BELIEVE GOD FOR SUPERNATURAL PROTECTION AND PROVISION

Picture
Dear Friends,

During a time of worship this morning, The Lord reminded me of David's words in Psalm 139:11-12:

"If I say, 'Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,' even the darkness is not dark to You; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You."

The Lord then spoke these words into my heart:

“I will come and visit those who open the doors of their hearts to Me in this dark hour.

As distractions fade and what seems like a demonic covering enshrouds you, I will enter as LIGHT: a covering of glory no man can restrain! Do not fear darkness, but welcome light just as Israel in Egypt welcomed light into all their dwellings.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart! You have nothing to fear when the Prince of Peace and the Ruler of the Kingdom of Light dwells within you!”

I felt it was more important than ever to hear and obey the voice of the Lord, opening our hearts to His Word and relying solely on His counsel so that we can overcome present difficulties.

In times of deep darkness, only supernatural power can protect and enlighten our paths.

Picture SUPERNATURAL PROVISION
This word concerning supernatural light brought to mind a similar encounter I had on September 23, 2021, which I believe the Lord asked me to share with you today.

During the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), while I was away on an extended prayer retreat, I was meditating on Psalm 90:14: “Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”

I contemplated this verse for quite a while, praying that the Lord would make the verse a reality both in my life and in the Body of Christ.
PIC: Psalm 90:14
Suddenly I heard the Lord say, “Come and dine with Me.”

God prepares a table for His people in the presence of their enemies! Yet just as the disciples assisted Jesus in preparing the Last Supper, so we also have a part to play in current Kingdom preparations.

I believe the encounter that follows will encourage and strengthen anyone who has concerns about the days to come.
THE VISION
I was taken into a vision of a formal dining room which I have visited twice before, in previous encounters.

The room was very large, elegant, and rectangular in shape. It seemed to be saturated in deep yellow-gold tones. A long table dominated the center of the room, covered with a white tablecloth and candelabra. There were servers and buffet tables along the sides.

I saw Father God sitting at the head of this table, at the far end of the room. Jesus sat on one side of the Father, and as I entered, I was invited to sit at His other side to share a meal.
Picture
I noticed that in the middle of the table, extending down towards the Father, much food had been set out. There was a large pile of red grapes; then fruits; then what appeared to be vegetables, cheese, and other types of food.

I noticed the grapes in particular because they seemed so dominant. They were more abundant than the rest of the offerings.

When I asked the Lord about them, He answered that they represented the fruit of the Vine: works done by our abiding in Christ.

As I listened to His words, a deeper revelation began to penetrate my spirit: these grapes - in fact, all of the food I saw here - represented the “fruit” of our obedience to the Lord.

The Father explained that each time a believer obeys Christ they are “setting the table” for Him, providing delicious food on which He “feasts.” This is one way in which He shares communion with us.

It was clear in the vision that our obedience “fed” not only the Body of Christ, but also the Lord Himself. The fruit of obedience released the blessings of abundance, satisfying our souls and delighting the Lord.

Picture A DIVINE FEAST
In John 5, Jesus describes the ability and necessity His disciples have to eat and drink of His Body and Blood. It is a teaching that causes many of His followers to fall away. True believers know that Christ’s Body and Blood literally sustain us, especially in times of fasting or famine.

Yet this “Sukkot” vision confirmed that there is communion and fellowship for the Trinity as well, as they partake of what we provide for their table. Our obedience delights and satisfies the Lord as much as any “feast” on earth satisfies us. To see a vision of this truth brought great joy to me!

As humbling as this revelation was, I then saw the Father hold out something for me in His hand, saying: “Eat.”

The food seemed to be a cake of some kind. Father stretched out his hand to me and put the cake in my mouth. When I ate it, my entire being was satisfied by His ministry to me.

I remembered Elijah, who discovered an angel-baked cake outside the cave at Horeb. The cake was meant to strengthen him for an upcoming journey. Only the Father was feeding me in this case, not simply leaving a cake for me to find!

I had the sense that the Lord was saying: “The journey will be too much for you otherwise.” I knew that He wanted to prepare His Body for what was to come.

I heard the Spirit say that just as believers had the ability to “feed” the Lord through our obedience, setting good food on His table, so our obedience to Him enabled us to feed His sheep. As believers obey God’s words, we set a divine feast for the Body of Christ, even as Joseph did during a time of famine.

At this point in the encounter, I looked up at the wall behind where Christ was sitting. On the wall was something the Lord called “A Masterpiece.” It seemed to be a 19th century French oil painting which closely resembled the work of an artist like Julien Dupre or Jean-Francois Millet.

It was a picture of the harvest: a woman in the field, carrying sheaves of grain on her shoulder.

All four gospels tell the story of the feeding of the 5,000. When the disciples ask Jesus how they will provide food for so many people, Jesus replies: “YOU give them something to eat!” (Matthew 14; Mark 6; Luke 9; John 6)

A simple lunch from a little boy proves more than enough for Christ to multiply and satisfy His Body.

I believe the Lord was reminding His people of our unique call to provide sustenance - natural and spiritual - to those around us during this harvest-time. He wants us to accept His invitation to share fellowship and communion as we “dine” with Him, then release that provision to the world, no matter how dark our situations seem.

His Inscriptions was created in 2014 through a prophetic word from the Lord to fill a storehouse or “silo” online with spiritual words that would edify many. We were told that year that there would be “seven years of plenty, followed by seven years of famine.”

In the middle of this year’s Feast of Tabernacles, the Lord reminded me that 2021 marks exactly seven years since this particular  “silo” - which is just one of many - began to be filled. The fruit of obedience creates a feast for those who are famished. God’s Word is full of everything needed to sustain life and godliness in dark times!

We live in an end-time age of apostasy, like the Laodicean church in Revelation 3.

The Laodicean church was said to be the worst of the seven churches Christ addressed in the book of Revelation, due to their lukewarm apathy. How interesting it is, in light of this Sukkot encounter, that Jesus mentions He will “vomit her out of His mouth!” Worldly compromise will never “edify” Christ or His Body.

Yet obedient individuals in the Laodicean church are given the most exquisite of all Christ’s promises: those who open to the voice which “knocks” at the door of their hearts will sit down to dine with the Lord. Those who overcome worldliness and apathy will sit with the Risen Christ on His glorious throne. There is no greater intimacy promised to believers in our time!

The vision I received during the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles is meant to be a picture of what obedience looks and tastes like to our Lord. There is such overflowing joy in His heart when we obey!

Those who abide in Christ have nothing to fear in the coming days. Life, light, and sustenance are promised to those who remain in the Vine, Jesus Christ.

I pray that even your most private acts of obedience to Christ will open your heart’s door to heavenly fellowship and provision, glorious light that deep darkness can’t overcome, and a satisfying union with the One who is the Source of all good things!

"JOSEPHS" ARE BEING RELEASED WITH HEAVENLY INTEL AND NATURAL RESOURCES!

In today’s post, I want to share several important visions, along with a confirming dream that comes from a trusted prophetic friend of mine. They give an inside look at of how godly government is now being released to overcome demonic agendas.

Please share this post with those who have a desire to see God's glory released in greater measure. You'll find prayer points at the end of the post.

THE "JOSEPH" VISION
Two years ago I had a vision of an ancient-looking man who appeared to be walking along a dirt road in Israel. He was clothed in a multi-colored garment which covered a white tunic underneath. He wore brown sandals on his feet.

This Bible character’s hair was dark. He had a turban on his head, and he was looking down as he walked. He was neither happy nor sad, but had a thoughtful, determined look on his face.

What stood out most to me was that he carried a modern-day backpack filled with scrolls. His name, I knew in the vision, was “Joseph.”

That was the end of the vision.

THE SECOND VISION: TWO “TIERS” OF JOSEPHS
On March 6, 2021, I was ministering at a church in Tennessee. Quite unexpectedly, in the middle of an early-morning prayer time I had a second "Joseph" vision.

I looked into an ancient cave and saw that there were twelve Josephs standing inside.

Each man looked the same as the first Joseph I had seen in the earlier vision. Each had his own backpack. There was nothing else in the cave but two long, white folding tables covered with scrolls.

The twelve Josephs were quietly loading scrolls into their backpacks before beginning their journeys. It was clear that they had a traveling apostolic ministry of some sort.

