Water...

Curious how hot water freezes faster than cold water in similar settings. They call it the 'Mpemba Effect'. Strange how around 60% of the human body is made of water, and how a person gets frustrated and angry much faster than they manage to cool or calm down. Has this 'anomaly' (bio-emotional as it is) something to do with the water, the person, or both?

The Last Laugh...

Husband: "Honey, what has never been anywhere but knows every location like it was born there?"

Wife: [stares at hubby, dares him not to continue]

Husband: "Google Earth!"

Wife: [kills hubby and looks up Google Earth to help her find an isolated spot to bury the body]

Life...

Life has a strange sense of irony… In order to win, you must lose. if you let your losses get to you, you'll never win. If you let your defeats keep you down, you'll take that much longer to rise back up again. Life, clever but cruel.

Darker...

The world is becoming a darker place because more and more people are turning off the lights.

Entertainment...

Entertainment is a spectator sport. From the ones who make it to the ones who watch it, through and through a spectator sport. But somehow, the Art inherent emanates a deep sense of meaning, belonging, and emoting that evolves entertainment into both an education and an experience.

Censorship...

Technically speaking, the people working in the censor department are the ones most sensitive to various so-called R-rated content. Who's going to censor content from the censors? We need to 'help' those pure souls stay uncorrupted. They get to see everything that we aren't allowed to see, after all. Last thing we want is them to be traumatized when they're doing so much for us. We can instead choose a group of diverse vetted people – like courts do all the time when they select jury members. We can select 25-25-25-25 men-women-boys-girls (depending on content quality and type) to vote on which content reasonably needs be censored. This way, everyone gets an idea of what normal everyday people are interested in watching. Censorship is so disconnected from reality. Just because they cut out a beautiful reel-life woman showing her belly on camera doesn't mean they can stop some types of people from assaulting real-life women who go about their lives. What's the point of censoring a sensual scene in a movie or show when porn is available to particular people who are intent on committing a sexual crime? Bolder education and stronger legislation is what will bring change in this regard more than merely editing out a kiss scene. What, don't people kiss anymore?
[add most dramatic eye roll here]

Brain...

Do any of us even take five minutes in our day to pat ourselves on the head and say, "Wonderful brain. Nice brain. Sweet brain. What will I do without you? Such a goooood braaaain!" None of us, really. No wonder it makes us forget where we kept our car keys, or drive us semi-insane by making us question why we entered the kitchen. If the brain is feeling especially mischievous, it will make you oversleep on an important day. And if the brain is feeling particularly upset, it will make you carry your dinner plate to the bathroom sink instead of the kitchen and force you to doubt your own existence as you look around for a criminal ten seconds and wonder where the stove went. And these are just some of the bizarre things an under-appreciated brain can make you experience. And you haven't seen its dark side yet, of which I entirely approve. "Gooooood braaaaain!"

Transition...

Death is a sacred transition, one in which the soul slips out of its physical coat, leaving the experiences and memories it gathered in one lifetime only to soar toward a new story, and fresh experiences and memories waiting to be made. Life does not end, it transitions. In this regard, Death is not a fearful entity worth despising, but a glorious chapter worth cherishing. For the soul never dies, and that's a fact worth celebrating.

Hate & Love...

There are two shades to Hate & Love…
To hate is both easy and weak.
To love is both difficult and fatal.

Too Much Of Anything...

Oversleeping is messed up. You feel like you can go on sleeping for eternity, only to realize that your body wakes up with aches and pains you never got when awake. In fact, all the things that 'feel good' for a human is messed up. Workout? Aches and pains, and even after getting your 'dream bod' you need to bloody maintain it… Eat a lot, especially sweet stuff? Aches, pains, obesity, disease… Long luxurious hours in a tub filled with essential oils and petals like Kareena Kapoor in one of her ads? Pruned skin, a hundred missed calls, someone died, and a new government is in power… Apparently, nothing good lasts, and if we force it to go on, things end in some sort of disaster.
