My third Book is being printed- Today!!
I have exciting news! My publisher informed me- today is the day we go to print on my third book! This is one of my illustrations that will be featured. As soon as the book is released, and available for purchase, I will post the book cover. It won't be long now!
It's the final book in the Go West trilogy about our true adventures living on a mountain in the wilderness of Montana. Visit quinnwildlifeart.com for more information. I don't want to spoil the story about why I drew this bear, in case you want to read about it.
I'm a wildlife artist and author. I live on the side of a mountain in Montana near the Continental Divide with my family, where I write and paint about our frontier lifestyle. We left Washington D.C. when my husband retired from the military. We wanted a change, of lifestyle and we got it! I admit I'm a fish out of water here, and I'm learning how to blend my city ways with our new rural western life, so, I'm surviving the wilderness in style. Our new neighbors are cougars, bears, and wolves. I hope you enjoy our real pioneer experiences, with wildlife encounters, horse and dog rescue, baking, gardening, art, decorating, landscape photography, and much more. I hope to see you on the mountain, laugh and learn with me.
Making God's Eyes with a Touch of Glamour!
My afternoon Project.
This is a fun and easy craft project. Consider adding beads, tassels, glitter, and other adornments to your God's Eye ornaments. They make wonderful gifts. I personalize them, and attach them to gifts I give my readers. I hope you subscribe to my YouTube channel or visit my website quinnwildlifeart.com to learn more about life on a mountain in the wilderness of Montana. Thank you!

The Buck Stopped Here
If you like deer, watch "The Buck Stopped Here" This is a sweet little video of the deer on our homestead, guess who they like to visit?
Deer are plentiful on our homestead in Montana. We see them almost daily, and I write about our encounters in my books. This video shows some of the interactions they have with our horses. Our geldings will sometimes share their food and water with the deer. I believe one little doe thinks she is a horse. See more of our homestead life at quinnwildlifeart.com

A Curtain can be a Work of Art
My Saturday project. I couldn't find a valance that was a good match for my curtain, so, I decided to paint one.
I made the valance out of a cotton material and I used acrylic paints thinned with water, so it wouldn't feel or look stiff. I love nature themes in home decor, but they are not easy to find. I suppose necessity really is the mother of invention.
Since stores are not around the corner, I have learned a lot of skills to craft much of my decorative items. If you are interested in more posts like this one, visit my website at quinnwildlifeart.com and see my YouTube channel and Facebook clubs. Thank you!

Nature's Paintings
You all know I have been taking photos of our sunsets for over a decade. These are some of our most dramatic views. It's been awhile since I have shared them in a video, there were so many photos, it was hard to choose. I think you will enjoy these images. They are truly nature's paintings in the skies.

Words Come to Life- Hand Painted Silk Scarf
I'm always looking to try something new and creative!
I painted my version of a literary scarf with mountains and a quote from my first book, "Go West, Young Woman!" It's 100% silk and proved quite a challenge to paint the cursive lettering. I plan to make a few more designs. It was a fun project.

My Memorial Day Tribute
Because I'm a military wife, Memorial Day has a special meaning for me. Each year, I sing TAPS for my family. The tradition started after my children were born. I hope you take a moment to enjoy this minute of tribute for those who have fallen.