Holy Spirit began speaking to me about the vision, saying that there were two tiers of Joseph-anointed believers being released by heaven. These tiers did not represent levels or ranks; but functions.

The first tier represented Josephs who ascended to heaven‘s storehouses to pull down to the earth the supernatural wisdom and resources needed directly from the Throne. Their work was done first through prayer, and then through the communication of Divine intelligence.

The second tier represented Josephs who tapped into existing supplies on the earth. These men and women knew how to multiply resources or create storehouses in the natural world that would benefit the Kingdom of God during times of need. These were the generous givers and wise investors who believed that their resources belonged ultimately to God.

Picture THE MEANING OF THE VISIONS
In the book of Genesis, Joseph had the authority to open and close the storehouses of Egypt at will.

In the same way, God is now raising up believers who have the governmental authority of heaven (represented by the number 12) to release end-time provisions both spiritual and natural into the earth.

A time of both famine and harvest is upon us. As evil governance increases, God’s righteous government is also emerging. Man has the choice to support either explosive growth or explosive destruction, depending on whose side is taken. Isaiah tells us that there will be no end to the increase of Godly government.

The world is looking for “Josephs” to arise: those whose spiritual backpacks are filled with the supernatural wisdom that causes great increase.

In the most difficult circumstances, God is increasingly causing committed believers to move as the Spirit-led, supernatural beings they truly are. It is only by following the blueprints of heaven that we succeed!

The time for lax, compromised Christianity is over. Christians who make a difference on the earth today must be empowered by the supernatural to overcome evil. These are the ones who see governmental opposition as a Sovereign opportunity leading to Divine promotion: the glory of God!

Picture THE THIRD VISION: DEMONIC JOSEPHS
On September 17th of this year, I had a third encounter in which Holy Spirit said: “The time for releasing the twelve Josephs is here. This spiritual tier of “Josephs” will be sent out worldwide to help ignite revival.”

Immediately after hearing this, I was taken into a vision. I saw the twelve Josephs again.

The first tier of Josephs - those able to engage heaven - were now being sent out to release the glory of God in strategic locations. They seemed to have undercover missions which ignited surprise spiritual “explosions” in each region.

However, as I continued to watch, I heard the Spirit warn: “There are also twelve demonic counterparts to heaven’s Josephs. These “counterfeit Josephs” have already been sent out by the enemy on suicide missions with the goal of disseminating fear rather than faith.”

I saw that the counterfeit Josephs also carried backpacks, but that their backpacks were full of bombs

Immediately the vision ended and I remembered the Boston Marathon bombing in April of 2015, along with the more recent Capitol Hill bombing last January.

I was alarmed and began seeking the Lord in prayer, asking: “What can we do? How do we stop this from happening?”

The Lord said: “You cannot stop this, for they have already been sent out. But you CAN mitigate the damage by praying in advance.”

I was not sure what to do with this information, and began praying as He had directed. Amazingly, within days, a gifted prophetic friend messaged me, saying she’d just had a powerful dream.

THE DREAM: A BOMB AT THE MALL
A reader of His Inscriptions dreamed that she was standing outside of a mall talking on the phone.

While she talked, a robber came by and tried to grab her or her bag, but couldn’t. My friend was not fazed by this, even though he was clearly robbing other people and putting things in his car.

But it became known that the robber was going to bomb the mall.

My friend ended her phone call in order to call her husband, Sam, who was in the mall at the time. She warned Sam to get out of the mall because it was going to blow up.

People  outside the mall, including my friend, began to go up a nearby hill to be far enough away from the bombing that it wouldn’t harm them.

In the dream, Sam didn’t really believe the warning, and was not moved by his wife’s concern. The dream ended and - like me - my friend wasn’t sure what to do with the information.

What’s amazing is that my friend had her dream on September 17, 2021: the exact same day I was given my third vision about the backpack bombers!
GODLY GOVERNMENT IS INCREASING!
Praying friends, I feel compelled to share all this with you to encourage you: godly government and glory IS coming in greater measure! Yet there is also an unmistakable prophetic warning in the Spirit to pray and cover our nation in light of these visions and the confirming dream.

Biblically, Samuel represents the most accurate and respected prophet in the Old Testament. His name means “God has heard.”

Far from causing alarm, the dream shows us that those who remain in prayerful communication with heaven and heed the wisdom of hiding themselves on the hill of the Lord will remain safe! Those who choose to ignore such warnings risk being harmed by demonic emissaries bent on destruction.
JOSEPH'S "WEAPONS"
Both Joseph and Jesus shunned military or nationalistic weapons to bring about justice in their days.

When Joseph finally reached his position of governance in Pharaoh’s kingdom, he was a broken man who was, like Christ, acquainted with sorrow, grief, and rejection. His life’s journey had equipped him with the weapons of humility and compassion.

Because Joseph emerged with a different “grid,” or framework, for healing and personal authority, he wept with compassion when his brothers returned to him, despite their previous harsh treatment.

Empowered by supernatural love, Joseph became the source of life-giving blessings and provision to his family in a time of deep famine and need. He could be considered a "tier two" Joseph with respect to these visions.

Jesus relied on the weapons of prayer and compassion to bring heaven to earth. He fed people with heavenly food and used "Divine intel" to strengthen and heal His people. He would be considered a "tier one" type of Joseph.

God is now prospering and releasing modern-day Josephs - both men and women - so that they can build, strengthen, feed, and care for our Kingdom family. Let's be among those who pray for the release of God's glory and the protection of God's people through the unique gifts these "Josephs" possess!

PLEASE JOIN ME!
Please join me by using these prayer points as you intercede:

~ That those commissioned by heaven as “Josephs” in this hour will hear the call, receive their scrolls, and respond, releasing either spiritual or natural provisions as needed. Pray that these men and women are protected and unharmed as they fulfill their God-given missions. Ask the Lord: "Am I called to be one of them?"

~ That the Lord will intervene and set angelic ambushes against any terrorists who seek to rob, kill, destroy, or preempt what God is doing.

~ That in the wake of any authentic warnings in our nation, people will have the wisdom to “ascend the hill” of the Lord’s Presence and hide themselves until danger passes.

Proverbs 27:12 (note the repeated numbers 27 and 12, as in the visions) says: “A wise man sees trouble and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.”

~ Decree that any successful attempts to bomb our nation will have minimal damage and NO LOSS OF LIFE! (See 2 Peter 3:9)

~ That the Lord will alert YOU to places where He needs “boots on the ground” to pray in advance of any potential attacks. Every place where you set your foot becomes holy ground. Allow Holy Spirit to alert you, just as He did my friend, to the specific locations that need a prayer covering at this time.

Not sure what to pray? Use Psalm 91 as your prayer or decree in each place!

~That readers and friends of His Inscriptions will continue to have their senses trained to discern between good and evil, and will SAY SOMETHING WHEN THEY SEE SOMETHING.

Jesus did nothing without SEEING what Father was doing first. (John 5:19.) The revelatory intel God gives is meant to bless and protect His Body in even the most difficult seasons. What we see and hear in heaven is to be proclaimed from the rooftops!

~That fear will be displaced as the knowledge of the glory of God covers the earth. (Habakkuk 2:14.)

God bless you,
Deborah

REST, FAITH, AND AUTHORITY

Picture
Dear Friends,

I’m sending a brief post today to let you know that during the month of September, His Inscriptions will be offline as I spend extended time in prayer.

One of our His Inscriptions readers, a longtime friend and intercessor herself, has graciously shared her home with me while she and her husband travel to Europe. My amazing family has also released me to rest and focus exclusively on the Lord during this time. (Give them some love if you're nearby!)

It’s interesting to me that Christians call prayer times like these retreats.  I’d much rather call them advances!

When we take time to rest from labor and seek the Lord’s face, we tap into spiritual empowerment like no other. Not even an expensive vacation can recharge the human spirit the way time with the Lord can - because it’s the ministry of the Spirit that gives life to both body and soul!

As I “advance” to a more private location with the Lord, I’ve asked my dear friend and board member Elizabeth Cartier to share her thoughts with you on the importance of rest, in hope that you’ll join me in focusing more deeply on the Lord this month.

Special thanks to those who have sent me encouraging words lately. I value your prayers for protection, refreshment, and clarity as I tune my ears to our Good Shepherd’s wonderful voice!

