Sampler Giveaway and Moonshine Japanese Art

FIrst, the Japanese translation of Moonshine will be released in Japan July 25th and we have the cover here for all those manga-esque art lovers. There's another picture that's included in the book of Cal and Robin in the alley preparing for a fight. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to show that one, which is too bad...because Robin looks very, *very* nice indeed.

Also, my publisher has had samplers made up to give away at the cons this year. It's virtually a paperback book with the first chapter

ebook of NIGHTLIFE in the UK

From my editor's mouth to UK fan's ears...or computer at least.

" wanted to let you know about a new promotion we're launching in conjunction with the Waterstone bookstore chain in the UK.  For a select number of our romance and fantasy titles, for which we have world rights but no UK publisher, we are going to be selling the e-book edition through Waterstone.  These will be for use on the Sony Reader -- the Kindle is not yet available in the UK.  This will allow UK readers to buy novels not avai

Laziness, chest pain, San Diego, and a surprise

Does anyone remember, or have Moonshine at hand, the name of the woman Robin almost married before she died in Pompeii? It's on my other computer, the books are upstairs, and I have chest pain and don't want to move (actually I'm lazy and have massive heartburn from drinking too much hazelnut coffee, but we'll call it chest pain as that comes across a tiny bit less lazy)?

Also, I still don't know what day or time I'll be signing at Comic Con in San Diego, but if there are those who wanted signed

Winners and Cal and Niko take on Germany

First, here are the winners picked from the hat: parisindy, casey beck, kitsunehi13, sam-can-do-it, kodachiku, heather03nmg, psisstriker (which I'm sure means psi striker as in I'm a supercool mutant with psi powers but squished together the letters trick my eyes into thinking pisstriker...a slightly weirder mutant with the power to piss extremely long distances but that's just me.)

Please email me real world names and addresses to the email addy on my website and I'll pop the signed books in the

Book Giveaway

And now comes the yearly get-thee-to-Amazon and leave a review, so that I'm not embarrassed by the chick slayers getting hundreds of reviews and Deathwish getting much less. Maybe I should give the guys sex-change operations if that's the key to success. hmmmm. Thinking...thinking.

Regardless, if I have to buy the love, so be it. I'll be giving away seven signed Deathwishes. Go...review...then post your name in the comments here and I'll draw seven out of the hat.

Sorry, the Caliban Kleins aren't

This, that, and a man in tight jockeys

For those curious to what my book (published in Hungary Oct 2008...and I've still not been paid) looks like...here you go. It looks the same, but they left the rain in. Do wish they'd left the rain in in the US. Adds so much.

I also received two fabulous quotes for TRICK OF THE LIGHT from Charlaine Harris and Marjorie Liu and a great review for DEATHWISH from Affaire de Coeur. It's amazing how many reviews I receive fro

Tattoo Done/How Little Pucks Are Made

It's done. And as huge a wuss that I am, it didn't really hurt that much at all. More annoying than painful and the tattoo artist, Dale of Ageless Art Tattoo Parlor of Clarksville, IN, was very quick, so it was a great experience.

Here is xoozle's amazing winning tattoo. Wolves for strength and loyalty (like the guys), three (like the guys) and Celtic style for my pasty Scottish heritage. And Fratres in Armis for Brothers-in-Arms from Deathwish.

Also, someone in the Q&A wanted to know how little p

Tattoo Contest Winner (s)

The tattoo winners are: xoozle for first place (a celtic knot of wolves, representing strength and loyalty, my Scottish heritage, three wolves for the three boys and Fratres in Armis around the edge. If she let's me show the tattoo design, I will. If not you'll see it next week--on me. My appointment is Monday. Gah!)

And because cking1 come in such a close second with Niko's mala beads ( I loved those), I think she deserves a prize too.

xoozle: do you want the set of signed books or a Chris McGrat

Twenty Questions/Comic Con/Fan Art

Mainly this post is an excuse to use the new icon my best pal liketheriver made for me of Salome. If you've read Deathwish...heh heh...you'll get it. If you haven't gotten there yet, you may have a bit of spoiler. Tsk.

Since I do need an actual reason to post: A) I will be at San Diego Comic Con at the end of July as usual, hopefully doing another book signing (which I love. I love meeting my fans.)

B) In the past people have expressed a desire to ask questions about things not included in the b
