Women Issues Speaker at United Nations - Ruchira Gupta - Making a Difference in Our World

As a world traveling frequent cruiser who has traveled on many cruise lines, the joke in the cruise line industry is two groups of people typically are on board, those who are marrying and preparing for burying.

Publish America - Money Making Schemes to Pinch Authors
I published two books with Publish America which they sell mostly online for double the typical retail price and therefore sell few of.
Publish America figures if they sell authors' books for double the normal asking price, when authors buy their books from them (for vanity sake) they will make a few bucks and can't go wrong.
Yet Publish America's schemes to pinch authors isn't working.
I got this email today below pitching authors to make a video for Publish America to showcase their work at book conventions. LOL

I'm so sure Publish America will set up numerous TV screens with all their authors talking simultaneously for passers by at book conventions to watch.
If Publish America sets up one TV and rolls all authors videos through, what is the statistical probability yours as an author will be seen when people pass by?
Compare that to the statistical probability that Publish America makes $99 from each author's self-made video they claim to show at these conventions and you can bet Publish America is making a nice profit.

Thumbtack Directory Bias, Prejudice and Injustices
Thumbtack directory prejudice and injustices are documented below.
The elite providers are the ones who are listed on thumbtack's 'landing pages' - not based on points (as you would be led to believe when you post your business on thumbtack).
Thumbtack support wrote me saying:
'Not everyone gets listed on a landing page. Whether we have a landing page for your area and profession is determined by a fairly complex algorithm developed by our engineers. That algorithm takes into account many things, including the number of other people in your profession and area, the population of nearby cities, how many Thumbtack points you and others have, and the amount of traffic Google has in your area.'
'It can take up to three months after you post for our engineers to determine whether you will be listed on a landing page.'
'If you are listed - we'll send you an email about that.'
'Sorry this is so confusing, and sorry there's not much you can do about it! We are also at the mercy of Google on this one. :-)

Facebook Social Networking Marketing Platform Will Be Eclipsed
Facebook does not allow videos that '...are threatening, or attack an individual or group will also be taken down. We also remove videos that are not of a personal nature....posting objectionable content..."

In other words Facebook http://www.facebook.com/#!/help/?page=39 doesn't care if corporations rip you off and make merchandise of you. Facebook will not let you voice your complaints on their website. Hence over 100 videos I posted on Facebook, 99% of a personal nature, all were removed and the video platform disabled.
Facebook doesn't mind all the goofy gadgets on their site that they can monetize and make merchandise of you by, but God forbid don't rock the boat and post anything 'objectionable' or ever state your opinion (or convictions about any companies like these below).

Thumbtack sold business owners domains years ago promoting they can "have your your own domain for YOUR BUSINESS," but about 2 to 3 years into the domain ownership Thumbtack was collecting $10 annually from business owners, some corrupt Thumbtack company executive got the ungodly idea to remove business owner's images and information from the top of their domains they had purchased to promote their single company's services and Thumbtack began to promote itself on the business owner's domain and page AND simultaneously promote the business owner's competitors (until I said something to Thumbtack about it and threatened Thumbtack with a class-action lawsuit).
Thumbtack nevertheless continues cyber-squatting on domains sold business owners because Thumbtack continues to promote its company (NOT the business owners' company) because the first thing visitors see when they visit the domain - mine being www.NY-life-coach.com - is no longer my image and business information (as in the beginning and first 2 years), but now it shows Thumbtack's cyber-squatting maneuver and banner across the top of MY DOMAIN (I bought and paid for, promoted, advertised, work hard to get friends, clients, previous customers to endorse, visit and rack up over 100 points on Thumbtack's site). I have 4,000 videos on YouTube and Goodreads combined many of which have a link to www.NY-life-coach.com thereon that I now am having to remove and gradually redirect to www.Linkedin.com/in/worldproperties because of Thumbtack's unethical business practices, false advertising, stealing domains, money, time, opportunity cost, and resources from business owners to promote it's website and company.
Such is ungodly, unethical and should not be tolerated in the marketplace. Please Retweet the following below which I sent today to the US Patent Trademark Association, ICANN regulating cyber law and prosecuting white collar crime, and the FTC.

Women's Empowerment Gender Metric and 150 Women Who Shake the World
I urge you to read Newsweek's piece on The Hillary Doctrine by Lemmon (a fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations) - March 14, 2011 issue. The same Newsweek edition mentions 150 women who shake the world.
The online version does not include 'The Gender Metric' which mentions the payoff for women's empowerment below:
1. Educating a girl one year beyond the national average boosts her earning power between 10 and 20 percent.
2. Countries with higher levels of female secondary-school enrollment have lower infant mortality, lower rates of HIV and AIDS infection, and better child nutrition.
3. The World Economic Forum's 2011 Gender Gap Index shows that a nation's prosperity correlates with the level of parity between women and men (in education, health, economic opportunity, and political empowerment). Countries with the smallest gaps in 2010 were Iceland, Norway, and Finland; Pakistan, Chad, and Yemen had the largest.
4. According to the WEF, the U.S. could boost its GDP by as much as 9 percent by putting more women in leadership positions in business and government and working harder to correct pay inequities.
5. Women still earn 33 cents less per dollar than men.
6. In the Asia-Pacific region, countries are losing between $42 billion and $46 billion a year, according to the WEF, by restricting women's access to the workforce.
7. When women earn their own money, they spend on their families a more than twice the rate of men.
8. Worldwide, companies perform better and produce better ideas when their highest ranks have gender diversity.