Blessings,
Deborah

REST, FAITH, AND AUTHORITY

‘For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling.’
Isaiah 30:15

When you hear the word rest, what do you think of?

For some of us, it might be: “I don't have time to do that, I’m too busy!"

Most of us have the choice of what we do with our time. But when the Lord invites you into His rest, what do you say to His invitation?

Deborah said “Yes” to the Lord when He called her away to rest. That’s why I am writing this post, so our faithful sister in the Lord can rest and listen to Him.

My prayer is that you, too, would say: “Yes, Lord.”

I ask the Lord to order my steps throughout the day. But times of rest instead of action are not always easy! We want to do what we want to do, as Isaiah writes in the scripture above.

Yet the Lord says when we return to Him in repentance and rest, we are saved; we find strength in that place of quietness and trust. I pray you’ll be willing to obey when He calls!

The enemy is the one who pushes us to do; work; act. Satan causes us to doubt the Lord’s command to come away and rest. Do you trust the Lord enough to let go of your plans and do only what He is doing?

One day recently, the Lord spoke to me three times through three different sources, saying: “It’s time For the Giants to fall: the Giants of Fear, Doubt and Unbelief!” This was a word for the Body of Christ, not just for me.

It is time for believers to rise up against fear. Fear is not from God; God gives us power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

It is time to take our delegated authority and use it for good and for His glory: “And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.” Luke 9:1

It is time to believe God, to take Him at His Word! There is no place for fear, doubt, or unbelief in the Body of Christ.

The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is in us who believe.” Romans 8:11

“For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts.” Psalm 95:7-8

It is never a good time to doubt what God is saying! His words are all trustworthy: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge Him in all your ways and he will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

How do you hear from God? What is He saying to you?

Don’t let the enemy cause you to doubt God’s voice. It is the oldest lie in the Book! The serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He asked Eve: “Did God really say?" Genesis 3:1

Ask God in faith for what you know you need and agree with Him in what you see Him doing: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubt, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6

Don't be like a tossing wave. Be like Peter, who when he saw Jesus and heard Him say “Come,” believed, got out of the boat, and walked on the water to Jesus.

It is time to get out of your boat and walk in the places to which He is calling you.

If you are struggling to hear God’s voice, rest in His presence with His Word, for that is the place where He speaks. His words are written to you, His beloved, and you can trust them!  You can also trust that He hears your prayers.

It is time to connect with the people with whom He’s calling you to walk in this new season. Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.  (Proverbs 27:17)

The Lord is in the business of connecting his children for purpose and destiny. Your season of transition doesn’t mean God is not at work! He is there, in the hallways and the doorways of transition. He is reconnecting us to Himself and to one another. God is inviting us into the new things He’s doing.

Rest and reflect: What are the new things God is doing in your life? Your family? Your ministry? God is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us! (Ephesians 3:20)

I hear the Lord saying: “Go in Faith!” Let your faith rest - not in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5)

PRAY FOR REVIVAL!

Picture
Dear Friends,

Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend the  "Jesus Gathering" in central Massachusetts. Friends of His Inscriptions alerted me to these gatherings, which also took place in California and Texas this year.

The purpose of these gatherings is to unite believers of any denomination as they allow the Holy Spirit to move freely through worship, fellowship, and prayer - with no agenda.

The Lord moved powerfully! I want to share a few brief testimonies with you from that time together.

On Saturday morning, some of us gathered in the Douglas Camp chapel where Charles Finney once preached. This is a wonderful, large barn-like building* with sky-high beams and a truly "New England" feel to it!

Almost immediately, the Spirit of intercession fell and I was impressed to share a short testimony about how God brought me to college in New England 36 years ago.

I told the story of how the Christian founders of Wellesley College (along with several other local universities) had prayed that if the school ever ceased to glorify God, it would burn to the ground.

On March 17, 1914, Wellesley did burn, and nearly closed.  (Details here and here.)

Nearly every Christian-founded university in New England now operates from intellectual and worldly, idolatrous spirits, not honoring the Lord or their founders' ideals.

We prayed corporately for the fire of God to return to these New England institutions, and to touch the youth which come from all nations into the Boston area. After an anointing for healing and deliverance fell, we spent the next hour ministering individually to one another.

Dates are significant, and one of the most interesting things about the March 17th, 1914 date is that it corresponds to our March 17, 2020 shutdown from COVID-19, 106 years later.

What's remarkable is that this year, 2021, marks 106 years since the start of the Azusa Street Revival!

Picture Institutions on Fire
After I prayed, an older couple approached me and said they were stunned by what I had just shared.

They recently moved to South Hadley, MA, to purchase a house which - amazingly - is bordered on three sides by Mount Holyoke Women's College! (Mouth Holyoke was the first of the "Seven Sisters" group of women's colleges to be founded; Wellesley followed suit 38 years later.)

This couple told me that they have been wondering about their particular "commission" here in New England, and after they heard my story, they realized exactly what they were supposed to do: PRAY for the youth attending the college!

The house they live in is essentially a "gateway" to the college itself - and this is no accident on God's part! God has given them the land!

As they continued to share with me, I learned that on July 17th, 2021, just a few weeks ago, lightning struck Mount Holyoke College, causing a fire at one of the dormitories. Like Wellesley College, Mount Holyoke was literally burning... What a prophetic sign! (See news article here.

This dear couple is now certain God has uniquely positioned them to reach the students who live in their backyard with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They left the Gathering supercharged to pray for this institution and invite students into their home with the goal of reaching this billion soul harvest. Praise God!

Picture
New England continues to draw thousands of students each year from every nation for higher education.

An young mother approached me during this Gathering to say that she had heard my story and wanted me to pray for her son, who would be coming to business school here in a few weeks. I had the opportunity to agree with her for her son's "higher education" through Christ as he comes into this region.

I also met a man who, like me, had been educated here in the 80s's but now felt called to go out and preach openly in the streets about Jesus Christ. He is an on-fire evangelist, a "Philip" in the Spirit, and I have no doubt he will be "carried along by the Holy Spirit" to influence many people!

SIGNPOSTS IN THE SPIRIT
A reader sent me Dutch Sheets' "Give Him 15" post from August 10, 2021, which many of you already follow.

If you haven't seen it, please click this link  ("The Big Wave is Coming") and read the stories about Finney and the prayers for the Second Great Awakening, which Dutch just "happened" to post today!

The Lord is highlighting revival for a reason: because we are THAT CLOSE to seeing it in our day!

One final thought: if you missed attending the Gathering but want to see revival in the New England area, please consider joining us on the Boston Common this Friday or in Concord, MA on Saturday for the Awaken the Dawn Tent Worship event. (Details here, along with links to other cities.)

This is not the time to be silent!

Prayer, worship, and gathering together in unity are essential to our deliverance and freedom in this nation, and God honors each attempt we make to honor Him, publicly or privately! Joining with other believers to pray for our nation and especially our youth is the best use of our time I can imagine.

I'd love to hear your stories, too.

If you are participating in these types of events in your area, please drop me a line or comment below. Your testimony is a powerful encouragement in dark times!

For Him,
Deborah

COMFORT FOR THE SUFFERING

Dear Friends,

On 7.27.21 I had a vision of the Lord Jesus, followed by two encounters in the Spirit which the Lord asked me to describe to you exactly. Please know that it is not my desire to call attention to the encounters themselves, but to the messages contained within.

I saw the Lord comforting those who were suffering from trauma.

We are living in increasingly difficult times, and as trials increase, the manifest Presence of the Lord is also increasing to release grace and peace to His people!

I believe the Lord wants to impart hope and healing to those who face trauma and opposition for His Name, and I am praying that these words will impress you as deeply as I was impressed when I heard them.

At the end of this post you will find a recorded prayer you can use to receive ministry yourself or share with a friend.  (Click here for audio podcast or scroll down for YouTube podcast)

THE VISION
I saw the Lord standing at the head of a stretcher in an operating room where surgery was being performed.

I saw that the patient; a believer, was lying face up, looking into the bright white lights above. As the surgery took place, I saw that the Lord remained near the patient, guarding and protecting the believer’s spirit.

Jesus said, “I am with my children even when their bodies suffer trauma.”

