The Mystery Lights Embark On European Tour Followed By East Coast Dates

The Mystery Lights Embark On First Tour Of Europe Followed By Select East Coast DatesIncluding Record Release Show At Mercury Lounge
Self-Titled Debut Album Out June 24th Via Daptone's Rock Imprint, Wick
Pre-order on Amazon and iTunes
Click on image below to watch live video shot at Daptone's House Of Soul Studiosduring the recording of the album    Mike Brandon and L.A. Solano have been in many different versions of The Mystery Lights under assorted monikers since their teens. In a heroic jump from the small town of Salinas, California to NYC, the band solidified its lineup to also include Alex AminiKevin Harris, and Noah Kohll. The explosive live shows gradually became the stuff of legend, as the quintet won their following one fan at a time in dives from Brooklyn to the Bowery. Organically unfolding over the nights months and years, the Lights’ sound has evolved into a fuzz-fueled hopped-up 21st Century take on 60s garage pebbles, and artful 70s punk, that is all their own. 2016 finds these rock’n’roll knights embarking upon the next logical step - unleashing their own brand of kick out the jams on tour and in the studio. When Daptone Records launched their Wick Records rock imprint, they wasted no time approaching Mystery Lights as their inaugural act.  Hot on the heels of the "Too Many Girls"/"Too Tough To Bear" single, Wick officially rolls out the Mystery Lights’ debut LP, recorded at Daptone Records' House of Soul studio, on June 24. Arrows Of Love announce gig dates at The Great Escape and London headline (feat. Bo Ningen's Yuki)

Arrows Of LoveAnnounce gig dates at The Great Escapeand London headline (feat. Bo Ningen’s Yuki)
[image error] “Alongside their trademark psychotic heaviness, there’s a sense of maturity about them now.” – NME
“Everything’s F*cked stands tall with the best of them. Its eleven tracks could quickly become your soundtrack to morning, noon, and night.” – The Line Of Best Fit
Following on from their recent support show with The Fall, Arrows Of Love have announced two shows at this year’sGreat Escape, as well as a London headline show with NTS where they’ll be joined on stage by Yuki of Japanese noise-rockers Bo Ningen.
Thu May 19 - The Globe - 10pmFri May 20 - Bar Rogue - Royal Albion Hotel - 8:30pmThu May 26 - UK - London - NTS Radio "Tunnel Vision" Live Show - Filmed for NTS TV
Yuki joins the ranks of special guests that Arrows Of Love have become known for adding to their shows, having previously played with members of Courtney Love’s band, Wolf Alice, Telegram, Flamingods, Jamie T and UlrikaSpacek.
New single ‘Toad’ out on May 27thvia Handspun Records
Listen  HERE
Following the acclaimed debut album, ‘Everything’s F*cked’, explosive art-rock collective Arrows Of Love return with their brand new single, ‘Toad’, out on May 27th via the bands own Handspun Records and on limited edition vinyl and tape via Strong Island Recordings.
A precursor to their anticipated second album, ‘PRODUCT’‘Toad’ is a biting anthem of pure grit and emotion reminiscent of the likes of Fugazi and The Jesus Lizard, with stoner riffs and a recording that stands up to the bands energetic live reputation. The track was produced by Mikko Gordon (Thom Yorke, Gaz Combes), in the studio he built himself at Goldsmiths University, and mastered by Bob Weston of Shellac.
The 5-piece led by co-writers Nima and Nuha recently found themselves backed by the UK's highly competitive PRS Momentum Music Fund. After accepting an invite from CMJ Music Marathon the band confirmed a string of US dates, followed by a headline London show with Parallel Lines before the recording of their follow-up could finally begin.
Arrows Of Love are, above all, a live phenomenon. Originally aligned with the early East London wave of bohemian rock bands, it was their fiercely independent and creative drive that has taken them across the globe, to the likes of SXSWand End of the Road, to sharing stages with the likes of Buzzcocks, British Sea Power, 80’s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The King Blues and many more. It’s on stage where London's own Arrows truly hit home.
Now, gearing up for the release of ‘PRODUCT’, the band are set to prove themselves the real deal. Drawing comparisons to the discordant, emotive musicianship of Sonic Youth to the raw power of McClusky, this second LP sees a band fully diversified, ready to release something truly unique.

CYNDI LAUPER'S 'DETOUR' CHARTS NO. 4
ON BILLBOARD TOP COUNTRY ALBUMS

Cyndi Lauper: DETOUR
DETOUR Tour Tickets on Sale Now
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 16, 2016) – Known best for her legendary pop icon status, Cyndi Lauper is reigning in a new legion of fans with her new country-tinged album DETOUR (available here), which just debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

"These songs had a profound impact on me when I was a little girl listening to my Aunt Gracie's kitchen radio in Queens. I grew up listening and admiring Patsy Cline, Patsy Montana, Hank Williams - all the greats from the Golden Age of country. It was an honor to record those beautiful songs for DETOUR and I am so thankful for the fans and the country music community for welcoming me with open arms," Lauper said.

