered into a spacious room with extraordinarily high ceilings. An iridescent peach-gold light permeated the room, which was much taller than it was wide. On all four walls were beautiful shining swords hung in orderly display. 

From floor to ceiling, these gleaming swords covered the walls and each bore a label of some sort, identifying what it was for and how it was used. I stood in awe of this collection: so exquisite! Yet designed for use, not for show. I wondered how someone of average height like me would ever reach the uppermost swords on the wall? 

As I was contemplating this question, I noticed in the opposite corner of the room an angel of gigantic proportions. The angel was as tall as the ceiling. He was a translucent, winged white presence whose sole function in the armory was to remove swords from the walls as they were needed, giving them to the ones who had requested them. 

Also, in the center of the room there was a rectangular glass case, where I saw someone carefully wrapping a brand new sword, recently cataloged, in a beige linen cloth of some kind. This weapon, too, was to be displayed in God’s armory. 

I heard the Lord say:

“The reason the battle is raging around you is that you have not fought it off! Remember your legal rights and take up one of the swords hanging on My armory walls - do you see them? For I have a collection of swords that gleams and shines with sharpness and readiness for battle. There are angels here who do nothing but sharpen swords for your use. Sadly, the weapons in this armory are largely unused.
 
CHOOSE YOUR SWORD - any sword you can handle or get a "grip" on - and wield it in the Spirit. Practice! 

Yes, I am a collector of swords, but these are not meant to collect dust! They are not just trophies of a previous time, but tested and true weapons I Myself maintain for your use. I guarantee them. And I repair them when they are damaged.* 

Take up the sword and fight, dear ones, for the battle is not over yet - and other battles will follow. I am giving you keys to this armory today, that you might enter and use these weapons AS YOU WISH. There is NOTHING - no good tool or instrument of benefit - that I would withhold from you! I Myself will do the maintenance, the sharpening, the exchanging and the training if you will but prepare and gird yourselves for battle! 

The longer you allow evil to have dominion, the more entrenched it will become. PUSH BACK against the enemy and you will be astounded how quickly I come to your rescue! 

You have not yet fully tested Me in the realm of your authority, and the reason for that is your own fears have prevented you. When you see how fickle and false those fears are, you will no longer hesitate to go to battle, for you will know your victory is assured! 

Eye has not seen nor ear heard nor heart understood the things I have prepared for you! Believe in My goodness and let Me work on the ones who don't. Just as I converted you, so I can - and will - convert them also. 

Even when you are the sole soldier on the field you are still not alone, for at your disposal are legions of angels, ready to fight on your day of battle. (Psalm 110). I will not leave you defenseless, for I am defense itself: your defense! I will not leave you orphaned, for you are already adopted as sons and daughters in My household. 

Look at Jesus - the example of One who moved freely between sword and scepter: from a place of seated authority into the place of battle as required. You WILL have to fight, dear ones; there is no way around this truth. But you will be assured of victory because I  have fought successfully and won it! 

Follow Me through the patterns of your lives, in times of rest and times of war, and let Me decide which battles are necessary for you. 

Do not be deceived. Nothing is automatic, but do not be deceived into thinking the battle is hopeless, either. MY CALL TO FIGHT IS A CALL TO VICTORY! It is an opportunity to see My miracles and boast of My successes!

He who does not fight does not have the trials or testimonies that make a warrior. Respect yourselves enough to fight for what you already believe. Faith without works - without a fight - is dead! Tested faith produces victory.”

Every “logos” Word of God is a timeless, tested sword you can use in battle. (See Ephesians 6) Likewise, every God-breathed prophetic word is a “rhema” sword, carrying a sharp anointing that can penetrate the darkness and divide between soul and spirit, bringing you the victory! (See 1 Timothy 1:18.)

The words of faith - the swords - you have fought with in previous years are still at your disposal, like the sword of Goliath. Yet there are MANY more! There are new words with new tactics for new battles. It is time to pull these swords off the walls and begin to fight for your promises!

I hear a battle cry resounding from heaven right now. Your victory is assured in Christ. The only thing stopping you from crossing over into your promised land is YOU, for the terror of the Lord has already fallen upon your enemies. Jesus has given you the keys to the Kingdom and all authority is in His Name. 

It’s time to choose your weapon. Take up a sword and fight!

* The Word of the Lord is undamageable, flawless, and true. But our understanding of the Word is often flawed, and this is the context in which I heard this truth: God repairs and restores broken or “damaged” views of Him and His Word, helping us learn to use our swords correctly as we mature in Him.

THE LORD IS CALLING THE DISILLUSIONED BACK INTO THEIR DESTINIES!

In September of this year, at the close of Rosh Hashanah, I had an encounter with the Lord Jesus in what seemed to be the throne room of heaven. The focus of the encounter was on specific sons and daughters who had felt pressured by the enemy to step away from their God-given callings or divine destinies. 

For a variety of reasons, these chosen ones had adopted a “wait-and-see” attitude concerning God's current Kingdom plans. I saw that the Lord wanted to reignite faith and boldness in these disillusioned leaders. He is breaking off demonic hindrances of apathy and reluctance, encouraging them to fulfill their destiny in His amazing Kingdom plan!

A VISION OF THE LORD'S OVERARCHING PLAN
On September 8, 2021, I was awakened at 4 AM and taken into a vision of heaven. 