How beautiful that the "Father of our spirits” (Hebrews 12:9) comes to His children not only to discipline, but also to heal!

THE FIRST ENCOUNTER: FELLOWSHIP IN SUFFERING
After the initial vision, I had two deep encounters in the Spirit.

In the first, Holy Spirit emphasized that Jesus Christ experienced in His own body every pain that His people endured. Everything that was suffered then; everything that is suffered now, He also suffers Himself, as if it were His own body

I then saw a vision of Jesus on the cross: stripped, humiliated, and displayed publicly for all to see. His precious body was harmed and his soul was shamed. The prophet Isaiah writes:

“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed Him not.” ~Isaiah 53:3

The measure and burden of Christ’s sacrifice is beyond anything anyone can imagine; to voluntarily take on the sins of not just one, but all, is beyond our ability to grasp. Isaiah tried to put into words something of the agony of this “Suffering Servant,” yet during this encounter I found that words were inadequate.

After this, I heard the Lord say: “My Body keeps the score.”

(For context, earlier in the week the Lord had sent me to a bookstore to read a secular book with the same title as I completed a trauma responders’ training course.)

Now, the Lord reminded me of the book’s title and impressed on me this truth: what is done to HIS Body is felt, recorded, and will be either rewarded or penalized on the last day.

When Saul persecuted the church in Acts, Jesus asked him a piercing question: “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting ME?”

Later, a reformed Saul (Paul) wrote: “Let no man trouble me, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.”

Paul came to the place where he understood that what was done to him was also done to Christ, because Christ lived in him. I believe the Lord wants His people to know beyond any doubt that He takes it personally when we are oppressed, harmed, or persecuted.

We are individually and corporately the temple of God and the very Body of Christ; those who attack or harm this Body are attacking Christ Himself. Christ receives both the honor and the dishonor we receive as members of His Body. He feels what we feel.

DIGNITY, AUTHORITY, AND UNITY
Several weeks prior to these encounters, I heard the Lord say He desired to release DIGNITY and AUTHORITY to His Bride.

While this is His ultimate desire, the truth is that on earth, the opposite seems to happen! True dignity and authority do not come from the world.

The dignity Christ bestows is spiritual; the authority believers carry will be mostly unrecognized - and even opposed - by those who live in the world and walk in the flesh. This fact does not nullify the truth of a believer’s honored position in the Kingdom!

A dear believer in England once had an encounter with the Lord in which He allowed her to see how truly beloved His servants were. She saw them as royalty. It was such a weighty revelation of Christ’s compassion that she could not be in the same room with a believer without being brought to tears!

In a similar manner, turn of the century writer Hannah Whitall Smith described a time when she was so overcome by the revelation of man’s sin and suffering that she had to cover her face with a veil in public, so as to shield herself from seeing the horror of what it did to them.

The Lord later showed Hannah the depth of His love in delivering humanity of its sin. He used the illustration of a mother; someone whose love would compel her to willingly give up her own life for her beloved child.

The Lord is releasing not only dignity and authority, but also the knowledge of UNITY; how very CLOSE He is to His Body at this critical time. Christ in us is the hope of glory!

There is a sacred oneness and closeness Jesus shares with the Body He died to redeem. The communion and fellowship we have with Jesus is not only found in our sharing His sufferings, but in Him sharing ours!

The “man of understanding” Proverbs 20:5 describes is also the Spirit of understanding found in Isaiah 11:2. Christ longs to be known not just as Savior, but as Counselor and Friend; the friend who is “closer than a brother.”

Just as a human being is intricately created in the secret place of its mother’s womb, so the Spirit of Christ is intricately woven into a believer’s spirit when he or she is reborn at salvation. There is nothing that separates you from His love!

THE SECOND ENCOUNTER: COMFORT MY PEOPLE!
I heard the Spirit say:

“‘Comfort, comfort my people,’ says your God. ‘Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins.’” ~Isaiah 40:1-2

The Lord who revealed Himself first as suffering then began to reveal Himself as comforting. I felt the tenderness of the Lord envelop me as He said: “I will give rest to those who come to Me!”

Jesus does not break the bruised or put out the weak; instead, He reignites the weary!

God does not condemn people for their innate desire to soothe themselves when in pain; He designed us this way! He has provided a Comforter to minister peace and healing to all those who will receive Him. He is acutely aware of the troubles you have walked through because He has been there through them all.

I heard the Lord speak of His desire for people to turn to Him for that comfort, instead of  temporary (unsatisfying) things.

Proverbs 13:12 describes a fulfilled desire as a “tree of life.”  To know the Lord is life, and Christ will release hope and life to those who turn to Him in this hour!

There was such tenderness in the heart of the Good Shepherd during this second encounter, along with strong hope for the future. As the Lord identifies with our suffering, and through His compassionate comfort and understanding, we receive strength to stand in persecution, trials, or sufferings of any kind - because He is forever with us and within us!

A RENEWED CALL TO LOVE AND HONOR Picture: Do You Love ME?
In the wake of these encounters with the nearness and love of God, I hear the Lord issuing a renewed call for increased love and honor within the Body He has made His own.

As end-time persecution against the Church increases, it is essential for Spirit-led believers to love, honor, and support one another to counteract the fear, hopelessness, and discouragement the enemy is releasing. There is no room for judgment!

Romans 12:10 encourages us to love one another with brotherly affection. The ESV adds: “Outdo one another in showing honor.” As we do so, we honor Christ Himself.

God is looking for courageous men and women who, like Joseph of Arimathea,* will deny self and defy religious and political oppression to care for those members of His Body who have been persecuted for their faith or held with little esteem.

These secret lovers of God will display the kind of honor that embraces the weak and broken, wrapping them in garments of tender love and compassion.

God is raising up an army from those who have overcome rejection and oppression through the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings. Like David’s mighty men, these worshiping warriors will recognize, defend, and even die for the Anointed One. They have found the strength of a love that will not forsake them! Are you one of them?

In 1976, the Lord asked through prophet Bob Jones, “Did you learn to love?”

Today, as faith is perfected in greater times of trial, the Lord is asking, “Do you love ME?”

Praying for you,
Deborah

* Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy but secret disciple of Jesus, is mentioned by all four of the Gospel writers. A prominent member of the Sanhedrin Council, he courageously asked Pilate for Christ's crucified body to honor Him with a burial. In a striking parallel to Old Testament Joseph, who provided for "remnant" Israel during a time of famine, Joseph of Arimathea provides for the Anointed One in death, so that all might have life.

DO NOT BE SILENT!

Dear Friends,

I hear the Lord saying:

“It is time for the Body of Christ to raise their voice! Do not be silent! The enemy is attempting to silence you one final time because he knows your breakthrough is near. Do not allow old lies of unworthiness or condemnation to hinder you. You have been clothed with righteousness and are anointed and appointed to speak on behalf of the oppressed in this hour!”

For several months, the Lord has been highlighting a pattern to me which is found in three similar sections of Scripture: Acts 28; Luke 4-5; and Matthew 4-5. I believe this thrice-repeated pattern illustrates what is happening right now in the Body of Christ.

In fact, many of you may be finding that you are living these scriptures! You are feeling the enemy’s attempts to silence you one last time through heavy attacks of witchcraft or condemnation. The attacks, however, are a precursor to great things!

Acts 28 describes Paul’s arrival on the island of Malta as a Roman prisoner. Immediately after surviving the trauma of storm and shipwreck, Paul survives a viper’s attack. A serpent fastens itself to Paul’s hand in an attempt to hinder his service to the Lord.

The islanders believe “Justice” will not allow Paul to live. Yet Paul shakes off the serpent, unharmed. (What a parallel to today’s opposition against believers and prophets in particular who have taken a stand for the Lord!)

The islanders watch this miracle, then see Paul heal the island Chief’s father, and realize that Paul carries power within him “like a god.” The door opens for mass healing and the entire island receives ministry as a result.

Following the deliverance and the healings, Paul receives favor to teach in Rome, with people coming to him in “great numbers,” from morning until evening. (Acts 28:17-23) His harvest is multiplied.

In the same way, as Jesus emerges from the wilderness in both Matthew 4 and Luke 4 to begin His ministry, He is also opposed by the enemy. Jesus first overcomes a demonic attack (Luke 4:31-37) and then sickness, healing Simon’s mother-in-law.