DETOUR marks the Grammy®, Emmy® and Tony®-winning singer-songwriter’s foray into the country music arena, with a sweeping collection of country covers from the 40s, 50s and 60s, and media are already buzzing about the pop star’s unique approach:

“Cyndi Lauper tackles the genre with characteristically daring eccentricity.” - Keith Harris, Rolling Stone

“Once again [...] Cyndi Lauper has dauntlessly created a triumphantly amazing new release.” - Eileen Shapiro, Huffington Post

“...(Lauper) proves herself not only a competent country vocalist [...] but also a masterful interpreter in the classic tradition of the best female country vocalists of the late-‘60s.” - John Paul, Pop Matters

“[...] like Prince, the Grammy-winning vocalist is also constantly reinventing herself.” Megan Seling, Nashville Scene

“DETOUR makes all the right turns, never missing an opportunity to surprise the listener or stretch Cyndi’s style just far enough to keep things interesting.” - Jonathan Riggs, Idolator

Her latest release and first splash onto the country music scene also reached No. 29 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and No. 12 on the Top Current Albums chart. DETOUR features duets with several special guests, including Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill and Alison Krauss.

Lauper is back on the road after a DETOUR media blitz that included, “CBS This Morning,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” CMT Online, CMT’s Hot Twenty Countdown, GAC and “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” with additional features in Associated Press, USA Today, Rolling Stone Country, Maverick Magazine, NASH Country Weekly, Billboard and syndicated radio programs “Big D & Bubba,” “Kickin’ It with Kix,” “America’s Morning Show,” “Nash Nights Live,” CMT Radio and more.

While the 19-city first leg of the DETOUR tour kicked off May 9 at the “Mother Church of Country Music,” Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, the 16-city second leg will return Sept. 10 at Austin’s ACL Live and traverse the west coast before wrapping up October 8 at the The Joint in Las Vegas. Click here to purchase tickets.

John Grant drops new vid + on tour w/ Andrew Bird

JOHN GRANT SHARES "VOODOO DOLL" VIDEO VIA OUTON TOUR WITH ANDREW BIRD
GREY TICKLES, BLACK PRESSURE OUT NOWPARTISAN RECORDS (US) | BELLA UNION {EU)
WATCH: "Voodoo Doll" via YouTube or Out
Website | Facebook | Twitter | Press Kit
John Grant has unveiled a freaky, funky video for "Voodoo Doll" off his latest solo album, Grey Tickles, Black Pressure.  Directed by The Diamond Brothers, an identical twin directing team known for the Danko Jones Trilogy & Melt Yourself Down, the video sees John tending to a woolen doll in the hope of revitalizing his depressed friend before transforming into a Voodoo doctor and indulging his latent love of make-up.
Of the video the Diamond Brothers say: "We've been long time fans of John Grant since Queen of Denmark and leapt at the chance to collaborate on a music video for him. The rich visual imagery in his lyrics gave us so much to work with to create a lush world for his music to inhabit."
"Voodoo Doll" will also soon be released with a quintet of brilliant remixes putting their own distinctive slant on the track. Moshi Moshi recording artist Anna Meredith delivers the most idiosyncratic and individual take while Black Devil Disco ramp up the funk and keep the track firmly on the dance floor. Wrangler bring a more techy, "Voodoo Ray"-style element while Satellites groove things up with rhythmic guitars, and slap bass. Lastly, Welsh electro-pop Goddess Gwenno delivers a brilliantly spacey, synth-heavy remix alongside partner-in-crime Peski Kid.
John is currently touring the West Coast with Andrew Bird, find all dates below and here

WEEN to play Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco

WEEN TO PLAY TWO SHOWS AT BILL GRAHAM CIVIC AUDITORIUM IN SAN FRANCISCO ON OCTOBER 14 & 15

"There's no one in rock with the uncanny ability  to morph between genres as effortlessly as Ween." - JamBase

On the heels of the band's instantly sold out 2016 performances in Broomfield, CO and NYC's Terminal 5, Ween has added two shows at the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on October 14 and 15, 2016.  These will be the band's first shows in San Francisco since 2009.
Formed by Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo, Jr. in New Hope, PA, Ween has taken on a cult-like status with legions of devoted fans around the world. Beginning with six self-released cassettes in the 1980s followed by 11 studio albums, six live albums and a smattering of EPs through the 1990s and 2000s, Ween's recorded output is far-reaching in its styles moving from rock to punk to psychedelic to country to alternative and all points in between.
However, it's the band's incendiary live shows that have truly cultivated its diehard fan base. With longtime band members Claude Coleman, Jr. (drums), Dave Dreiwitz (bass) and Glenn McClelland (keyboards), Melchiondo and Freeman promise to dig deep into the Ween catalog to try "new stuff that nobody has ever heard live before."
An online ticket request period is currently underway athttp://www.ween.shop.ticketstoday.com.  The ticket request period will end Wednesday, May 18 at 5:00pm ET.
VIP packages are currently available at http://www.cidween.shop.ticketstoday.com.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 20 at 10:00am PT and may be purchased online at Ticketmaster and www.apeconcerts.com.
