Currently reading – The Cyberiad, by Stanislaw Lem. Born in 1921, Lem was a Polish science fiction writer most famous for his novel Solaris, which was turned into a great Russian film by Andrei Tarkovsky, and a middling George Clooney film a bit later. Lem died in 2006.

Currently reading – Sister Outsider, by Audre Lorde. Born in 1934, Lorde was an American writer, feminist, and civil rights activist. This is a book of her essays and speeches.

Currently reading – New American Stories, edited by Ben Marcus. This is a big (700 pages) book of contemporary short stories. But I haven’t been reading a lot of stories lately, and it’s time to make up for it.