These victories open the door for Christ’s new healing and deliverance ministry; every one of those who come to Him are healed. Following the healings, Jesus begins an expanded preaching ministry in the synagogues of Judea. (Matthew 5 also places Christ’s famous Sermon on the Mount within this time period, at the outset of His ministry.)

What the Lord highlighted to me especially today is Matthew 5:1-2:

“Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain, and when He sat down, his disciples came to Him. And He opened His mouth and taught them…”

It is customary for a Jewish rabbi to teach from a seated position, while those hearing the Word of God stand. Traditionally, the teacher sits in the Seat of Moses as the scrolls are brought from the ark. Jesus’s seated position on the mountain is meant to demonstrate His position of authority as the foremost Teacher and Leader of His people!

As I've prayed into these scriptures, the Lord has been speaking to me, saying that He is removing the spiritual interference from the enemy that has tried to block or hinder ministry during this difficult time. He Himself will be the Deliverer and provide the breaker anointing that is needed to shake off the attacks that seem to have fastened themselves to His Body!

I believe the Lord is urging His people to ascend to heavenly places in Christ and sit with Him as they decree, declare, and teach what He is releasing at this time. (Ephesians 2:6)
He is displaying the richness of His kindness and grace and opening the door to expanded ministries for those who have persevered under recent trials.

I believe this is a season of new beginnings. I see a new favor on the written and spoken words of those who are preachers and teachers within the Body of Christ. I believe you will see the Lord bring new disciples to you who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness. They will gladly come and receive what you feed them through your teaching and preaching.

These will be wholehearted followers - true disciples who are seeking the Lord diligently for WHO HE IS, not just what they can get from Him. They will receive from you in a way that others in the past could not; their hunger will make your efforts worthwhile!

Those called to healing ministries in the Body will receive invitations to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. There is an EASE coming into the Body that will replace the weariness and a JOY that will release new strength for Kingdom ministry expansion.

Dear friends, do not return to the old! Press in to receive all that the Lord has for you. You are going to begin to see not just your “tribe,” but your students and followers come to you. These are those you are called to serve within your own sphere of influence.

It's time to speak and release the unique messages that God has worked into you! I see Isaiah 43 is coming alive as God delivers you from deep rivers and scorching fire, bringing your offspring from the four corners of the earth.

Stand Firm - your harvest and reward is coming! Justice is about to rule in your favor and the enemy’s attacks will not stand.

You have been kept by Jesus to be witnesses for the Lord so that many others will come to know Him as Creator, Redeemer, and King. (Jude 1; Isaiah 43:10) Now keep yourselves in the love of the Lord by building yourselves up in faith and persevering in prayer. (Jude 21)

Do not be silent!

Deborah

In the Middle of a Miracle

Picture
Dear Friends,

A few nights ago I was awakened by the Holy Spirit, who began walking me through the texts of Joshua 3 & 4, bringing them to life line by line, without my Bible!

He wanted to reveal what it feels like to be “in the middle of a miracle.”

This portion of the book of Joshua tells the story of Israel crossing the Jordan into the Promised Land. It parallels the miracle of the Red Sea crossing with Moses. I believe these words will be encouraging to those of you who are called to be leaders and prayer warriors for the Lord.

FIRST IN
~ It is the priests who go down to the Jordan first and set their feet in the water as they carry the ark of the covenant. (Joshua 3:6)

This biblical group of “priestly pioneers” needed courage to take the nation’s first steps of faith into a river that was not yet dry!

Pioneers and forerunners are often “first in.” They’re the first ones God sends to bring hope or restoration to spiritual or natural situations.

While being first can seem like an honor or a glorious role to those who follow, the truth is that spiritual pioneers must have a boldness and courage that not all possess. The faith, excitement, and resolve felt at the beginning of an assignment can quickly be dampened by the shock of cold water pooling around your feet!

~ The Jordan river begins to dry up 20 miles upstream, between Adam and Zarethan. (Joshua 3:16)

The waters miraculously stand up in a heap, “a great distance away,” at Adam. In other words, there is a waiting period before that riverbed runs dry!

Adam represents our origins or foundations. It is said to be “the city that is beside Zarethan,” which means “distress.”

In the same way, leaders are often called to stand as priests and deliverers somewhere between the point of creation (our foundations) and places of distress (whether personal sins or the sins of a nation), making intercession.

No matter what your call, the work God gives you to do as His representative is meant to bring healing and restoration to those around you.

Israel’s priests stand in the middle of the Jordan, committed to their call and carrying precious cargo: the ark of the Lord. They dare not make a mistake; every carrier of that holy ark knows the price of presumption would be death! (2 Samuel 6:1-10)

Yet there is a delay between the time the priests reach the river to the time the flooding recedes, and another from the time Israel crosses over until the priests themselves are released from their burden.

In the same way, from the time we begin praying and believing for our miracle, God is moving (Daniel 10 is a good example of this) - but faith is sometimes tried by patience as God sets up the right conditions for our promotion or deliverance!

~ The priests are the first to experience the fears and inner battles associated with this deliverance.

Stepping in to the Jordan, the ark-bearers probably experience a wide gamut of emotions:

Fear of the unknown - What if the river doesn’t dry up?!

Fatigue - They are publicly tasked with carrying the Presence of God for many hours in an extremely stressful situation. This isn’t just a river; this is an overflowing-the-banks, harvest time, flooded river!

Pride - It is an honor to be chosen to go out at the head of the armies - but the leaders are also separated from their families for this historic moment.

Anger or Resentment - The priests’ task requires greater strength, courage, and endurance than the “laymen” who are unburdened and can cross over quickly.

Grief - Like the rest of Israel, they are undoubtedly longing for previous “safer” situations!

Joy - The Promised Land is now within view. Their excitement and joy builds as they watch an entire nation - over 40,000 people - walk right into their destiny!

Fear of Abandonment - The priests’ families and friends cross over long before they do. They may wonder: What if we are stuck here after the rest of Israel crosses? What if the waters flood us and wash us away, just as the Red Sea drowned Pharaoh’s armies?

Everything in these men wants to get across the river quickly and get OUT of that Jordan! Instead, God calls them to stand, pray, persevere, trust, and believe. He is developing in them a compassion for more than just themselves or their ministry.

1 Peter 4:12-17 gives us God’s perspective on such challenging situations. We’re not to be surprised at fiery trials or sufferings because as we embrace them, God’s glory is revealed in us.

Judgment begins with the house of God first. Yet rhe resulting glory will also rest on the house of God first!

PictureLAST OUT
~ The same leaders who are “first in” are also “last out.” (Joshua 4:10-11)

God’s timing hasn’t changed much since Joshua’s day. While prophetic promises may seem clear and glorious at inception, they are much more murky and tedious in application!

The priests watch all of Israel cross over - a direct benefit of their own obedience! Their courage has enabled others to take the same bold steps across.

Now it seems it's finally time for their own journey to be completed.

Instead, Joshua commands 12 strong men to return into the river they just crossed to gather two sets of 12 stones. A celebration is in order!

One "cairn" is to be erected at the place where the priest’s feet stand in the river. The other heap of stones becomes a memorial at Gilgal, to remind Israel’s children of the miracle.

These are no little rocks; strong men are needed to haul the stones on their shoulders! The stones must be large enough not to be moved from their places on the land and in the river for generations to come.

Remember - throughout all this celebrating, testifying, and monument-building, the priests are still standing in the middle of the river, holding the ark! Between the “flushing out” of the enemy and the “flooding in” of God, there is sometimes a delay.

I wonder how often these leaders look behind them, eyeing the wall of water that threatens to consume them at any moment. In the middle of a miracle, our focus must remain on the Presence of God in order to dispel fear or discouragement.

For those of you who are standing by faith for your breakthroughs, the middle of your miracle may feel like a hotbed of activity. Yet you have been called to stand still in a very dry place, perhaps for much longer than anticipated!

When others find victory but your deliverance seems delayed, it is essential to trust in God’s perfect timing. Waiting on the Lord becomes a test in itself! Yet we - like the priests - are not forgotten by God.

I believe the Lord wants to encourage those of you who are waiting for the command to begin moving again. Perhaps you’ve been holding a position or carrying a burden in the Spirit for some time now. This position feels like an uncomfortable place; a dry and barren place; a place of great uncertainty.

