The Underground Toy Society helps lost, lonely, and forgotten toys find new homes. Sometimes finding new homes is not easy. When Murry Mole took a wrong turn and dug a tunnel to a toy store, the toys thought the toy donation bin would be the answer to their problem. However, only new toys were allowed in the bin. How will toys find new homes in time for Christmas?

On top of it all, while the toys were busy, they somehow lost all the color and some of the pictures inside the book! They need your help to restore the story. Help them by adding pictures and color so the toys can find homes in time for Christmas! Then, add in some of your own memories with some fun writing prompts and coloring pages.

If You Were Me and Lived in Italy by Carole P. Roman

If You Were Me and Lived in Italy by Carole P. Roman is a great educational resource for kids!

The book is fun and easy to read. The story puts the kids in the shoes of another child living in Italy to show them what it would be like to live in that country. It is perfect to make culture come alive for kids, instead of reading boring facts from a textbook.

The book is a great resource for our family especially since we homeschool.

My daughters have used this series for their research projects as resources.

The book introduces several words from Italian culture with a pronunciation guide included.

The whole family can learn something from this book! There were facts in the book that I had forgotten about or did not even know.

We received a paperback copy and we are voluntarily leaving our review of this book because we really enjoyed the book. Check out the book link here:

A Break From the Same Old Things

Life can be hectic, that's for sure. Deadlines to meet, work, school, extra-curricular activities, you name it, it's stressful.

Our family has made it a routine to have a few laughs here and there.

Since we homeschool, it is easy to do with the use of Carole P. Roman's books, The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids and The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids 2.

We received a digital copy from the publisher of The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids which we keep on our laptop to pull up anytime we need a laugh.

We also received a paperback copy of The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids 2 from the publisher and we keep the book with our homeschool curriculum and pull it out every day when we need a little stress relief.

We take turns reading the jokes to test each other and make each other laugh.

The books are packed with funny jokes, tongue twisters, puns, riddles, and funny short little stories.

Each book has a great section at the end to inspire kids to create their own jokes! Perfect to get the creative juices flowing for writing assignments!

Chapter 7: Write Your Own Jokes from The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids 2 by Carol P. Roman

We give both books 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend them!

How to Talk About Lost Loved Ones

Talking about lost loved ones can be very difficult for some people.

How can you share memories of your loved ones when it is so hard to talk about?

How to Talk About Lost Loved Ones; Meeting Grandmom; Back to Grandmom; Time Travel Adventures for the whole family to enjoy

*Jessica D. Adams is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Jessica D. Adams, Author. I may earn a small commission for my endorsement, recommendation, testimonial, or link to any products or services from this website. Keeping Memories Alive

After my mom died when I was 16 and my sister was 14, we kind of stopped talking about her. Talking led to tears and crying, so it seemed easier to just avoid the subject.

We would share a memory of our mom here and there, but it was only a brief memory to prevent the tears from flowing.

Once I had kids, keeping my mom's memory alive was important to me so I could pass on our family history.

Still, talking about her was not easy. My kids would ask me questions and I would provide a very short answer so I would not break down and cry.

Old pictures and photo albums have always been very helpful in sharing moments of fun with my mom.

Still, there was something missing for my girls. They always seemed to want to know more about the grandmother they never met.

So, I wrote the book called, Meeting Grandmom. It is a short time travel adventure where my daughters travel back in time and take the place of my sister and me in the past. You can check out the book here with my affiliate link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07434DP41/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B07434DP41&linkCode=as2&tag=jessicadadams-20&linkId=ff74d49ca5b38aead03ae5a392ee18d0 *

It was a difficult book to write but I was so glad that I did.

Some people mentioned that they wanted more because the book was too short.

Truthfully, it was so short because it was hard to write it.

After a few years, I finally decided to sit down and write a sequel, Back to Grandmom. You can check out the book here with my affiliate link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09PDJXF9V/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B09PDJXF9V&linkCode=as2&tag=jessicadadams-20&linkId=f1c2953d8b7a3943809a6ac14cf91ef0 *

It's still a short story and was once again difficult to write.

What was even more difficult was proofreading it again and again.

Somehow I managed to get the book published.

The books can help bring up conversations about your lost loved ones in a fun way.

Some questions you can ask your kids:

What if you traveled back in time to meet _________? What activities would you do if you went back in time to meet _________? What questions would you ask? Would you try to change the past? What do you think ___________ was like? Do you think you would tell ___________ who you are, or would you keep it a secret? Would you try to get back home as quickly as possible, or would you rather stay a while?

I hope this will help you keep the memories alive of your lost loved ones.

One thing I have always said is that it never gets easier, but it gets less hard.
