After You – Book Review
I absolutely loved Me Before You. It broke my heart and I followed it with the movie adaptation; it was like a double dose of heartbreaks. This was the reason why I was so excited to read the sequel – After You. Although I would not have minded no sequel as a reader, but it generated a curiosity to find what happened with Lou after the first book.
Lou is filled with questions.These are the questions that don’t have an answer and she is probably not even interested to find them out. She works...

One Indian Girl – Book Review
Another Chetan Bhagat book? I’m always eager to read that because unlike many other people, I admire the man for initiating the reading culture in India among teenagers and young adults. One Indian Girl was special because in a much needed time, this was a book about women empowerment and feminism, which was also a clever move to sell millions of copies.
Please note that if you are looking for a spoiler free book review of One Indian Girl, you should not read ahead, I did not like the book, b...

Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale – The Joke is On Us
Flipkart draws in a good load of traffic on their website with every Big Billion Days Sale they come up with. I have always admired Amazon for their amazing delivery and great customer satisfaction. However, the alluring offers made me try the Big Billion Days Sale first handedly and I did a big mistake!
Supposedly (keep reading), they are giving additional 10% discount if you purchase beauty and grooming products worth Rs. 2500 and an additional discount of 15% when the cart goes above Rs. 5...

Oh You Courageous Men!
Blood gushing through his nose and eyes rolling sideways in a trance, he looked at me before the security guard pulled him by collar and started dragging him down the stairs. I turned around and noticed his torn out t-shirt, his clumsy walk and the crowd dispersing after enjoying the action.
The bleeding guy? He was a pick-pocket and was caught stealing someone’s mobile at Kashmiri Gate metro station. That’s what I got to know from someone who was present before me. It was 10:00 pm and I was...

It’s All in the Planets – Book Review
A new book by Preeti Shenoy? That’s enough to get me all excited because I admire her or how beautifully she pens down relationships. Especially since I have read ‘The One You Cannot Have’, I simply cannot ignore any of her books. The moment I found that I could pre-order It’s All in the Planets, I had hit purchase and I was too glad to receive an autographed copy.
On one hand, we have Aniket, an average techie guy committed with a girl ‘Trisha’ totally o...

Me Before You – Book Review
The praises for Me Before You are everywhere. First there were fabulous book reviews and then the movie was released and people were all over it again. I had bought both the parts of the series some time back, but procrastinated for no definite reason. Probably it was thicker than If I Stay and Where She Went, so I went ahead with those books first.
Me Before You is a simple and predictable storyline.The story begins with Lou Clark, the protagonist who loses her job at the café, the only thi...

I Miss You
I miss you!
When I open my eyes in the morning,
But I can’t find a morning wish from you;
And I wish I had woken up from my phone ringing.
I miss you!
When a cool breeze through the window caresses my face,
But I can’t feel your hair, tantalizing my senses;
And I wish I were standing there in your embrace.
I miss you!
When I’m walking down the street,
But I can’t hold your hand in affection;
And I wish you were standing at the next turn to meet.
I miss you!
When I’m watching a romantic flick,...

It was a Prank
“What happened?” I could trace the horrified look on my mother’s face. Tears were flowing down her cheeks as she constantly repeated the question. It was a prank. How could I have imaginedit would take such a ghastly turn?
I climbed up the stairs to my room; I shared it with my sister Nikita, which was pretty annoying since she I felt ambushed by her cheesy talks with her boyfriend. However, I was extremely glad today because I had been proposed by a guy who had been my crush for the past cou...

It – Book Review
Ever since I have read ‘The Shining’ I have become a fan of Stephen King particularly because of his storytelling skills and all the nightmares he can give to you as a reader. It definitely is one of the most popular books by him and I had to read it at some point of time. The procrastination was majorly due to the thickness of the book. 1376 pages? You’ve got to be kidding me!
It is not a book; it is an epic saga.The book begins in 1958. The town of Derry is inhabited by a horrible nightmar...

The ABC Murders – Book Review
It’s been months I read an Agatha Christie book and it’s strange because I haven’t read anything as intriguing as ‘And Then There Were None’ and I also enjoyed ‘Murder on the Orient Express’. Guess I’m in a phase where fantasy and romance novels are keeping me busy and this was supposed to be a healthy break from that.
The title itself is captivating.The ABC Murders! I had to read that the moment I laid my eyes upon it. As expected, there is a serial killer on loose and he/she is killing the...