You may feel like the enemy is lurking just upstream and that a torrent of death could be unleashed on you at any moment, but God is saying: “STAND FIRM!”

STAND FIRM!
“While all the people of Israel crossed over on dry ground, the priests of the Lord STOOD FIRM on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, until all the nation had finished crossing over the Jordan.” - Joshua 3:17

Those who are called into Christian ministry are given the unique privilege of being often broken before God.

Leaders may step into their call with boldness and strength, but as IHOP worship leader Justin Rizzo wisely says, “The stage is meant to break you!”

I believe Joshua’s priests experienced a radical transformation as they stood firm, carrying the Presence of the Lord. An entire nation - thousands of people -  passed before them into the Promised Land, and still there they were, interceding for the people!

I believe that every one of those priests probably battled various fears and doubts as they wondered how long they would have to “stand firm” before God’s deliverance was complete!

While others were celebrating a “Memorial Day,” the priests were still working. Their assignment would not be finished until every detail in the Lord’s heart had been completed. Yet they would come out with something unique and enduring.

ENDURANCE INTO ENCOURAGEMENT
James 1:4 reads: ...you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Why does God subject His ministers to greater discipline? Biblical laws of warfare require that before every battle, the priests are to speak to people to encourage them, saying: “‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’”

Authentic encouragement for any army can only come from mature believers who have conquered fear themselves! If you are holding your ground in a difficult place, the goal is that your endurance will be made perfect so that you are able to encourage those just entering the battle.

Our places of deepest need and brokenness become places of great strength and anointing, but the ability to be an encouraging leader comes at cost. Your reward will be to see your own spiritual offspring, just as Christ is now seeing His (Isaiah 53:10; 54:1).

YOUR MIRACLE IS COMING
I hear the Lord saying: “Stand firm; your miracle is coming!”

When you wonder: “Where is Jesus?” Jesus is with you just as the ark of God’s Presence is with the priests in the middle of that dry riverbed.

Our compassionate God chooses to enter the hotbeds of emotion and passion, rage and accusation, fear, sickness, doubt, and confusion so that He can bring us out!

Christ is the first and the last. He’s the first to come and stand humbly with us as a man, carrying the Presence of God within Himself. As our High Priest and Great Intercessor, Christ sets the stage for those of us who follow after Him to carry the glory of God to the nations around us.

Those who stand firm in barren places will receive their reward, just as Christ did. You will inherit your promises and see your promised land! You may emerge from the middle of your miracle with a broken and humble heart, but you’ll also carry an enduring testimony of what you have seen firsthand.

The Lord is encouraging those who have been praying and standing firm for deliverance, whether for yourself, for others, or for your nation. You are priests and warriors called to a quiet work only God can see. You may feel forgotten. Your feet may not yet be moving. But your hearts and spirits certainly are!

God sees what is done in secret. God vindicates those who wait for Him. In the middle of your stillness is His victory!

If you are in the middle of your miracle today, Holy Spirit wants to comfort you with the knowledge that God will bring you through this just as He enabled Israel to cross the Jordan.

I pray that you’ll use the middle of your miracle to allow the Lord to touch your heart and bring humility where there is pride. Faith where there is doubt. Strength where there is weakness. Hope where there is despair.

Like Joshua’s priests, you carry the very Presence of God within you as a living testimony. Many will come to know the Lord because of your faithful endurance in this hour. Your lives will be the “memorial stones” for future generations.

STAND FIRM in the middle of your miracle, knowing that God Himself stands with you to encourage you!

Finding Your "Sweet Spot:" Visions of Healing and Deliverance

“It happened that the father of Publius lay sick in bed with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him, healed him. And when this had taken place, the rest of the people on the island (of Malta) who had diseases also came and were cured.”
Acts 28:8-9; ESV
Dear Friends,

I believe the Body of Christ is entering a “sweet spot” in time. Despite all evidence to the contrary, we are beginning a bright new Kingdom era full of miracles and favor!

I believe that this will be a season of marked increase in healing and deliverance ministries that honor Christ and help bring in the harvest.
In several encounters last year, the Lord showed me that the Body of Christ would journey through a difficult season of darkness and loss. We would feel as though we’d been thrown overboard, clinging to the remnants of our “ship” (the world as we knew it) for survival; but we would eventually be brought to land.

I saw that just prior to the launch of new healing ministries, there would be a notable attack of witchcraft which the Body of Christ would be able to shake off, just as Paul shook off a viper into the fire, unharmed. (Acts 27-28.)

This satanic “viper” would emerge from the heat in a time of consuming fire. (Vipers represent poisonous words sourced in a spirit of witchcraft.) There would be an attempt to hinder the work of the saints through murderous accusations attaching themselves to individuals and ministries.

Once the “shaking off ” of this viper was done, however, the Lord would begin to “spotlight” significant healing and deliverance ministries, just as He protected Paul and brought people from all over the island of Malta to him for healing.

Malta means “honey,” and this sweetness is one characteristic of the Promised Land!

A DREAM CONFIRMED
Like many believers, I have been watching and waiting to see what the timing would be for these new ministries to come to the forefront.

Last weekend as I attended a conference in Maine, the Lord spoke to me through a vivid dream. The day I returned from the trip, a nearly identical dream was sent to me from a friend; a second confirmation.

Because both dreams are very detailed, I won’t share them in this post, but they indicated that between the end of a dark season and the Church’s ascent into a place of glory and light, there could be attacks from “vipers;” witchcraft curses intentionally sown among believers to hinder their mobility and ministry.

In each dream, the Bride of Christ had to make a choice between fellowship with demons or communion with God. It was essential that she separate herself from what the Lord considered evil.

(*Read the Prophetic Word for 2021 or use this free worksheet to determine what God might be saying to you personally about separation and communion.)

The Lord also spoke during one dream, saying: “Do not be deceived; evil companions corrupt good character.” (1 Corinthians 15:33.)

Wrestling with witchcraft in her own strength did not fully release the Bride in these dreams. But using a specific strategy from the Lord did! Once she overcame, the Bride crossed over into a place of deliverance, freedom, and joy she had never known before.

To my surprise, the day after I had my dream, it came true in its entirety.

God used the dream - and its confirming events  - to mark the time and season we're in and to remind me of a strategy He’d given me last March concerning healing.

The strategy concerns a simple way of praying for healing and deliverance. It is easy to understand, and for those who may be unfamiliar with deliverance, it works. I feel strongly that the Lord wants me to share this encounter with those who might benefit from a more visual understanding of healing and deliverance, as it appears in the Spirit.

STRATEGY FROM AN INFIRMARY
In an encounter on March 17, 2021, the Lord Jesus took me into the spirit realm; into a space between heaven and earth where I saw visible entities; both good and bad. I was told it was an “infirmary” in the spirit. Angels desired to influence people for good, but demons were oppressing them with sickness.

As I stood with the Lord near one of His people, He showed me that in this particular "infirmary," where there was sickness, there was also a demon.

I saw that each demon had an ugly “hook” or claw that sank into the person’s heart, and I was told that the hook entered through the “gateway” of the person’s emotions, inflicting sickness.

These “gateways,” the Lord said, were built by Satan on either protrusions or depressions of the heart. They represented areas of wounding, sin, or unforgiveness within a person.

The gateways looked like mesh- or fabric-covered barricades stretched between steel archways or frames.

The protrusions or depressions of the heart gave the demons legal access to set up camp there. Demonic guards - evil sentinels - sat at each “gateway” of the heart, to allow or disallow passage.

I saw that the guards at these checkpoints retained their hold because their crooked claws were hooked into people’s hearts through issues like pride, generational iniquity, or negative confessions.

The Lord demonstrated how simple it was to deliver someone from demons of sickness or disease with a word. It was as simple as “unhooking” the talons of the enemy one by one, using words of knowledge; usually the names of the demons themselves.

The Lord asked “Legion” for his name in Mark 5:1-20; to know Legion’s name was to have dominion over it and to cast it out.

HOOKS AND EYES
In the encounter, I looked more closely and saw that the mesh or fabric barricades in the spirit had hook-and-eye closures in the middle. (The kind a seamstress might use.)

