Electrify Me
Okay, those with youtube (damned dial up) or interesting criminal records...what does it look like to the observer when someone is tasered? Not a stun gun...I've seen that, but tasered. I knew all the risks of death. I need to know what it looks like to a person observing the tasered person. Do they immediately fall? Do they twitch? Do they flail? Do their eyes stay open? Are they frozen afterwards for about fifteen minutes?

Sexy+Mummy=Smexy
And you thought what smexy meant in teen slang, but you were wrong! Teen vampires versus the next, new trend:

And if you access this past the posted date, the comic is for October 12th, 2009. Use their archive.
PS...I'm using Twitter a lot recently...not on my phone (who wants to be interrupted that often), but via website...mainly because it loads about a hundred times faster than LJ. With dial up, that matters. For Twitter link, see right column on LJ page.

Hot for Teacher
I need some teachers to advise me. Is Longfellow's (no relation to Goodfellow) 'Paul Revere's Ride' still taught in American schools? Or would your average kid think it was a spin-off of Pimp My Ride? Would they recognize 'One if by land and two if by sea...'?

Lynn Viehl and Trick of the Light
I don't know Lynn Viehl personally, but I am aware of her status of hugely prolific author. She has a blog, which if you want to know the ins and outs of the publishing/writing world is probably one of the best places to go. Very educational and witty. And although I don't know Lynn, she did a very nice write up of Trick of the Light (thanks, Marjorie, for the heads up!) It's a great feeling when fellow authors enjoy something you've written, and Lynn's reviews are always to the point and hil...

How does one say 'Whee!' in Czech?
Or Cal would prefer to know, how does one say 'Where can I get a chili cheese dog?' in Czech?
Yes, most authors let any country scoop up their books, are sold in hundreds, thousands, millions (perhaps I exaggerate) of countries, but I keep it exclusive. This dance ain't for everyone--just the sexy people (don't I wish. Why doesn't the UK get off their ass and buy the rights to my damn books?? I know I have many fans there. Ah well.)

PUT DOWN THE HAMMER
I hate email crap forwarded to me. Bugs the hell out of me. I don't care about a two-headed 20 lb goat baby in India. But this....this hits every woman where they live. I almost pissed myself reading it. This woman is brilliantly talented. I stop writing today. I am humbled.
This is an actual letter from an Austin woman sent to American company Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She really gets rolling after the first paragraph. It's PC Magazine's 2007 editors' choice for...

Good Reads Trick of the Light
A fan emailed me that Trick of the Light is on Good Reads up for book of the month for October. There's voting or something. Go and do if doing is necessary please. How do all these authors manage do all of this, I will never know. They are much more expert with their time management than I am (and they also don't almost close their boob in the patio door. I think the days of lounging around in the morning with no bra are over...what a great reminder of my upcoming birthday. Whee!)

Whoring for Amazon Reviews
It's the annual...bi-annual now...whoring for Amazon reviews. I'll give fifteen signed Trick of the Lights to those who leave an Amazon review (unless it's not positive...if it's not positive, I'd either think you wouldn't want a signed copy or you have a strange internal struggle with yourself and need mental help.) If more than fifteen people leave reviews, I may up the giveaway to twenty. And if it's that high, I'll draw your names out of the usual Monty Python killer bunny houseshoe.

Peris
You know...well, first off this morning, I had my fingers on the wrong letters on the keyboard..apparently one of which was a w...and everything I typed until I realized looked like Welsh. I've decided I'm a language savant and have picked up Welsh simply by listening to the accents in Torchwood.
But the real issue...I'm surprised that after reading Trixa some people haven't said, 'Wait a minute. That's not what Robin said about peris.' Yes, Robin lied to Cal in Moonshine about who peris actua...