I joined the Lord near the throne, in the vastness of this heavenly place which was full of movement and beauty. The Lord Jesus asked me to come, sit, and look at Him. When I did, He asked: “What do you see?”

I began to take in the details of the One sitting to my left. The Lord wore a long robe, but I was surprised to see that He wore no crown in this vision. His hair was brown, and His hands were folded in His lap. His posture was completely relaxed. 

Although Jesus was speaking with me, He was not leaning on the arm of His chair or using any of the telltale “relational cues” we might normally use to indicate interest in another’s conversation or to encourage them to speak. 

Instead, the Lord appeared to be absolutely peaceful and contented. There was a security in Christ’s identity that is rarely seen on earth. 

Despite the throne, the Lord seemed so “non-Kingly” to me in this encounter that I answered His question by saying: “I see that You are appearing as a Man, and you seem to have no urgent agenda.” 

The Lord affirmed that this was true, saying: "I do not force My will or agenda on people, as many men do. I have given man the power of choice. However, I DO have an agenda for My Kingdom. I DO invite people into their Destinies!” 

As He made the last statement, immediately a large, constellation-like blueprint or chart opened up above and in front of where we sat, extending from the Lord’s feet to high up in the heavens. 

The chart was massive, resembling the kind of holographic map you might see in a Star Wars movie. There were interconnected lines and points for what seemed like miles overhead, as one might draw a diagram of the constellations and galaxies.

Instead of a round map of the universe, however, this “blueprint” was a tall, oval-shaped timeline, which began at the Lord’s feet (in this case, to represent the time when He walked the earth) and continued to the end of the age, stretching far above us in an arc through the heavenly realm. 

This superimposed chart, I discovered, represented the Lord’s overarching plan for the unfolding of His Kingdom. 

I have known some leaders who have had tremendous blueprints for their ministries; even been awed by them. Yet this “Master plan” was so massive that it made even the grandest visions and our individual parts in them seem tiny in comparison! 

I then noticed that in a certain portion of this map, there was a piece missing.

REAWAKENING THE FORCE
The Lord reminded me of the Star Wars movie “The Force Awakens,” in which the “Resistance movement” must locate self-exiled Jedi Luke Skywalker in a lost galaxy.

A transgalactic navigational chart is opened up by R2D2, a droid, who has been functioning in "low-power mode" since Luke disappeared. The chart is projected into the air as a holographic image for the Resistance fighters. A second droid, BB-8, then inserts the missing “code” - a secret piece of the chart he has been carrying.

The Resistance needs to locate the site of the first Jedi temple and bring back the one master Jedi who can strengthen the entire force. 

Using this unusual vision of a familiar Hollywood analogy, the Lord began showing me that there were leaders within the Body of Christ who were “lost” or “self-exiled” because of their fear of failure. 

Just as Luke Skywalker possessed great powers but was tormented by past failures, so there are now well-qualified leaders who are hiding from the front lines today because of the sting of previous battles. 

The Lord revealed that the strength, resources, and spiritual power these warriors possess is being wasted because they believe the lie that if they fully recommit to Christ’s Kingdom plan again, they will fail. 

Their issue is not one of identity, but fear.

These leaders know who they are and what they possess! Yet because of advancing age, weariness, or a reluctance to move past the offenses and unforgiveness of previous seasons, they are withholding themselves from actively serving on the front lines or passing on what they know to a younger generation of warriors and believers. 

The self-protective and in some cases, self-exiled stance they are taking seems to them to be wisdom, when in truth it is nothing more than fear. 

As the vision ended, I heard the Spirit say: “My righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” 

I believe the Lord wants to reawaken those who once accepted His invitation to build or fight on His behalf, but have since laid down their tools and weapons out of disillusionment or fear of another failure.

OUR RESPONSE DEPENDS ON YOUR REPONSE
These leaders - “destined” ones who previously accepted Christ’s invitation - possess an important, time-sensitive piece of God's blueprint or timeline. Until they contribute their parts, however tiny they seem in the broader vision, other members of the Body may function in “low power mode.” 

Dear Friends, if you are reading these words, you have a part to play in the unfolding end-time plans for our world today. YOU are a much-needed member of God’s “resistance” army that is arising all over the world in response to new enemy offenses! 

If you are among those who are more advanced in age, you are no less important to the resistance effort!

David’s final task was not to build the house of the Lord himself, but to prepare his son Solomon to reign. With the resources, skill, and connections David had, he gathered both people and supplies and laid them at the feet of one whose youth and energy would help carry him further into the future. Not only that, but he also publicly installed Solomon as the new king and prepared the way for his son to succeed.

Christ, like David, has gone ahead of us to prepare the way for believers to triumph over their enemies. He has gifted us with spiritual weapons and tools we must pick up and use if we are to complete the work He has called us to! 

None of us is indispensable, and as the vision indicates, the Lord will love and never pressure His sons and daughters to comply with His agenda. Yet Christ clearly demonstrated to me that there are still those He hopes will reawaken and recommit to the cause of His Kingdom. 

Your role may change in this new season; you may not be called to the front lines as before, but will you answer the invitation to come out of hiding and support those who are? 

Will you return to your rightful place as a “destined one” who has the unique ability to release fresh wisdom, power, and strength to an army that is struggling to overcome oppression, division, sickness and fear? Our response depends on your response!

When you do, lost souls will come home. Battles will turn into victories. And you will receive the crowning joy of honoring the Lord's intricately beautiful blueprint, which has unfolded through the ages until now ~ and still has more to come!