Demons of disease or oppression which had attached themselves to peoples’ lives could be “unhooked” with simple words; prayerful commands or rebukes. It was as easy as unhooking a garment. When this was done, the people in the vision became free of disease and death.

I understood that the Lord wanted to restore faith for healing by releasing this simple method which even a child could understand.

Angels were waiting for faith-filled believers to speak words of healing and deliverance so that they could respond to these “keywords” of the Lord, unlocking the hearts of the hurting.

Sometimes believers are waiting for a “mass healing” anointing to manifest, when in fact the ability to heal through a word of the Lord has been with us all along. Jesus healed ALL who came to Him. He is compassionate towards all; it is His sovereign will to heal!

As the encounter continued, I saw that when healing did not take place, there was often more than one “talon” that needed to be unhooked from people’s hearts.

In some cases, there were hordes of demons encircling a person; they held hands and partnered together. These demons called out to each other, triggering other “related” diseases, complicating the issue, and harassing people in the spirit realm.

In these cases, the demons’ talons needed to be unhooked not only from the heart of the person (through renunciation), but also from each other, since they formed a locked ring  of captivity around those whom they oppressed.

It seemed as if these groups of demons had wrapped people in filthy garments of disease and negativity - an occult substitute for the beautiful white mantles in which the Lord desired to wrap His people!

SEE AND ASK FOR YOUR HEALING!
At the close of the encounter, the Lord highlighted to me the importance of both SEEING and ASKING for healing.

Jesus often asked: “What do you want Me to do for you?” He used a question to discern and respond to people’s faith, not to fear.

Those who came confessing only their diseases were not healed in this vision; they merely reinforced their fear and unbelief! But those who learned to speak Christ’s words over themselves received healing, since they were “seeing” (believing) correctly and speaking words that angels could respond to.

While we were in Maine, the Lord broke an attack of witchcraft and released powerful deliverance as we commanded specific demonic talons to be removed from God’s people. I have used this strategy successfully several times since then. God is eager to release Divine intel - specific words from His Throne to bring healing to you and those around you!

It is time for the Church at large to shake off the serpent’s attacks by choosing to walk in the light of faith instead of the fear of condemnation. As we do so, we will enter into a new season of increased signs, wonders, healings, and miracles.

Do not allow the enemy to hook his talons into you or your family and friends through “protrusions” of sin or “depressions” of unbelief! Renounce negative or fearful confessions. While the enemy will still harass and annoy those he cannot control, those who are under the Lordship of Christ will be safe from harm.

Deliverance and healing ministries will be highlighted once again; they are essential tools for freedom in this new Kingdom era. Ask God to use you to unhook these demonic shrouds of deception, disease, and death, and watch Him wrap His people in new garments of righteousness, healing, and joy!

"And [the Lord] will swallow up on this mountain
the covering that is cast over all peoples,
the veil that is spread over all nations.
He will swallow up death forever;
and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces,
and the reproach of his people He will take away from all the earth,
    for the Lord has spoken.
It will be said on that day,
“Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that He might save us.
    This is the Lord; we have waited for Him;
let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”

Isaiah 25:7-9; ESV

The Master Waits for Love!

In this new era, I hear the Lord issuing an age-old call to His Body to return to our First Love:

“I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.  Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.”  (Revelation 2:2-4)

In the last few years, the Body of Christ has persevered through much hardship; testing of all kinds; rampant deception; and a weariness that is pandemic-induced.

Many of us feel that we have become stronger warriors for it. Yet battling for truth and righteousness in the Name of the Lord is only part of Christ’s mandate to the church in Ephesus. The more important portion is abiding in God’s love.

“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose (reveal) Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

At a time when lovelessness, hatred, and betrayal are increasing, God is calling believers into ever-deepening places of intimacy and encounters with Him: the kind of closeness where we notice and respond to the slightest movement of His eyes, just as He does with us. The Bridegroom is longing to reveal more of Himself to His Bride!

“...Go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)

The end-time strategy of the enemy is to use spirits of trauma, fear, and division against believers to stop the ever-increasing flow of God’s love and power!

“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:10-13)

As I listen to the Lord, I hear Him calling us into deeper and deeper intimacy with Him. Our divine Source of stability and security, love and power has so much more to release to help us overcome these attacks! But the “more” comes only from more time in the Father’s  Presence!

Picture
In a normal family, a parent’s invitation to spend quality time with a child is a welcome blessing. Especially when there are multiple siblings, one-on-one time with a father or mother is rarely denied!

Yet when it comes to God’s invitation to spend time with our heavenly Father, His “children” (young or old) are often reluctant to respond to His call.

I believe God is breaking demonic strongholds of fear, pride, and a lack of knowledge of Him which will enable the broken to draw near to the Father in wholehearted love and restored intimacy.

RESTORING THE BROKENHEARTED
The Lord recently brought me into the book of Isaiah, saying that traumas and betrayals, sin and captivity are being demolished as God applies His Isaiah 61 anointing to broken hearts:

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me
To bring good news to the humble and afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives and freedom to prisoners,
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God,
To comfort all who mourn;
To grant to those who mourn in Zion the following:
To give them a turban instead of dust [on their heads, a sign of mourning],
The oil of joy instead of mourning,
The garment [expressive] of praise instead of a disheartened spirit.
So they will be called the trees of righteousness [strong and magnificent, distinguished for integrity, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Those who take time to welcome the Father of Compassion into their own areas of loss or pain will find that they, in turn, become comforters themselves.

I hear the Lord saying: “Those who meditate deeply on these words from Isaiah 61 in this hour, inviting My Spirit to bind up their wounds, release comfort, and rub oil into broken places, will receive their healing supernaturally.”

AN ARMY OF HEALERS IS ARISING!
In the wake of one of the longest and most widespread times of difficulty we’ve ever known, the Lord is raising up an army of healers and deliverers who have accessed the Father’s compassion for their own healing and are now being sent out to release that same compassion to others.

These are the “medics” and spiritual EMT’s the Lord has highlighted to me in previous seasons (Click here to view a previous word )  who will now be released en masse. These healers WILL overcome their own losses and betrayals as they meditate on the words of the Master Healer Himself:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6; See also Mt. 28:20)

Trauma is inflicted not only through one-time events like accidents or death, but also through long-term, sustained difficulties such as pandemics or ongoing persecution. God is breaking past traumas off His Body and sending us out to heal the nations.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

SET YOUR MIND ON THE LIVING WORD!
God’s desire is that a personal, intimate knowledge of His goodness and glory covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. He longs to release His glory through us! The Spirit’s call to return to the secret place is a call to discover abundant life, which is hidden with Christ in God.

In this Hebrew month of Tammuz, I hear the Lord reminding us to set our minds and eyes on heavenly things above, where Christ is, seated at God’s right hand. The promised result is that when Christ, who is our life, is revealed, we also will appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4)

God is very interested in revealing Himself to people worldwide through experiential encounters with His Living Word. I hear Him saying:

“I would have you live, breathe, speak, and become My Word. To do so is to become Christlike, for HE IS the Word!

"The Word is the revelation of My glory. The world will long for My glory to the degree that it does not engage fully with My Word.

“As you open yourself up to My Word experientially, sharing intimate communion with Me, I will fill you with My glory and power, piercing the veil that separates us and producing godly fruit in and through you.

“Dedicate yourself to the study and application of My Word. Apply yourself to Me and I will reciprocate. Draw near to Me as holy and I will draw near to you with glory!

“Seek to know Me with heart AND mind - in Spirit AND truth. There is a reward for those who do so! In this way you become well-pleasing to Me.”

I sense so strongly that the Lord is urging us not to lose our focus, but to keep our gaze on Him through diligent study of His Word, so that the PURE VOICE of the Lord may be released at this time. Knowing the Word always precedes being a voice!

Picture
John the Baptist said, “I AM THE VOICE (of God) crying in the wilderness.” (John 1:23) In the same way, God is calling for pure prophetic voices to arise in the darkness and desert of our time.

The mystery of Christ which was hidden in previous ages is being revealed through the voice of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us!

The Lord is also highlighting Nehemiah 4 as a picture of the importance of the Word today.

In this biblical story, the Jews rebuilding Jerusalem’s wall became overwhelmed by fear and unbelief in the midst of what seemed an impossible task. Nehemiah’s solution was not to hide in fear, stop the work, or give in to the pressures of the enemy.

