TUPAC Double Feature: Conspiracy and Aftermath DVD

TUPAC - Double Feature: Conspiracy and Aftermath, on DVD Now   After watching these films you will walk away knowing the truth about this legendary rappers death. It will put to rest the rumors and speculations of the how and why.- Eunice Moseley, BALTIMORE TIMES  Tupac Shakur was shot and killed on this day 17 years ago. His unsolved murder has barely been addressed by law enforcement. Shakur sold over 75 million albums worldwide making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. MTV ranked him at number two on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time and Rolling Stone named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time. His double disc album All Eyez on Me is one of the best selling hip hop albums of all time. He was one of the most beloved artists of the 20th century... So why was he gunned down?
Furthermore, almost everyone that was present at the murder scene is now dead. The deaths of Frank Alexander and Michael Moore (both sharing the fact that they were the ONLY personal bodyguards present on the night Tupac was killed) is nothing short of bizarre.... And so began the Greatest Conspiracy Theory in the History of Hip Hop.
This double DVD documentary package featuring interviews with BOTH Frank Alexander and Michael Moore, examines the various conspiracy theories surrounding Pac's mysterious and violent murder. The films offer various explanations as to who could gain from his death and why. Directed by R.J. Bond, the films feature interviews with friends, family, law enforcement, lawyers and more, that slowly piece together the elaborate plot to assassinate the king of hip hop.
The first film of the double package,  Tupac: Conspiracy , examines the court case and offers expansive theories as to who might have done the crime. The film closely examines the murder of Tupac from the eyes of his bodyguards and those involved with the case at the time: Cathy Scott, the Las Vegas Sun reporter who was covering the story; Brent Becker, a primary Las Vegas Metro PD Detective assigned to the murder case; Don Erath, Jr. a Los Angeles homicide detective, and Mike Allen, former prosecuting attorney.  The second film of the double package, Tupac: Aftermath , demonstrates the unadulterated love that Tupac's friends and family share for him. Playing like a delicate companion piece, this documentary contains heartfelt interviews with friends who still, more than 17 years later, long for one last moment with the ubiquitous musical genius. It also includes home videos of Tupac reminding the viewer just how sweet, funny and talented he was; so opposite of his street thug image.   Orderhttp://www.seeofsound.com/p.php?s=MVD5924D

FUZZ's "What's In My Head"; Debut Album Out Oct. 1st

SELF-TITLED, DEBUT ALBUM OUT OCTOBER 1ST ON IN THE RED; NORTH AMERICAN TOUR KICKS OFF OCTOBER 2ND   FUZZ is Ty Segall (drums/vocals), Charles Moothart (guitar/vocals), and Roland Cosio(bass), three California-bred, heavy-rock lifers who've been refining their riffs together since high school. Formed in/around 2011 as a collaboration between Segall and Moothart (who also plays in the Ty Segall Band), it's only within the last year that the pair had sufficient time to guide the band out of side-project limbo and into a recording studio. Following singles on Trouble In Mind and In The Red, their self-titled debut LP dives deep, drawing inspiration from the more esoteric reaches of heavy metal pre-history. There are Sabbath and Hendrix nods, obviously, but one might also catch a whiff of UK progressive blues business like The Groundhogs or a glimpse of the ghost of Australian guitar-legend/sharpie guru Lobby Lloyde sniffing around. As evident via album tracks, "What's In My Head" and the previously shared, "Loose Sutures," the mood is not light. The songs project a state of perpetual paranoia and eroding mental health. And as it should be, you know? It's a record for the burners.
FUZZ is out October 1st on In The Red and available for pre-order beginning this Sunday night, September 15th at www.intheredrecords.com . FUZZ will kick off their North American tour, playing most cities for the very first time, come October 2nd.  Joining Ty (drums/vocals) and Charles (guitar/vocals) will be Chad Ubovich (bass). A full tour schedule is below.

Gambles shares new music video + Tour dates

GAMBLES SHARES "SO I CRY OUT" VIDEO VIA THE FADER
EMBARKING ON TOUR DATES IN EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA
DEBUT LP TRUST IS DUE ON OCTOBER 1ST VIA GMBLS
Photo credit: Eric Ray Davidson I just wanted to make something simple to pay respect to the story, but at the same time I knew I didn't want to tell the story too literally. Nola is my girlfriend, and luckily a tremendous actress. Joe Wehner is one of those rare people who instantly put you at ease-he wanted to collaborate, not control. What we were trying to do was vague, and relied on being honest. Not pushing too hard. We basically used Nola and myself as the story, the only planned shot was visiting a hospital. Everything else happened as we lived it, I was never acting. This was intense to create for so many reasons, I'm half scared half relieved to finally put this out there. I feel like I've been walking around with it for the past few years. Hopefully it puts things to rest for everyone else involved too.
This was a brand new process for me, editing everything alongside Joe, really just throwing things on a table and going at it. No rules, no ego. Joe was able to be in the room (shooting us) while still allowing Nola and I to be ourselves, and at times get very emotional with each other. It felt good to do something on such a small scale, it felt personal, the way it should. but at the same time, it felt like we were in our own world.

Gambles will tour in Europe and North America this fall alongside artists such as Jagwar Ma and Those Darlins. Be sure to catch him when he tours through your town.
About Gambles:Matthew Daniel Siskin began writing songs as Gambles in August 2012 with no goal or motive other than that the past few years needed addressing, and things that had gone unsaid for too long needed saying. The first song he released publicly was sang in a single take at the Rare Book Room with no words written. That was "Trust," the first song he would post on his tumblr and the same song that Pitchfork somehow found only a few weeks later and presented to the world. Gambles later returned to the Rare Book Room to record the Far From Your Arms EP, which was released via his very own GMBLS imprint distributed by Secretly Canadian. Gambles is now prepared to release his debut long-player Trust on October 1st via GMBLS.  Gambles is music and people, boiled down, sliced thin, and left to dry; yet it's clear that for Matthew, it's also everything, a life-saving perspective into events that demand to be acknowledged, registered, declared and when ready, left.

Low covers Rhianna & Mykki Echo's "Stay" for Rock For Kids

Low Covers Rihanna’s "Stay" For Chicago’s Rock for Kids
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lchC5sQepqE

@lowtheband: Mim made it clear this morning that this Rihanna song “Stay” is awesome. (3:57 PM – 15 Jul 13)   After performing a crowd-favorite live version of Rihanna’s “Stay” at the Pitchfork Music Festival this past July, Low was inspired to record a proper studio version to help raise funds for Pitchfork Music Festival charity partner Rock for Kids (see news story September 12th). Rock For Kids (www.rockforkids.org) provides music education to underserved children in Chicago. In between the festival and their ensuing European tour, Low returned home to record  the track at Sacred Heart in Duluth, MN. Low’s version of the pop ballad is a stunner and follows in the wake of the band’s March 2013, Jeff Tweedy-produced album The Invisible Way, and associated worldwide touring. Low will close out 2013 with an appearance at San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Fest in early October and extensive touring in Europe and the UK in November (tour dates here). Low’s version of “Stay” is available through iTunes now (www.itunes.com/low) and will see wider digital release in the weeks to come.