Instead, this wise leader  instructed his workers to strap their swords permanently to their sides, essentially creating a team of builder-warriors.

In the same way, the Lord is issuing a call to hold tightly to the sword of the Word and to prayer even as we continue to build and advance the Kingdom. This renewed emphasis will provide stability and balance to those who feel overwhelmed by the battles of the current season. It will also protect those who are tempted to build without first seeking the Lord!

Picture SPIRITUAL PRIDE AND IDOLATRY ARE BEING CAST DOWN
I have seen for several weeks that strongholds of idolatry and spiritual adultery are being brought down by the Spirit of God.

Worldly thinking reduces ministry to nothing more than titles and programs. Even ministry can become idolatry when our hearts find fulfillment in what we do rather than who we are.

The Lord is still serious about getting the world out of the church! Sadly, there have been plenty of examples of fallen ministries whose foundations were not laid exclusively on Christ.

When people’s needs become all-consuming, leaders trade the pursuit of God’s heart for mere service or the fear of man. This is a form of spiritual adultery. When leaders magnify their ministries out of selfish ambition or pride, people trade the true worship of God for the mere worship of man, which is a form of idolatry.

The shift is subtle, but dangerous: left unchecked, ministry itself becomes idolatry. The roots of idolatry and spiritual adultery include pride, selfishness, and unbelief.

By contrast, David’s army at Baal-Perazim sought God for His strategies, prevailing over the Philistines, who relied on man-made idols to win their battles. David and his men burned all the Philistine idols and received God’s breakthroughs. Because of this, David was able to restore the ark to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:19-21.)

In the same way, those who allow the Lord to burn and purge that which has become idolatrous in their lives, no matter how insignificant, will see increasing breakthroughs and personal victories. The burning is a precursor to the glory!

Godly ministers emerging in this time of separation and delineation are those who are consumed with passion for their Bridegroom, devoting themselves first to the priestly duty of wholehearted worship. Any other service they perform is done on assignment from the King!

The emerging lovers of God do not seek to  propagate, praise, or promote themselves, but only Jesus. They believe that the Word of God is powerful enough to sustain them and the fear of God is more important to them than any substitute!

THE MASTER WAITS FOR LOVE
G. Campbell Morgan, who preached at Westminster Chapel, London in the early 1900’s, expressed it best: “He who woos the Bride can  never have his heart satisfied with a servant. Activity in the King’s business will not make up for neglect of the King... The Master waits for love.”

May you be consumed with a burning desire for Jesus as you seek to know Him and make Him known. May the love of God so fill your heart that you become known as a radical follower of the Bridegroom, forever marked by experiential encounters with the living Word of God - Christ Himself - your true First Love!

The Sentinel and the Scroll

Picture: The Sentinel and the Scroll
Dear Friends,

Today the Lord reminded me of an encounter I had with Him during a prayer retreat on April 11, 2021, asking me to share it with you. The encounter illustrates what happens behind the scenes through an ongoing cycle of prayer and communication in the Spirit. I believe Father wants to encourage the Body of Christ with a visual understanding of what is happening in the Spirit as we pray.

THE SENTINEL
On April 11th, I was praying in the Spirit. I had a vision of being seated in a heavenly place with Jesus as we talked near the Father’s throne. (Ephesians 2:6)

As I watched from my seat, a divine being appeared in front of us. It seemed that he had flown upward from a dark void beneath to approach Christ at His seat.

When the angelic being approached, I heard the Spirit announce that he was a sentinel.” The sentinel was dressed in white and seemed (in form) to be like a young man; a messenger of some kind.

“Sentinel” angels are only mentioned twice in the Bible, in Daniel 4. They describe holy watchmen, or “watchers,” who descend to earth from heaven. Daniel’s sentinel is a messenger who announces a divine verdict against king Nebuchadnezzar.

The sentinel approached our seats, handed a scroll to Jesus, and disappeared as quickly as he came. No words were exchanged between the two of them. I saw the Lord open up the scroll on His lap to read it.

THE SCROLL
I leaned over the arm of my own seat, asking to see the scroll. The scroll had a good amount of parchment-colored paper thickly wound around the two dowels holding it.

The writing was in ancient Hebrew, covering only one side of the parchment. The Lord opened the scroll to the middle section.

At my request, Jesus lifted the scroll slightly so that I could see it. As I looked, in the middle of a full page of writing in black ink, one Hebrew letter was supernaturally “lifted” off the page by about an inch or two for inspection.

The Lord said that every single letter of the scroll, while forming a part of each word, also had a story of its own.

I could not discern in the vision which Hebrew letter I was looking at, but I knew that it represented one person, or one person’s story.

This meant that when Jesus read the more general scroll, He was also reading about individual lives through each letter. It was as if each letter became a “gateway” or portal through which He looked down into people’s lives to see or understand what was happening with them.

I was told that the scroll was a “missive.” The Lord reminded me of an encounter I had a year ago in a library of heaven, when He had shown me that He read all of the documents that Kingdom writers created.

He told me that He receives these angelic “missives,” or scrolls, daily, just as someone on earth might read a daily newspaper to keep updated on what is happening.

PRAYING FOR THE NATIONS
I asked the Lord what this particular scroll pertained to; what was its subject?

Jesus replied: “Italy.”

The sentinel angel had come from the nation of Italy bearing this scroll. In a sense, he was one of heaven's "reporters."

I believed the sentinel to be a high-ranking angel over that nation, just as there are angels over the churches in Revelation. (Revelation 1:20.) He represented that nation’s interests before our King, and could transmit messages back to the nation as the Lord desired. (Daniel 4:13; 23; see also Revelation 2:1,8,12,18; 3:1,7,14.)

I saw that the Lord was updated on current events happening in the nations through these high-ranking sentinels and their missives in the Spirit. Yet the letters within the scrolls contained even detailed information pertaining to people within each nation!

I was amazed at the depth of insight the Lord had because of these scrolls. He could read  horizontally across the page to receive a more general overview, or look deeply into the layers of each word or letter within the scrolls to understand the intimate details of peoples’  lives.

Because I did not know the Hebrew language, I wondered what information the scroll contained concerning Italy? Yet at the time of the encounter, the Lord showed me only that He used the information from the sentinel's scroll to pray. He then invited me to come and pray with Him before the Father’s throne.

We stood up and walked over to where Father was, bowing before Him. I asked Jesus what He wanted me to pray. I did not feel I knew enough about Italy to pray intelligently. The Lord responded: I will pray; you watch in the Spirit and simply agree with Me!”

So we prayed together: I in my prayer language; and Christ more specifically, for Italy.

Holy Spirit (who stands continually before the Throne; cf. Revelation 4:5) gave understanding of what we had prayed for a short time later, when He inscribed the full revelation onto my heart.

YOUR WORDS ARE HEARD IN HEAVEN!
As I revisited this encounter, I felt so strongly that Father wanted to encourage those who are interceding for nations, churches, cities, and individuals today.

Your prayers are being heard! Your songs, books, letters, decrees, documents, and artistic creations are all being seen and heard by Jesus and the Father!

Not only that, but Christ our Great Intercessor is interceding before the Throne daily for details we may not even be aware of. We can partner with Christ in prayer as we join together with Him in the Spirit.

There is an increased need to pray in the Spirit continually this year. I believe one purpose of the encounter was to demonstrate the importance Christ places on praying in the Spirit, which often offends the mind, or can seem less effective if not interpreted.

In our weakest moments, Christ is strongest. In our weakness, the Spirit helps us. (2 Corinthians 12:10; Romans 8:26-28.) To pray in the Spirit is to pray a perfect prayer of alignment and agreement with Christ’s heart!

Although it seems that what happens in the nations goes unchecked sometimes, God has established a cyclical Kingdom communications system that involves not only prayer, but also angelic activity through messengers sent to serve those who will inherit the Kingdom. (Hebrews 1:14.) Do not discount the activity of the angelic in this hour! Nothing is going unnoticed.

The Christian faith is the only religion that boasts a personal, living God who sees, hears, and deeply loves His children. We celebrate a Savior who created us, identifies with us, saves us, and continues to pray with us as we establish His Kingdom here. May you perceive in greater measure the benefits and blessings available to you in the Spirit as you press in to know Him more.
